In deze tutorial leer je hoe je een eenvoudig etui met een rits en een voering naait. Met deze uitleg stap-voor-stap kan iedereen een etui naaien!

Iedereen kent het wel: een overvolle portemonnee omdat je van veel winkels een klantenkaart of spaarkaart hebt. Daarom maken we deze week een portemonnee om al je pasjes in op te bergen. Zo krijg je in je portemonnee weer ruimte voor wat er eigenlijk echt in moet: geld!
Mijn eerste portemonnee zelf ontworpen en genaaid, en ik ben er best trots op ;) Natuurlijk zijn er veel patronen op internet te vinden die hier op lijken, maar deze heb ik net iets anders gemaakt! Ik ga je laten zien hoe ik het heb gedaan ;) Een tijd geleden kocht ik bij de Hema schriften met vierkante blokjes van 1X1 cm in A4 formaat, ideaal om patroontjes op te ontwerpen! Duur waren ze niet, ik dacht iets van 3 euro voor 3 schriften. En daarmee kan je heel veel patroontjes ontwerpen en tekenen ;) En als je het in de midden openslaat en je haalt de nieten er voorzichtig uit heb je nog grotere vellen. Mijn patroon paste op een enkele bladzijde trouwens. Dit is het geworden. Voor de ronde kanten bovenaan heb ik een omgekeerd schaaltje genomen als begeleider, dit kan natuurlijk ook een klein bordje of iets dergelijks zijn als de uiteinden maar goed uitkomen op de rechte strepen. De stippellijn is de 2e doorstiklijn dus niet de uiteindelijke grootte van het patroon, de buitenste lijnen zijn de uiteindelijke maat dus hier knip je het patroon op uit en leg dat op 2 stofjes. Ik koos voor een stukje spijkerstof en een bedrukte stof. Let op dat je wel 1 cm naadtoeslag eraan knipt! Alleen de opstrijkbare versteviging knip je op werkelijke grootte uit, want je wilt juist de naadtoeslag zo dun mogelijk houden omdat je straks al meerdere lagen op elkaar moet gaan stikken. Hierboven dus de geknipte delen, rechts de opstrijkbare versteviging wat de uiteindelijke grootte wordt. Ik gebruikte een vrij stevige ;) En erop gestreken ;) natuurlijk op de "verkeerde" kant van de stof. Dan leg ik de spijkerstof en de bedrukte stof met de goede kanten op elkaar en stik dit net naast de versteviging rondom vast, behalve natuurlijk aan de onderkant want je moet hem nog kunnen keren! Daarna de onderste hoeken rondom afknippen, en bij de bovenkant aan de ronde zijden inkepingen knippen tot net een paar millimeter boven het stiksel. Dit doe je allemaal omdat je anders bobbels krijgt na het omkeren. Zo worden de naden mooi plat ;) Door het open gebleven stuk omkeren en de naden mooi plat strijken. Het open gebleven stuk strijk je nu ook gelijk naar binnen en plat. Dan rondom een stiksel net naast de rand en een ter breedte van je naaivoetje (dit is ongeveer 7 mm). Dan vouw je het onderste gedeelte naar de goede kant dubbel, in mijn geval de bedrukte kant aan de buitenkant en stik dit vast op het buitenste bestaande stiksel. Nu is je portemonnee al bijna klaar! Vouw de klep goed erover en pers vervolgens een vouw erin zodat ie mooi sluit. voorkant achterkant En dan nog een knoop toevoegen, dat was even een denkfout van mij, ik heb namelijk een hoop reserve metalen drukknopen liggen en dacht dan sla ik er zo een van in. Maar helaas moet je daar dus een speciaal setje voor hebben waar je ze mee inslaat, een soort van pinnen en een beschermplaatje waar je de knoop inlegt. Vroeger wel veel van die setjes gehad maar natuurlijk tijdens een opruiming allemaal weggegooid, stom! Dus zocht ik naar een andere oplossing, een gewone in naai bare drukknoop want ik had dus ook geen kleur knoop die bij dit stofje past :( en zo zonder knoop erop is het ook al druk genoeg toch? Maar eerlijk is eerlijk, een drukknoop had handiger geweest, en sneller! Dus binnenkort maar eens snel wat bestellen ;) Nog een reden dat ik deze stofjes koos, hij past nu mooi bij mijn tasje wat ik een tijdje terug maakte! Ik heb nu dus een lichtgewicht tas en portemonnee, ideaal ;) Natuurlijk is het niet een portemonnee om dagelijks mee te nemen, maar dat is het tasje ook niet. Het is heel eenvoudig en snel om te maken, dus zeker een model voor beginners! Wel ga ik zeker nog een uitgebreidere portemonnee ontwerpen waar ook pasjes en dergelijke in passen want ik vind het erg leuk om te doen! Wat vinden jullie ervan?
