Hi Stamping Friends! Yesterday, I shared a couple of Mini Curvy Keepsakes Boxes featuring the Let It Snow suite. Today, I did a LIVE Class and showed just how easy it is to decorate and assemble the
Have you spied this little gem in the catalogue? Introducing the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Die Box! A sweet little box that is perfect for a little treat, some jewellery and lots more! I can see these as little table favours on the dinner table and co-workers' desks and just because gifts. I haven't received my order yet so I snaffled a photo of some made by Connie Collins - aren't they adorable in the copper and navy? So quick and simple to make and so elegant. In true Stampin' Up! style it also has a coordinating stamp set with little sayings for the tags which you can cut out with the dies and also some background stamps to add some interest to your boxes. Don't you just love the little shapes? Perfectly sized for the boxes. Now you might be thinking that you have seen this die before - and you would kind of be right. We used to carry a larger version - this one is smaller and needs no gluing together like the previous one. Here is a video to show you how quick and simple they are to construct! One piece of 6x6 DSP or cardstock is all you need. I am on a little holiday at the moment, staying with my crafting bestie, Lynne, & I brought a limited amount of crafting supplies with me, including the Curvy Keepsakes Box die. This fortnight the team at CASE-ing the Catty are taking inspiration from boxes & bags in the Holiday Catalogue & Lynne made a super cute version of the inspiration piece on page 11, using a coloured image from the retired Greeting Card Kids stamp set as a feature panel:- ETA - Lynne has added details to her blog now. You can see her post here. :) You can see all the beautiful design team projects, as well as play along at the challenge here (click on the graphic):- Lynne liked these little boxes so much that she has spent the afternoon cutting 36 more, complete with contrasting print panels, making an early start on her Christimas gift giving! :) Thanks for stopping by! You can see my entry for this challenge here. :) Lynne's Project Components Cardstock, Image, Twine, Dies & Blendabilities - Stampin' Up! Der kleine Eskimo aus dem Stempelset "Ausgestochen Weihnachtlich" hat es mir besonders angetan. Zu dem Set gibt es eine passende Handstanze "Lebkuchenmännchen".
Today I have another sneak peek for you. This Mini Curvy Keepsake Box is my first Christmas share from the upcoming Holiday mini. It is just sooooo stinkin' cute!!! I love the size and also the Holly and Berry stamp is beautiful. It is from the Christmas Gleaming stamp set. A beautiful new set, I will have more to share with that later, it amazing! I stamped the Holly image with Stack Stazon and colored with my Aqua Painter and ink pads. I fussy cut it out and put aside to make my box. I die cut the box using a piece of DSP from the Let it Snow pack. I also die cut two ovals from the Mini Curvy Keepsakes Dies set, one for my sentiment and one for the Holly leaves. The "Joy" came from the "Hearts Come Home" stamp set from last year, that is no longer available. I layered the two die cut ovals together and ran two pieces of white twine through the holes to attach them to the box. I ran the twine through the handles of the box and tied a pretty bow. I then used dimensionals to add the Holly image to the oval. I used my Wink of Stella pen all over the Holly and Berry image. It adds a really pretty shimmer. Listed below are all the "ingredients" used to make this card. If you would like to buy the products for yourself, I would be very happy for you to shop with me. You can get to my online store by clicking on any of the thumbnail images below. If you purchase from me be sure and use my hostess code: 6RZ72GZU All orders 50.00 and over will receive a gift from me. Hello and welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog Hop with special guest Rachel Tessman from the United States. Rachel has been a demonstrator for 17yrs, and her blog 'Stamp your art out!' is full of inspiration, I particularly like her "outside the box" projects and her scrapbook layouts. I was so tempted to CASE and create a scrapbook page, I have so many that I need to complete! In the end I decided to CASE the below technique that utilises the Fine Tip Glue Pen to create a resist image: This is such a great technique that allows you to add sponging to a project without altering the colour of your image, here is my project: The Curvy Keepsake box is one of my favourites, you can dress it up or down depending on your reason for creating a favour/gift box. I used the cute little egg from the Sale-A-Bration set "Hey Chick!" and stamped the lower edge of Curvy Keepsakes diecuts and then coloured with Watercolour pencils and a Blender Pen. I used the Fine Tip Glue Pen to cover the legs of my little chicks, when dry I sponged Wild Wasabi for a grass effect along the base of the box. I decided to sponge So Saffron on the top of the box too with the colour deeper on the handle and blending down to nothing towards the stamped chicks - kind of like the sun is shining :) Be sure you hop all the way around our Crazy Crafters hop and see all the incredible creations, and if you have a chance please leave a comment, we love receiving comments! Hello, and welcome! I made a bunch of little treat holders using the Mini Curvy Keepsake Die set along with designer paper from the Plaid Tidings 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper Pack. The sentiment is from Harvest Hellos. I punched them out with the 1" Circle Punch, and layered each on a 1 1/4" Circle. I already had leaves, and sprigs left over from another project so I just attached them using Tombow Multipurpose Glue. Each one holds a Dark Chocolate Lindor candy. So quick, and so cute.
