The weekend before last a crew of glass aficionados attended the second annual Michi-Glass Gathering which was held at a wooded camp in Lovells, Michigan. Rod builder Mark McKellip was host and organized the day which was complete with two tasty meals for all those that attended. Attendees included rod maker Mike McFarland who brought along some of his newest glass creations to add to the 150 (likely more) fly rods that were available for casting. Photographer Gregg Barckholtz was at the event snapping a few images and was gracious to allow me to post a few here in this post. Plans for next year's gathering are already in the works with Mark McKellip looking at a larger venue since attendance has grown so much over the past two years. For more images and information about the Michi-Glass Gathering please check out the Fiberglass Flyrodders forum.
