Now I have made another one and took some pictures of the process. I tried three different methods to make those narrow stripes and I think with paper piecing I got the best result. I don't know the English name for this paper but it's kind of tearable non woven fabric. The length doesn't matter as long as it is at least 3 1/2". Cut 10 pieces 3/4" wide stripes of fabric. I sewed the vertical triangles together and the horizontals together. I didn't tear the paper away because it was easier to sew the tiny pieces with it on. The left one is "mini mini" because made it accidentally with eight stripes. I'll use it on some very tiny pouch later. You just need a little patience and precision but the end result is a very pretty block.

Scroll down for English please. Tulipa pitkä postausväli! Olen valmistellut muutamaa ompelusta, jotka ovat kyllä nyt valmiit mutta niistä oma postaus sitten hieman myöhemmin. Hankin tässä jokin aika sitten Quick Curve Ruler Minin. Isompi versio viivaimesta minulla on jo ennestään. Viivainta piti tietysti heti kokeilla ja ostin tämän mansikkamallin täältä, siellä myös kuva viivaimesta. Peittona tämä malli olisi varmasti upea mutta ainakin ensi alkuun kokeilin jotain hieman pienempää. Ohjeet olivat kyllä yksityiskohtaiset mutta tarkkana sai olla, oikein tosi tarkkana, ettei leikkaa väärin. Kaarien ompelu ei ollut hankalaa, sillä ne eivät olleet kovin jyrkkiä kurveja. Tikkaukset tein ihan suoraa ommelta. Tyynyn paikka tulee olemaan kesämökin keittiössä, vanhalla vihreällä puusohvalla. Näen jo sieluni silmin kuinka hyvin se sinne sopii. Vielä jokunen viikko odottelua, että sinne päästään. Taakse laitoin vetoketjun ihan yksinkertaisella systeemillä, kuten useimpiin tyynyihin on tullut laitettua. Ajatukset on jo kovasti kesässä ja mansikoissa. Sitä ennen täytyy tyytyä näihin Espanjalaisiin ja ommeltuihin mansikoihin. **** It's long time since my last post. I have been sewing few quilt projects but I will tell about those later. I bought a Quick Curve Ruler Mini some time ago and I wanted to try it right away. I bought this strawberry pattern from here and there is also a picture of the ruler. This pattern would be awesome as a big quilt but this time I made something smaller. Even though the pattern was precise I had to read it very very carefully. It was'n difficult to sew those curves because they are not very curvy. The pillow goes to the kitchen of our summer house. There is an old green wooden couch and I can imagine how pretty it looks on it. I'm really waiting for summer and Finnish strawberries but it will still take many weeks. In the meantime I have to eat Spanish ones and just sew strawberries. Linking up with finish it up Friday.

De 6552 mirakelse hoedjes zijn even op stap. Ze worden hier, in 't nieuwe oude huis, best wel gemist door DH,... ;o) Waar ze naar toe zijn? De kleine vingerhoedjes zijn aan het logeren in 't Brabantse land bij Dorry. En toen Frauke en ik daar waren, konden we hiet niet laten om even de Goof huisjes van 7 en een halve cm naast die van Jeanneke te hangen,... Die van Jeanneke lijken een slagje kleiner, maar zijn toch echt even groot. ;o) De bewoners van mijn huisjes houden van 'n groene buurt. Er huppelen konijntjes rond, de bloemen doen het er goed, en er zijn zwemmen zelfs eendjes,... Eendjes???? Ja, op de witte sashings zitten badeendjes, ik heb de stof ooit gebruikt in m'n Nearly Insane. Zo dat was het weer voor vandaag, ik spring zo in de auto, op weg naar mijn mam. Fijne dag allemaal,
