As much as I love using patterned paper for card making, sometimes it's fun to just stamp some pretty flowers on white paper. I used my Mini Misti to help with stamp placement. I also used a nice heavy weight cardstock so my cards are a good quality, even with a simpler design. Stamps -

The new MFT kit for May is here and its so cute! These florals are gorgeous and so easy to stamp. I picked some random colors and stamped them out. The dies are open, of course, and cut the flowers out perfectly centered. I added the flowers to a scored card base. Last, I die cut the hello out with adhesive paper and covered it in glitter. CAS and so easy! Head on over to the MFT blog to see more about the kit. I will be back tomorrow with another peek! Thanks for stopping in!

We're here again with another MFT Color Challenge! Join us as we create with this week's color combination. This challenge features soft colors to inspire you — Primitive White, Berrylicious, Grout Gray, and Cement Gray. Create cards, scrapbook layouts, home decor, treat containers, mixed media, etc. using this color combination and be sure to link your project below for a chance at a My Favorite Things Gift Voucher worth up to $20. Your My Favorite Things Creative Team can't wait to share their inspiring projects using this color palette. Let's see what has been going on in their creative minds. These soft colors have a wintry feel to them, so Barbara created a peaceful scene for this lovely holiday card. Majestic gray mountains are the perfect backdrop for our gorgeous Birch Trees Die-namics. Keeway's take on Color Challenge 52 is completely different! She features a pretty kitty from our Cool Cat stamp set in a window with lovely patterned curtains. It kind of makes me want Berrylicious shutters on my house! This mostly neutral color palette really gives the chance for one color to shine. Joy does just that by using Berrylicious for the flowers from the Flashy Florals stamp set. Wouldn't this card be a delight to receive in the mail? Congratulations, Jeanne Jordan! You are the randomly selected winner of the MFT Color Challenge. You can view all the entries from the last challenge HERE. If you are looking for further color inspiration, feel free to download past MFT Color Combinations HERE. You have until Wednesday, September 7th, at noon EDT to add your link and be eligible for the prize of up to $20 in MFT Cash. Winners are chosen at random, so everyone has a chance! The prize is a $15 Gift Voucher to My Favorite Things, but if you use MFT stamps and/or dies in your project, you’ll receive an extra $5. Watch for shout outs on the blog every Tuesday, too! We'll feature fun, unique, clever, and noteworthy projects submitted using MFT products with design tips and trend talk. Who knows? You might be SPOTTED! I'm putting this up on the blog to participate in Darnell's 2nd Annual April Fool's Boo-boo Hop and NBUS Challenge #11. Our entry can be sharing our boo-boo's and/or NBUS! No prizes, but just fun times seeing that we all have those moments! So here is the front of the card in all its glory! These are stamps and dies from My Favorite Things. You may be wondering, what's the problem? Well, the "problem" is that I had the entire card front adhered to my card base before beginning the sentiment inside! There must've been an earthquake when I stamped this sentiment! I guess I was in shock because I then promptly dropped the ink pad onto the card!! Argghhh!! What to do?!! Also notice the little smudge along the right side!! So I wracked my brain and Ta-da! It clicked into gear and saw the extra pieces and parts leftover from the front! Re-stamped the sentiment & die cut it with a Spellbinders die to cover the original boo-boo. The extra leaves and flower covered the ink smudges!! YAY! LOL! So the moral of this story, for me, is to consider completing the inside before finishing the front. We'll see if that happens.....haha! Thanks so much for taking a look!

