Our master's edition, off-white, archival museum-quality paper, is uncoated and the superior choice for art enthusiasts who appreciate world-class quality to enjoy artworks most luxuriously. Features: The 250 gsm/ 110lb paper is perfect for fine art, designed to last for years without losing its original beauty. Our matte paper is uncoated and natural white (off-white). With alkaline papermaking technology, this poster is acid-free, meaning the pH of the pulp that is used to form the paper is above 7 (neutral). The paper is also buffered with an alkaline reserve, such as calcium carbonate, to neutralize acid compounds absorbed from the atmosphere or formed through natural aging. This ensures that your poster will last many years without any yellowing or discoloration. Our poster is free from or low in OBA (optical brightener additives). This ensures that the natural white color of the paper remains consistent under different lighting conditions. In contrast, the color of papers that contain optical brighteners can shift depending on the light source. Additionally, the color of OBA-free paper remains more consistent over time so that you can enjoy the poster for years without any shifts. We use FSC-certified paper or equivalent certifications depending on regional availability. It’s better for the people and the planet. Each poster is shipped in robust packaging, ensuring it arrives safe and secure. Paper sizes may vary slightly by region. For the US and Canada, the measurement is in inches, while for the rest of the world, it is in centimeters. It is printed and shipped on demand. No minimums are required.

Book details: • 198 pages, Paperback • 22cm x 18cm • 196 colour images • Published in 2015 • Language: Dutch The full original title of this book is "Honderden Van hand tot hand: Handschoenen en wanten in de Nederlanden voor 1700." Annemarieke Willemson is curator of Middle Ages at the Museum of Antiquities in Leiden. She has produced this fascinating overview of hundreds of archaeological and extant gloves and mittens from the Netherlands. These are further illustrated by an impressive selection of depictions of gloves and mittens in visual sources such as paintings and sculpture. Though the text is in Dutch the book is visually rich and contains many previously unpublished images and sheds light on a topic about which little has been written. "Annemarieke Willemsen researched mittens and gloves that came to light during excavations: unsightly pieces of leather and textile, but very instructive if you want to know how these things were (and are) put together... The book contains a surprising amount of information on a piece of clothing history just as small as it is underexposed... The relationship is interesting between gloves and honour or etiquette: sometimes it is a sign of respect to wear them, sometimes not to wear them." (Excerpts translated from the 13 May, 2016 issue of Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad story "An Underexposed, Erotically Charged Piece of Clothing".)
“Accidental Carpet” is made from old woollen blankets that are cut in strokes and glued together on a textile base. All carpets are handmade with blankets that are available at that moment; patterns and colors are constantly changing and therefore each carpet is unique. This carpet is number 26 and is indicated on a label to the underside. The carpets themselves resemble wildly colorful brain scans. But this is no accident—the studio created the first “Accidental Carpet” for a children’s epilepsy hospital to brighten and enliven its surroundings. Remy would pass the centre daily on his way to his studio, and was struck by the cold, sterile interior of the centre. The children needed something more and something colorful, slightly whimsical, perhaps even cheeky. And so, the first “Accidental Carpet” was born, and it remains to this day at the hospital. Each carpet is unique in shape and color and produced by hand in the designers’ studio in Utrecht, the Netherlands. The carpet and pouf design were recently acquired by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. From LACMA's site: "This rug and pouf provide an outstanding example of Tejo Remy and René Veenhuizen’s ethos and practice of incorporating “upcycled” materials. It was designed in collaboration with Remy’s wife, the site-specific artist Tanja Smeets. In 2008, the three were commissioned by a foundation in their native Netherlands to create a more pleasant environment for children being treated for epilepsy at the Hans Berger Clinic in Oosterhout. As Smeets explains, they created colorful rugs because: "To minimize the effects of an epileptic fit, you need warmth and softness: an environment with rounded forms and lots of places to sit and lie down. We chose used wool blankets as our basic material.” This solution to the problem of a cold and sterile environment was enthusiastically received not only by the patients and their families, but also by people responding to the intimacy and sheer joy the design invokes and has resulted in many other commissions for the rugs, including the one purchased for LACMA’s collection. Each is unique in shape and color and produced by hand in the designers’ studio in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Designed in collaboration with Tanja Smeets.

Colorful Giclée fine art reproduction of Shepherds in a Round Dance tapestry, Netherlands, around 1500. This is a beautiful long-lasting print that won’t fade. It’s produced with the highest quality inks and thick warm white matte paper - using museum-quality Giclée print processes. I've spent a lot of time with this image, addressed small imperfections, and may have adjusted its original borders to better ensure it will look great in modern-day frames without requiring a custom mat. All materials (including packaging) are biodegradable and provide a more pure purchase and guilt-free giving. Size and styling guide: • 4 x 5 / 4 x 6 : Tuck inside a card or place in photo stand on a desk, table or shelf • 5 x 7 : Flexible size suitable for shelf, table, desk, or wall • 8 x 10 / 8.5 x 11 : See greater detail while still fitting in most spaces • 9 x 13 : Nice balance of detail and size • 11 x 14 : Make a statement! A 1/8 to 1/4 inch white space borders the print, helping to frame the image if its being displayed without a traditional frame, and keep more of the image seen if it is. Since vintage images do not always fall into modern sizing, some prints will have a larger border on two sides. Please see listing photos for more visual information. For example, the first image shows an 11x14 crop, and the image in the frame (if shown) a 5x7. Other sizes and customizations are available. Just ask! The colors you see on your monitor may differ slightly from those of the print due to variations in monitor settings. Lighting in the room you use the item may also affect appearance. Art arrives unframed and shipped flat in a rigid photo mailer or low profile crush-proof box. All materials are recyclable or biodegradable. I love seeing art in their new home.
