Hi all! I want to share my card for My Favorite Things Wednesday Sketch Challenge 439. The sketch is fun and challenging so let's play along with us :) My Favorite Things supply that I'm using : BB Cute Chemists for the images and sentiment Dienamics BB Cute Chemists to die cut the images I stamp the images, color it using Copic then die cut it. The sentiment is from white embossing powder. For the background, I'm using Dye Ink with blending tool then splash white watercolor with a brush. Hello all! Today i'm here with a new Color Challenge by My Favorite Things. This week i decided to go for a baby card that i have send out to a niece, she just became a mom of a beautiful little boy called Tobias. Vandaag ben ik er met een nieuwe kleuren challenge van My Favorite Things. Voor deze week heb ik een kaart die ik maakte voor een nichtje van mij die een aantal weken geleden bevallen is van een zoon Tobias. So i cut a topfold A2 seize card (10,7 x 14) out of Kraft cardstock. Out of Smooth White cardstock i cut the scalloped panel from Blueprints 27 Die-Namics, i cut it twice as i decorated the inside this time also. Voor de basis sneed ik een topfold A2 kaart (10,7 x 14) uit Kraft cardstock. Uit Smooth White cardstock stanste ik het scallop paneel van Blueprints 27 Die-Namics, deze stanste ik twee keer omdat ik ditmaal ook de binnenkant maakte. Cut all the babyclothes, letters and accessories out of Kraft, Naturel, Berrylicious and Tropical Teal cardstock. Glued them together and added some details using a white gelpen. Heat embost the sentiment on some Black Licorice cardstock and cut it using a banner die. Stanste alle babykleren, letters en accessoires uit Kraft, Naturel, Berrylicious en Tropical Teal cardstock. Plakte alles op elkaar en voegde wat details toe met een witte gelpen. Heat emboste de tekst op Black Licorice cardstock en stanste het uit met een banner stans. On the inside i stamped another sentiment. I had some left over die cuts so i used that to decorate the inside of the card. Aan de binnenzijde stempelde ik nog een tekst. Ik had nog wat stansen over en gebruikte deze om de binnenkant te versieren. Have a lovely day! Greets, Marieke

Hi, everyone! Welcome to another edition of Monday Musings. Today's card is an Operation-Write-Home-inspired card that is perfect for a TV-loving man. Stampin' Up! core black; Core-dinations white; Distress Ink fired brick, (SU?) vellum My Favorite Things stay tuned stamps and television dies Distress Ink black soot and fired brick, heat embossed with Ranger clear powder on vellum SU neutral brads Recollections black and white Winnie & Walter big, bold sentiment words in DI fired brick The June Our Daily Bread Design challenge is to make a miss you card, which is one of the most commonly requested cards by our troops. I decided to go with a CAS card that could be sent to a dad/husband/brother. Missing You cards are tough to do for guys... but I think this one fits the bill. I've been wanting to make a red-black-and-white card, ala Mad Men graphics, for about a month or so. When I saw that the current Shopping Our Stash challenge is Red, Red Wine -- and since there is not one single wine item in my stash, I immediately jumped on using red paper for the TV and red ink for an "important" part of the message. When I tinkered with using other colors for different card elements, it felt like the other colors took away from the bold statement made by these two red elements. So, I grounded the card with a little black... and stood back to appreciate the strong visual impact of this card. I'm also going to link this up to the current Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Blog's Make It Masculine challenge. Even though this card is going to OWH, it certainly would be appropriate for any of the three main men in my life. :) Parting Thoughts OWH Finish Strong Remember that August 1 is the deadline to get cards to Sandy as OWH continues to finish strong. Weekly challenges continue through July, with another sketch challenge coming this Saturday. :) Cards in Envy There is a Girls, Girls, Girls Challenge going on Cards in Envy. This week and next, we are looking for cards for the ladies and, as always, cards should be mail-able in standard A2 envelopes and have a thickness of 1/4" or less. This month, W2SB is looking for cards for the men in our lives using "It's a Man's World" as our inspiration words. Voor mijn kaart maakte ik als eerste de achtergrond, dit deed ik door gebruik te maken van MFT inkten en de Take Shape Stempel. Plakte de achtergrond op een Cement Gray basiskaart. Stanste alle elementen van de Cassette Tape en Portable Jams Die-Namics uit Smooth White, Lemon Drop, Black Licorice and Cement Gray cardstock. Assembeld all the elements and stamped and heat embost the sentiments using the stamps out of the Mixtape Sentiments and the Mixtape Messages. Ahered all the elements onto the card and for some details I added some White gelpen touches. Plakte alle elementen in elkaar en stempelde / heat emboste de teksten van de Mixtape Sentiments en Mixtape Messages. Plakte alles op de kaart en bracht nog wat witte gelpen details aan. I'm here to share a project made with the fun new soda pop die, the bottle cap dies and the coordinating stamp set from the upcoming release that will be available for purchase tomorrow night at 10pm EST. I colored my bottle with copics and the covered it in glossy accent to make it shiny realistic. The message on the label was embossed in white. There are two bottles in this die set and then plenty of stamps to make lots of different kinds of sodas and bottlecaps - the possibilities with these are endless and so much fun! Her colored birds and mushrooms complement her color palette perfectly with a stamped sentiment banner completing her adorable design. Joy used the sketch as inspiration for her underwater scene. She kept each of the window openings the same with a soft blue ink blended background, mimicking the look of ocean water. Colorful fish and greenery complete the look with a stamped sentiment for the greeting. Keeway used the sketch layout to design a grid of adorable kittens in various poses. The added black & white polka dot background adds great contrast and really keeps the focus in her stamped images. Congratulations, Gayle! Today I've played with a super fun donut die set with awesome stamps that coordinate. As you will soon see, this was just the first of many cards created with these fun new goodies! Hello again! I'm popping in today to share a project that was inspired by this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge! It's a lovely sketch, and lends itself perfectly to my favorite kind of design - clean and simple, with a little bit of graphic thrown in for good measure! Here's this week's sketch: And here's my interpretation of the sketch: I used the Gift Tag Die-Namics to create the dome-shaped aperture from a 4" x 5.25" Smooth White panel. I adhered some rainbow-order strips (colors listed below) that I created using the Straight-Up Rainbow Die-Namics onto the card base so that they aligned towards the left side of the aperture. I die cut the Scripty Smile Die-Namics, three times from Smooth White and once from Black Licorice card stock, and I adhered the layers together with a glue pen. I die cut some of the flowers, stems and leaves from Smooth White using the Stitched Garden Die-Namics. I've listed and linked all of the MFT products that I used below.