Het is er eindelijk van gekomen... een tutorial voor mijn 'specialisatie'; de clutch/ de knip/ de oma-portemonnee. I reveal my secrets en hopelijk hebben jullie er veel plezier van. Gebruik deze tutorial om jezelf of anderen te verwennen met een mooi cadeautje, maar niet voor commerciele doeleinden. Deze handleiding is uiteraard ook te gebruiken voor een frame zonder gaatjes! STAP 1: De benodigdheden Stof voor buitenkant (hier: Times Treasures, Alice Kennedy, Owls Cream) Stof voor de voering Vlieseline Het frame (vekrijgbaar via fournituren-websites of Etsy) Textiellijm Een patroon STAP 2: Het patroon Neem je frame als uitgangspunt voor het maken van je patroon. Plaats je frame op een papier en bepaal het middelpunt. Trek nu met de pen een lijn langs de buitenzijde van je frame. Draai het frame en bepaal welke vorm je je knip wilt geven (de hier getoonde knip heeft een trapezium-vorm als patroon). Teken met een liniaal een rechte lijn van de hoek van je frame naar beneden. De lengte van deze lijn hangt af van de diepte en de grootte die je de knip wilt geven. Het door mij gebruikte frame is 10.5cm breed en deze lijn is in dit geval 9,5cm. Hoe schuiner de lijn hoe meer diepte je hem kunt geven. Geef aan waar het frame eindigt. Ik noem dat punt A. Trek vervolgens een lijn naar de lijn die vanaf middelpunt frame recht omlaag loopt. Spiegel het nu getekende zodat er een symetrisch patroon ontstaan. N.b. met de bovenkant van je patroon kan je niet varieren. Met de overige lijnen kun je experimenteren. STAP 3: De stof Verstevig je stof (afhankelijk van de dikte) met vlieseline. Ik gebruik graag een dunnere soort en verstevig hier zowel buitenkant als voering. Neem je patroon over op de stof. En markeer hierbij duidelijk de punten A en B. Knip het patroon uit: voeg overal minimaal 0.5cm naadwaarde toe. STAP 4: Naaien met de machine 4.1 Leg de stof van de buitenkant op elkaar (goede zijden naar elkaar toe). Begin te naaien bij punt A en naai over de lijn naar punt B. Herhaal dit voor de voeringstof. Het is belangrijk om deze punten heel precies over te nemen en aan te houden bij het naaien! Dit zijn de punten waarop straks je voering en buitenzijde gaan samenkomen. 4.2 Neem een hoek van je stof en vouw deze plat. Je markeert nu hoe 'breed' je de portemonnee wil hebben. Ik markeer op 2 cm van het hoekje. Naai over deze lijn en knip het overtollige hoekje af. Herhaal dit voor de overige 3 hoeken. N.b. dit kun je naar smaak en model aanpassen. 4.3 Draai je voering-deel de goede kant op. En stop deze in je buitenstof-deel. (Of omgekeerd, zoals je op onderstaande foto ziet.) Je gaat ze nu aan elkaar naaien. Het 'kruispunt' van voering en buitenzijde komt straks als het goed is onder het scharnierpunt van je frame te zitten. Let op, want hier kan het goed fout gaan!!! Speld de voering en buitenzijde aan elkaar. Start met naaien precies op punt B, volg je patroonlijnen en eindig exact op punt A. Speld de laatste 2 'flapjes' aan elkaar en begin weer op punt B, maar... laat boven in het rechte stuk 4cm open, om straks je portemonnee te keren. Eindig weer exact op punt A. STAP 5: Naaien met de hand Draai je clutch de goede kant op, gebruik hiervoor de opening aan de bovenzijde. Druk alle hoekjes en naden goed naar buiten. Naai met de hand de keer-opening netjes dicht. STAP 6: Bevestigen aan het frame Nu gaan we de stof aan het frame vastmaken. Ik gebruik hiervoor "Pronty" textiellijm (Markt/Stoffenspektakel), maar ook Gutermann heeft hele goede! Deze soorten zijn goed te verwijderen van de stof en overtollige lijm kan met bijv. nagellakremover van het frame worden afgehaald. Vul het frame aan een zijde met lijm en zorg ervoor dat de lijm goed verdeeld is (met bijvoorbeeld een sate-prikker). Volg nu de gebruiksaanwijzing op je lijmtube, soms moet je de lijm een beetje laten drogen alvorens hem verder te gebruiken. Duw de stof helemaal in het frame en druk stevig aan. Laten drogen. Herhaal voor de andere zijde en... KLAAR IS JE CLUTCH!

