Bābur was the founder of the Mughal dynasty in India (r. 1526–1530). Although no artworks can be connected with his patronage, he completed the Bāburnāma (Memoirs of Bābur) shortly before his death. His grandson Akbar ordered a Persian translation, completed in 1589. In the 1590s, six illustrated copies were made, including the one in the British Library, London, from which this leaf comes. According to Bābur, his grandmother, Esän Dawlat Begim, was very intelligent. In October 1494 he sought her counsel regarding the rebellious Ḥasan Ya˓qūb.

Giclee (jee-clay) is an advanced printmaking process for creating high quality fine art reproductions. The attainable excellence that Giclee printmaking affords makes the reproduction virtually indistinguishable from the original piece. The result is wide acceptance of Giclee by galleries, museums, and private collectors. Gallery wrap is a method of stretching an artist's canvas so that the canvas wraps around the sides and is secured to a hidden, wooden frame. This method of stretching and preparing a canvas allows for a frameless presentation of the finished print.

Here is real food—our indigenous American fruits and vegetables, the wild and foraged ingredients, game and fish. Locally sourced, seasonal, “clean” ingredients and nose-to-tail cooking are nothing new to Sean Sherman, the Oglala Lakota chef and founder of The Sioux Chef. In his breakout book, The Sioux Chef’s Indigenous Kitchen, Sherman shares his approach to creating boldly seasoned foods that are vibrant, healthful, at once elegant and easy. Sherman dispels outdated notions of Native American fare—no fry bread or Indian tacos here—and no European staples such as wheat flour, dairy products, sugar, and domestic pork and beef. The Sioux Chef’s healthful plates embrace venison and rabbit, river and lake trout, duck and quail, wild turkey, blueberries, sage, sumac, timpsula or wild turnip, plums, purslane, and abundant wildflowers. Contemporary and authentic, his dishes feature cedar braised bison, griddled wild rice cakes, amaranth crackers with smoked white bean paste, three sisters salad, deviled duck eggs, smoked turkey soup, dried meats, roasted corn sorbet, and hazelnut–maple bites. The Sioux Chef’s Indigenous Kitchen is a rich education and a delectable introduction to modern indigenous cuisine of the Dakota and Minnesota territories, with a vision and approach to food that travels well beyond those borders. Hardcover 256 pages Written by Sean Sherman, contribution by Beth Dooley
This is an original mixed media painting by "Tazz." It is titled, "Crossing The Border." The measurements are 21.75 X 18.75." framed. It is ready to hang. The painting depicts a woman carrying her child across a border. The frame is made of resin, embellished by the artist. The painting is done on canvas board. Please view all photos for details. As the original founder/owner of Buffalo Chips, originally located in the hip Soho neighborhood of New York City, this artist has designed clothing, art, jewelry and more for celebrities from all areas of the entertainment and business world. Billy Bob Thornton, Julia Roberts, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce Springsteen, are among his clientele, (just to name a few). Tazz is considered an outsider artist, as he has no formal art training. He is multi-faceted in his talents and abilities. In addition to painting, he is a highly skilled carpenter, craftsman and successful clothing, jewelry, accessories, boot and interior designer. The label, "Renaissance Man," has been used to describe him. He has had art shows on both coasts, in Las Vegas and New York City. His designs have been featured in major fashion magazines in both the United States & Europe, including Elle, Vogue, Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan, Architectural Digest and more. Tazz has created his own process for painting, involving mixed media. It evolved from interior renovation work that he was doing, (creating a special finish for the walls), that precisely duplicated the aging walls of the old villas of Tuscany, which inspired him. Being environmentally conscious, the beautiful frames, mattes and backings that Tazz creates for each painting, utilize recycled materials. Each custom frame is a work of art itself. The Artist also adds sarcastic humor to much of his subject matter and often his titles. Each piece is painstakingly hand burnished and requires many hours of work. Tazz prepares his canvas or board by covering it with his special concoction. He never has a preconceived idea of what the painting will be. After hours, days, or weeks of scrutinization, the image appears before him, in the crevices that appear. He then proceeds to add all of the details, down to the most minuscule. Touching of Tazz's paintings is encouraged. They feel great, due to the hand burnishing. Thank you for your interest! Have a great day!

The Course of Empire is a series of five paintings created by Thomas Cole in the years 1833–1836. It is notable in part for reflecting popular American sentiments of the times, when many saw pastoralism as the ideal phase of human civilization, fearing that empire would lead to gluttony and inevitable decay. The theme of cycles is one that Cole returned to frequently, such as in his The Voyage of Life series. The Course of Empire comprises the following works: The Course of Empire – The Savage State; The Arcadian or Pastoral State; The Consummation of Empire; Destruction; and Desolation. Thomas Cole (1801 – 1848) was an Anglo American painter known for his landscape and history paintings. One of the major 19th century American painters, he is regarded as the founder of the Hudson River School, an American art movement that flourished in the mid 19th century. Cole's work is known for its romantic portrayal of the American wilderness. Print: A premium quality heavyweight (200gsm) fine art print material with a smooth, clean finish. In Germany he began to make a name for himself and became involved with the Jugendstil publication Pan, which actively promoted the graphic arts. In 1895 the magazine’s co-founder, Julius Meier-Graefe, published a portfolio containing eight drypoints and etchings by Munch. The set included Two human beings (The lonely ones) (opposite, below). The mood of existential loneliness is rendered all the more poignant by the presence of a man and woman staring together out to sea at the rocky beach at ?sg?rdstrand, yet physically and psychically separated from each other.