Hello and welcome to the last day of MFT’s July Release Countdown! Tonight’s the night! All of the new products we’ve been sharing over the last few days will be available for purchase tonight, July 5th, at 10pm EDT! Be sure to stop by the MFT Blog for all the details! Today we’re previewing WTG Time for the Bubbly Stamp Set, WTG Time for the Bubbly Die-namics, Chevron Fringe Die-namics, Flashy Florals Stamp Set, Flashy Florals Die-namics, Thanks & Hello Die-namics, Scattered Surface Background, and Happy Birthday Die-namics - Free with $60. I have a couple of cards for you using some of these new products so lets get started. My first card uses Flashy Florals Stamp Set, Flashy Florals Die-namcis, Thanks & Hello Die-namics (all of which were in the May Card Kit) and Chevron Fringe Die-namics. I started with a Black Licorice card stock base, added Chevron Fringe Die-namics, cut from Brushed Gold card stock, then popped up another panel of Black Licorice card stock on which to work. First I added Thanks & Hello Die-namics, also cut from Brushed Gold card stock. Then I cut Flashy Florals Die-namics from Smooth White card stock, stamped with Flashy Florals Stamp set (colors listed below) and added fold accents by stamping with Versamark and heat embossing with gold detail embossing powder. ***** My second card includes a fun shaker element. I started with a Sweet Tooth card stock base, then applied some Peerless Watercolors on Ranger Watercolor paper with a waterbrush. I cut my shaker window with Inside & Out Stitched Circle STAX Die-namics, used heat resistant acetate for the window, foam mounting tape for dimension, and filled it with Pretty Pink Posh sequins. I found some watercolor paper on my desk that I’d stamped with Tiny Stars Background and Versamark then heat embossed with white detail embossing powder. I thought it would make some awesome balloons so I stamped it with BB Beary Special Birthday and Black Licorice hybrid ink, colored with Peerless Watercolors, and popped them up on the card front. To finish off, I cut Happy Birthday Die-namics from Sweet Tooth card stock and adhere it. And that’s it for the last day of MFT’s July Release Countdown! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hi! Today we are sharing cards created from the May Card Kit from My Favorite Things in combination with other fabulous MFT products. The kit will be available in the shop tomorrow night at 10pm EST. The kit this month is called Flashy Florals and has lots of wonderful cardmaking goodies. I wanted to go more graphic than usual and came up with this design - it is not what I'd usually make but think it came out all right. I started by stamping the large flower and leaves with black hybrid ink. I don't own a MISTI (yet) but think it would have been perfect for this card. All new products will be available for purchase tonight at 10pm EST. Complete product details, videos and links to all designers playing along with today's featured products can be found at the MFT Blog. I'll be back tonight at 10pm EST for the New Product Launch with My Favorite Things! Please Note: The May MFT Stamps Flashy Florals kit is now SOLD OUT. The Flashy Florals stamp set will be available in a future release, however. Thanks! Welcome! Just popping in to share one more Flashy Florals card and to let you know that the MFT Stamps Flashy Florals Kit is now available! I chose non-kit colors for this card, all linked at the bottom of my post. I love layering flowers. Can you tell? :-) Here is the inside of my card, same color scheme as the front of my card and with the same Copic B32 Airbrushed background. I used Die-namics 27 on this card front--love that scalloped, stitched border! I wanted my flowers to show through the sentiment, so I used some vellum to heat emboss my sentiment on, and then attached it underneath the flowers on the left. For more inspiration, be sure to check the...
It's time! You may now purchase My Favorite Things May Card Kit--Flashy Florals-- in the MFT Store! Before you go (and you'd better run!) I'd like to share one more project using other MFT products in addition to the kit's contents. I prepared a white top folding card in landscape format and adhered the khaki striped paper that was cut with the rectangle element from Blueprints 24. The flowers and leaves were inked and spritzed with water before being stamped on watercolor card stock. After they were dried, I cut them out with their coordinating dies and assembled them on the card. For a bit of dimension, I gently pulled up some of the leaves. The sentiment was cut from brown card stock and adhered to the card, and a few gold sequins finished off the card. I have to admit that I'm not a "flower person" and I have a terrible track record when it comes to taking care of plants. But the Flashy Florals Kit makes me feel like I have two green thumbs! I had a blast creating with this kit and I hope you do, too! Thanks so much for stopping by during the countdown and release. Don't forget to comment on all the participating designers' blogs by Thursday, May 19th for a chance to win a $50 MFT gift voucher! InLinkz.com

Hi everyone! Happy Tuesday! I am back today to share another card that I created using the INCREDIBLE new Flashy Florals Card Kit! I just cannot get enough of this kit…it is SO inspiring! It will be released tonight at 10PM right HERE in the MFT Boutique! I am seriously obsessed with the Flashy Florals Card Kit. OBSESSED. For my card today, I went a little “out of the box” and added a sentiment from the Label Maker Sentiments set, which I thought worked perfectly with the “thanks” die-cut! I started by stamping the flowers and leaves, cut from Smooth White Card Stock in the kit, using the Flashy Florals Die-namics, and then stamped them with Flashy Florals using the inks included in the kit. LOVE. I cut out “thanks” from the included Steel Grey Prestige Card Stock and then coated it with a Glaze Pen to give it a shiny look. I arranged the flowers onto a panel of Smooth White Card Stock cut with the Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics, popping them up with Jody Boosters. I used the Label Tape Die-namics to cut the Smooth White Card Stock panel and stamped it with “FRIEND” from Label Maker Sentiments using Black Licorice Premium Dye Ink. I popped it up with Jody Boosters and then added the “thanks” on top. I added a trio of rhinestones to the focal panel as well. I used Blueprints 13 Die-namics to cut a panel of the included Ripe Raspberry Prestige Card Stock and stamped it with the included, and totally fabulous, Scattered Surface Background, using the included Pure Plum Premium Dye Ink. LOVE. I'm continuing to share new cards featuring products from the July Vault Release by MFT Stamps and today my card uses the following re-released products:- Flashy Florals Flashy Florals Die-namics Inside & Out Stitched Oval Stax Die-namics Twice The Wishes A2 Stitched Rectangles Sets 2 Stax Die-namics I was so happy when MFT re-released the Oval Stax Die-namics and I die cut using the largest in the set and ink blended in a soft pink and soft minty green. I distressed it by spritzing on watered down white acrylic paint and when dry I stamped the sentiment, then backed the panel with dimensional foam tape and applied it to a panel of white cardstock scaled down by using the Rectangles Stax Die-namics and in turn this was glued to a pale pink panel in full A2 size. I stamped the Flashy Florals and die cut using the coordinating die-namics and first of all added the main flower using dimensional foam tape and then added in the greenery by tuck them behind the main bloom and added a few more mini flowers to brighten it up. To finish this simple birthday card I applied some pink Nuvo drops. Thanks for stopping by! Back tomorrow with one last card for this vault release, hope to see you here then.
Welcome! Today I have a floral card to share using the lovely My Favorite Things Stamps May Flashy Florals Kit. We actually had snow flurries here on Saturday, so these big flowers are just about all I have of Spring right now! (Not enough snow to stick, thankfully--just in case you wondered.) The May Flashy Florals kit will be available on Tuesday evening, May 17, at 10pm EST. Here is the inside of my card. I haven't used a sentiment inside yet, because I'm not sure what I want to use my card for; but I knew that I wanted to carry the same flower theme and colors to the inside my card. My card uses only ink, stamps, and cardstock available in the May Flashy Florals Kit. I added only one non-kit die to cut the oval window on my card front. I also used my Copic Airbrush System...