Dit weekend vierde een vriendin haar verjaardag en ze vroeg… geld. Best een saai kado! Dus om het wat leuker te maken, maakte ik een kl...
Af en toe ben ik toe aan bandwerk. Breinloos bandwerk. Om er terug in te komen. Ik geloof dat het nu ruim een half jaar geleden zal zijn dat ik 'plots' naar de Petit Pan winkel in Antwerpen moest. Ineens moest en zou ik mooie toile-ciréekes scoren. Het ultieme excuus dat ik al zoveel over die winkel had gehoord en bij de plaatselijke stoffenwinkels slechts een beperkte collectie terugvond, zat als vastgebeiteld klaar in mijn achterhoofd. Gek, hè, die plotse drang naar stofjes? In elk geval, eens aangekomen in die winkel, keek ik de ogen uit mijn hoofd. Zotjes mooie stoffen dat ze daar hadden! Dus kocht ik enkele kleurrijke coupons. Zoveel leuke kleurtjes door elkaar, voor tal van opties,... Voordeel van toile cirée, in dit geval gelamineerd katoen om precies te zijn, is dat je het tot op de cm kan opgebruiken. Ik schuimde het www af, en botste op deze leuke en handige portemonneetjes. Tijdens een bezoekje aan de binnenspeeltuin, knipte ik heel wat rechthoekjes (15 cm breed en 25 cm hoog) uit. De lange ritsen heb ik ooit eens bij Aliexpress besteld. Een beetje versteld van de goede kwaliteit, kocht ik er nadien nog blinde ritsen, en tot op heden nog geen moment spijt van gehad. Door de omvang van mijn projectenbak, kwam ik nu pas toe aan het naaien van mijn portemonneetjes. Een twintigtal had ik al eens genaaid en deels kado gegeven bij verjaardagen van nichtjes en neefjes. Nu werd het dringend tijd om komaf te maken met ook dit 'project'. Mijn projectenbak begint ondertussen echt leeg te geraken, geloof me ;-). Tijdens 'the making of'' nam ik tussendoor de tijd om foto's te trekken, als reminder voor een volgende keer. Alle lof gaat integraal uit naar Deborah. Sinds mijn eerste stapjes in naailand, volgde ik haar blog op de voet en werd ik al zo vaak geïnspireerd met veel 'Ooh's' en 'Aah's' tot gevolg. O ja, voor ik het bijna durf te vergeten... Langs deze weg ook een dikke dankjewel aan mijn twee kadeekes... Zij hielpen mij met het openen van de ritsen en het keren van de portemonneetjes. Zo vereerd dat ze waren dat ze mama mochten helpen! Tijdens de feestdagen gaf ik al enkele exemplaren met ofwel een kadobon of 'old school' centjes erin weg. Veel persoonlijker en net iets origineler dan een gewone envelop ;-). Wie graag zelf aan de slag gaat, kan alvast deze stapjes volgen. Naai je rits aan de korte zijden vast. Hoe langer de rits, hoe gemakkelijker. Ik richt mijn rits naar boven, zodat de ritsvoet er netjes langsheen glijdt. Steeklengte 3.5 en de naald iets naar rechts op 2.0. Voor de gelamineerde katoentjes gebruikte ik een standaardnaald nr. 90 en voor de stevigere plastiek van Kitch Kitchen (kabouters) nam ik een ledernaald. Open de rits zodat het doorstikken vlot verloopt. Dit keer steeklengte 3.0 en breedte op 3.0. Op die manier glijdt de teflonvoet netjes langsheen de ritstandjes. Zonder teflonvoet zou je machine weleens lastig kunnen doen. Naar het schijnt zou plakband onderaan je gewone naaivoet ook lukken. Nu heb je een smalle koker en kan je kiezen op welke hoogte de rits komt. Ik koos ervoor om het midden van de rits op 3,5 cm te houden. Snel even vastpinnen met de 'magische' wonderclips. Zeer handig tegen het verschuiven! Geen wonderclips? Geen