Austrocallerya australis (Callerya australis) is the other species found from Port Macquarie north to the McPherson Range in Qld.It has a blunter leaf tip and a smaller seed with an orange hard seedcoat. Not sure where this plant shown here growing on my side fence originated from but it certainly is a spectacular bloomer and attracts a lot of attention-many people mistaking it for the exotic Wisteria.
