This is the only cooking method that produces perfectly cooked, tender lentils. I have been searching for other foods to cook rice in my new fancy rice cooker since we got it. Lentils were a great choice because they are small and easy to cook. They can also be spiced in many different ways. I used the 2:1 ratio of water to lentils and added some bay leaves and garlic cloves. These are the same seasonings that I use when cooking on the stovetop. Guess what? They came out perfectly! They came out perfectly. These Rice and Lentils Cooked in a Rice Cooker are: Tender Great texture Perfectly cooked Full of flavor Useful for soups, stews, or salads This recipe can be made without stirring or using the stovetop Delicious, vegan, gluten-free, high in protein, and so delicious! The Best Lentil-to-Water Ratio I used the 2:1 ratio of water to lentils and set the rice cooker on the "Grain" cycle.