probleem! Haarclips kunnen ook! Stik de kant waar de ritsrunner niet aan zit op 1 cm dicht. Ik gebruikte hiervoor steeklengte 3.0. Steeklengte 2.5 lijkt mij iets te kort opeen in plastiek. Knip het teveel van de rits eraf. (Lorun merkte hier op dat je ook eerst de rits kan afknippen om dan pas dicht te naaien ;-) ) Open de rits zo ver als je kan (anders zal het keren niet lukken!) en stik alles opnieuw op 1 cm vast. Zo, dit is hoe je portemonnneetje er dan uitziet. Maarrrr... mijn perfectionistisch kantje kwam naar boven zodat ik de uiteinden van de rits toch nog even zigzagde. Op die manier rafelt de rits na verloop van tijd zeker niet uit. Hiermee duwde ik de hoekjes uit. Ook zeer handig voor die kleine hoekjes van kragen etc. Stof gelamineerd katoen: Petit Pan - Petit Pan winkel Antwerpen Stof kabouters: Kitsch Kitchen - Bobby Sewing Natuurlijk naaide ik er enkele te veel ;-). Eens begonnen is dit best verslavend, dat zal je wel begrijpen. Daarom mijn eerste give away! Hip hoi! Wat voor moeilijks moet je hiervoor doen? Wel... Laat hieronder enkel een korte reactie achter met het portemonneetje van jouw voorkeur (incl. kleur rits indien verschillend). Lorun en Casper zullen op zondag 8 januari elk een naam trekken. Ondertussen gaan de voorbereidingen hier volop door voor mijn grote plannen. BTW nummer is aangevraagd (het wordt echter en echter). Tussendoor maakte ik ook een reeksje stoffen envelopjes. Kwestie van waardebonnen voor een workshop mooi te verpakken. Inspiratie haal de ik hier en daar. Al tekende ik wel mijn eigen formaat uit en werkte ik ze af met een KAMsnapje.

De laatste week van't school is het hier steevast hetzelfde liedje... deadline! Ik zag hier leuke tasjes die ik ook wel wilde maken, met tutorial en al, heel gemakkelijk dus. De sluiting haalde ik vorige week gelukkig al in huis, maar het naaien dat bleef liggen. Uitstelgedrag, inderdaad... Gisterenavond was het dus echt wel 5 voor 12 en ben ik er maar meteen ingevlogen. Om wat tijd te winnen liet ik de voering achterwege, maar paste ik de vorm wel aan. De diamantvorm spookte al langer door mijn hoofd en na een beetje gepruts aan een prototype zaten de exemplaren voor de juffen al snel in elkaar + eentje voor mezelf. Ik gebruikte stof die prima te gebruiken is voor dit tasje: vilt (Lotte Martens - textile box - LeChaperon(un)limited) kurk (K-bas) witte skai (markt) zacht nepleer (Kapellen) Ik ga er alvast nog een paar maken, ze zijn ideaal om een centje cadeau te doen! Dan leg ik de spijkerstof en de bedrukte stof met de goede kanten op elkaar en stik dit net naast de versteviging rondom vast, behalve natuurlijk aan de onderkant want je moet hem nog kunnen keren! Daarna de onderste hoeken rondom afknippen, en bij de bovenkant aan de ronde zijden inkepingen knippen tot net een paar millimeter boven het stiksel. Dit doe je allemaal omdat je anders bobbels krijgt na het omkeren. Zo worden de naden mooi plat ;) Door het open gebleven stuk omkeren en de naden mooi plat strijken. Het open gebleven stuk strijk je nu ook gelijk naar binnen en plat. Dan rondom een stiksel net naast de rand en een ter breedte van je naaivoetje (dit is ongeveer 7 mm). Dan vouw je het onderste gedeelte naar de goede kant dubbel, in mijn geval de bedrukte kant aan de buitenkant en stik dit vast op het buitenste bestaande stiksel. Nu is je portemonnee al bijna klaar! Vouw