Well June was exciting with the Brisbane Scrapbook Expo and all the shopping, learning and social activities that comes along with one of the biggest scrappy weekends of the year! Of course along with all of that are the fabulous new Scrapmatts releases :) Ornate frames are one of my favourites and the newest release Ornate Frames CB4066 certainly had me feeling happy! Using Scrapmatts Chipboard Ornate Frames CB4066, Scrapwords CB6088 and CB1168, Feathers CB1222 along with Charms Fob Watch CH037 and Filigree Flowers #7 CH014 How gorgeous are the new feathers? I just want to use them on every project :) With my title I used the word 'Times' from the pack CB6088 and cut the 's' off the end as I didn't need the plural. Also for the 'in' I used the word 'inspire' from the CB1168 pack and cut off the 'spire' to get the word I needed. I love playing with ATC's and created these two vintage style cards: Using Scrapmatts chipboard ATC's Rounded Corners ATC10-008 and Arch ATC10-007, Ornate Frames CB5095, Scrapwords CB1191 and CB1197, Clocks CB1107 along with Charms Filigree Flower CH073 Finally this is the layout for the class I taught at Scrapbook Expo using the new Ornate Frames. Thank you to all of the fabulous ladies (and one fantastic gentleman!) who came along and joined in the fun. Hello blogging friends! Today, is the first day of the JustRite® Papercraft August New Release! We have several beautiful new stamps sets, coordinating SVG file, and die templates so share with you. For the first day of the New Release the Design Team will be sharing projects made with one of the new stamp sets and two new background stamps. CR-02112 Hope and Love Vintage Labels Eight and Nine Clear Stamps CL-02086 Cornflower Damask Cling Background Stamp CL-02104 Ironworks Vintage Labels Eight Cling Background Stamp Here is the card that I designed using CR-02112 Hope and Love Vintage Labels Eight and Nine Clear Stamps. For the background I stamped the roses using VersaMark Ink and then I used white embossing powder and heat set with a heat tool. Then I used Distress Markers-Broken China, Mowed Lawn, Picked Raspberry with a little bit of water to watercolor the background paper. I used painters tape to tape down the watercolor paper. Then I heat embossed and added watercolor to the paper. I love how the colors turned out so soft and dreamy! Here is a close up of the background paper. Next I used the same stamp and added color using Distress Markers- Mowed Lawn and Picked Raspberry. I added water to the image to blend and fade it out. Then I heat set the paper. After that was done I used JB-02087 Vintage Labels Eight Dies to cut/emboss the label shape and then stamped and embossed the sentiment and I edged the label with metallic gold. Here is a close up of the sentiment. I used gold embossing powder and I added some sequins too. Here is a close up of the background. I added some Stampendous-Aged Ivory Embossing Enamel and Aged Gold Embossing Enamel for another layer and some texture. To finish the card I distressed the edges of the watercolor paper and added some May Arts Silk Ribbon Tiffany Blue and Metallic Gold String. Then I added the background to a pink cardbase. Hello Everyone! Today is Day 3 of the JustRite Papercraft release and the team are showcasing a clear stamp set called Celebrations Sentiments - full of really, really useful sentiments that can be used for lots of different occasions! They are also a great size and I can see this will be a 'go to' set for the future! :) The other two new products that are joining the JR shelves are dies (and you know that I love dies!) - Vintage Labels Nine - a lovely rectangular shape that will be fabby for sentiments and other things and Vintage Flourish One Die - a gorgeous accent piece! Today I've also used Ironworks Background which was officially released on Monday. :) I've started with a base of Cherry Cobbler and layered with Baked Brown Sugar and Very Vanilla. The Very Vanilla panel has been stamped with Ironworks Background in Memento Rhubarb Stalk, airbrushed with Copic R30 and then lightly coloured some of the flourish pieces with R30 and R32 and then a touch of E13 to warm it up a little. The centre of the frame has been airbrushed with E51. Next I've die cut two pieces of Baked Brown Sugar using Vintage Flourish One Die and attached as shown. Over this I've cut a piece of Remember Me DP with Vintage Labels Nine and glued to front. Over this I've attached a piece of ivory ribbon. I've then used the second smallest of the Vintage Labels Nine dies to die cut a piece of Very Vanilla, lightly airbrushing it with R30 Copic and then stamped the sentiment from Celebrations Sentiments in Memento Rich Cocoa. I've attached this by placing a piece of brown gingham ribbon through the holes. I've then added a double bow, topped with a brown button and finished by adding A LOT of Kaisercraft Chino pearls all over it! :) Stamps - Celebrations Sentiments, Ironworks Vintage Labels Eight Background (JustRite) Paper - Cherry Cobbler, Baked Brown Sugar, Very Vanilla, Kaisercraft Remember Me DP Ink - Memento Rhubarb Stalk, Rich Cocoa Accessories - Copics, JustRite Vintage Labels Nine, JustRite Vintage Flourish One Die, Ivory and Brown Gingham Ribbons, Brown Button, Kaisercraft Chino Pearls. Hi, everyone! A couple of days ago I shared with you my excitement and a little sneak of my new Prima line. :) Today I'd like to show you one more of my new altered frames. Say hi to Hania and her sister. :) This adorable little girl with a white bow is my mom, Hania and the girl next to her is her sister Basia. Aren't they the sweetest little creatures...? These metal frames are like little doors to whole new worlds - you can fill them with anything your heart (and imagination) desires! :) I decided to create a hideaway for my girls... Can you spy a little bird watching over them? :) I wanted to create some depth with this bricks stamp and some Mechanicals. All the colors were achieved thanks to one of my favorite supplies - Primary Elements pigments (we've just had a fresh batch in our store!) + a little bit of gesso. I hope you'll find my new frames inspiring and fill them with some amazing worlds of yours... And pssst.... there is more to come...! :) Hugs!

Hi Folks! :) Today I'd like to share with you two things... 1) A bunch of new stamps I designed for Viva Las VegaStamps! and 2) the outcome of one of our Art Journaling Classes! Every 1st Sunday and 3rd Sunday of the month I teach a class down at The Crafting Place on Russell (By the airport for you local peeps!) all about art journaling. We go over supplies, techniques, tips n tricks. Each class is different, and each is fun! You bring yourself, $10, an apron, a journal and a non stick craft mat. I bring everything else. {From our most recent #artjournalingclass} Now let's move right into new stamps... This is Plate 1455. FULL of Art Journaling background bits.. patterned pieces, grunge pieces, textural elements and more! YUM. It has a Double Coffee Ring, Stitching, Tape X, Paper Clip, Mesh Texture, Texture Background, Writing Circles, Smear/Smudge, Bubble Wrap Texture, Measuring Tape Section, Six Staples, Staple X, Three Staples, and Writing Triangles. And those are all just on this one plate! I've also done a few new stamps on other plates... Grunge Circles | Sheet Music Background | Your Time as a Caterpillar Seahorse | Wonderland | Wilderness | Seedling | Deliver To | Checklist Cube SO much goodness! I can't NOT use it all. I swear I've stamped every new stamp at least once. and most of them a hundred times! Today on the VLVS! Blog I'm sharing an Art Journal Spread of one of our December #Artjournalingclass (es) that was all about cohesive background stamping and faux metal bits.