de klep goed erover en pers vervolgens een vouw erin zodat ie mooi sluit. voorkant achterkant En dan nog een knoop toevoegen, dat was even een denkfout van mij, ik heb namelijk een hoop reserve metalen drukknopen liggen en dacht dan sla ik er zo een van in. Maar helaas moet je daar dus een speciaal setje voor hebben waar je ze mee inslaat, een soort van pinnen en een beschermplaatje waar je de knoop inlegt. Vroeger wel veel van die setjes gehad maar natuurlijk tijdens een opruiming allemaal weggegooid, stom! Dus zocht ik naar een andere oplossing, een gewone in naai bare drukknoop want ik had dus ook geen kleur knoop die bij dit stofje past :( en zo zonder knoop erop is het ook al druk genoeg toch? Maar eerlijk is eerlijk, een drukknoop had handiger geweest, en sneller! Dus binnenkort maar eens snel wat bestellen ;) Nog een reden dat ik deze stofjes koos, hij past nu mooi bij mijn tasje wat ik een tijdje terug maakte! Ik heb nu dus een lichtgewicht tas en portemonnee, ideaal ;) Natuurlijk is het niet een portemonnee om dagelijks mee te nemen, maar dat is het tasje ook niet. Het is heel eenvoudig en snel om te maken, dus zeker een model voor beginners! Wel ga ik zeker nog een uitgebreidere portemonnee ontwerpen waar ook pasjes en dergelijke in passen want ik vind het erg leuk om te doen! Wat vinden jullie ervan?

Gisteren was het naaidag. Ik liet de kuis en de strijk voor wat het was en maakte er een gezellig naaidagje van. Wat restjes stof opwerken, één en ander uitproberen. Vorige week zag ik een leuk polsportemonneetje passeren op facebook, helaas vond ik geen tutorial. Ik had de foto's opgeslagen, bestudeerde die even en begon eraan. Met dit resultaat Zoals vele keren postte ik de foto in de groep en raar maar waar, vandaag al 330 likes... En omdat er heel veel vraag was naar een tutorial (die ik eigenlijk pas volgende week zou maken), ben ik er maar direct aan begonnen. Patroon: Je meet je onderarm en neemt er 8cm bij. Hier 17cm + 8 = 25cm (naadwaarde is hierbij toegevoegd). Als hoogte nam ik 10cm maar dat kan je zo hoog of laag maken zoals je zelf wilt. Nodig: - voering: 3 lapjes stof van 25cm x 10cm en 1 lapje van 10cm x 10cm - buitenstof: 1 lapje stof van 25cm x 10cm en 1 lapje van 10cm x 10cm - vlieseline H630: 1keer 23cm x 8cm en 1 keer 10cm x 10cm - kamsnaps Als je er een paspoort of bankkaart in wilt krijgen, maak je heb 2 cm breder, dus 25cm x 12cm. Knip alle delen uit Strijk de vlieseline op de buitenstof Leg de rechtste kanten van de 2 zakjes én het flapje op elkaar. Stik dicht maar laat telkens de bovenkant open en laat een keergat in het binnenzakje. Duid aan waar straks het flapje komt. Knip de naden en de hoekjes bij. Ik doe dit graag met een kartelschaar Keer het buitenzakje en flapje, duw de hoekjes uit (met een haakpen) en strijk. Binnenzakje laat je binnenste buiten Spelt het flapje tussen de markeerpunten Steek nu het buitenzakje in het binnenzakje, speld en stik rondom rond Keer alles Van de volgende stap vergat ik een foto te nemen dus hier zie je een ander zakje. Groen is de binnenvoering met keergat. Strijk even plat en stik het keergat dicht. Hiervoor zet ik mijn naald links, het midden van mijn voetje glijdt langs de naad Steek de binnenvoering in het zakje en strijk Stik links en rechts van het flapje dicht Passen, kamsnaps bevestigen en klaar is kees Veel succes ermee!!