Hi Friends! My Favorite Things is releasing their May Card kit tomorrow night at 9:00 PM EST! This month's kit is all about flowers and it's beautiful! The Flashy Florals Card Kit features bold blooms and lush leaves that allow you to fashion dramatic bouquets and accents. My card is "out of the box" which means I used some colors and items that are not included in the kit. I think the only thing that I used that is not included is the Cement Gray color ink and Stone Gray card stock. I stamped the Scattered Surface background with Cement Gray ink onto Stone Gray card stock. I then cut it down to fit across my card and glued that down. The flowers and leaves are stamped, cut out with the dies, and adhered with foam tape. The sentiment, I cut out three, glued those together and adhered that to my card. I also added a few clear PPP sequins to finish it off. These are also not included in the kit. This amazing kit will be released on Tuesday May 17th at 10:00 PM EST at My Favorite Things! You can stop by the MFT blog to see some more previews of what all is included in this amazing new kit, and check out what all the other participating design team members have done! Thanks so much for stopping by! Kay :)

I've been seeing tons of excitement about this latest MFT Flashy Florals Card Kit! It's so gorgeous isn't it? I have one more card to share today using this new kit. It's a CAS, kinda bright, quick and easy card... I took the flower centers and picked 2 colors and made this fun background. I used Lime Light and Razzle Berry. I used the Inside and Out Stitched Rectangle to create a pop up in the middle of the patterned background and then simply added the hello sentiment in black. And done! So that is it for the May Card Kit. Head on over to the MFT blog for lots more fun things to see! Thanks so much for coming by today! Have a great day!
For some reason, this past week has been weirdly busy. It seems every time I try to sit down in my craft room, something comes up. Nothing big. And we're okay health-wise, but all those little things that have to be done right this minute keep cropping up, and then it's on to another 'thing.' Those 'things' are beginning to get on my last nerve, however. I just want to craft, visit your blogs, and make cards! *sigh* Life. It really isn't all about me, is it? So I apologize for my absence. I got up extra early this morning, so I could get a few 'things' done and then put everything else on the back burner so I could play a little. At first when I saw Anita's card over at Muse, I was sure that nothing would come to mind. I don't have a single cone flower stamp, and I wasn't sure if I had anything even close. So I shut the tab and moved on. But my brain was cooking, and unbeknownst to me, it planned a card all out by its own darn self. My brain waited until I was working on another card idea, then went, "PING." We argued. I didn't think this idea was anywhere close to Anita's card. Brain said that her card was meant to be a muse, as in inspiration, and if I didn't post this one, that would be the last idea it would share for the rest of the week. *sigh* I gave in. Obviously brain went with flowers and colors. And don't tell brain I said this, but in real life, it's kinda pretty.... My brain's card: The tag was a RAK from Amy T. The flowers are a sort of NBUS from MFT, and the sentiment is from AE. There's a bit of gold heat embossing, and a few sequins (which really do match the orange flower centers...), and that's about it. Popped up two flowers just for funsies. And I've got to get back to doing a few more things. DH needs to get out of the house, so I dreamed up a few errands for us. You all have a great day, and as always...
Just take a peek at this oh-so-pretty sketch that Leigh has designed for CTS #193! Lots of beautiful inspiration from the DT too, so be sure to take a look, get creative, and join in the fun! I was a little bit obsessed with trying out this persimmon/gray color combo that I'd seen somewhere in Pinterestland. So..... a bit of SSS for the bg, MFT flowers (I won't even guess at how many floral sets I have - never too many!) and a PTI sentiment die keep things clean and simple. We hope that you'll be inspired to play along at CAS(E) this Sketch #193 (where you also find a project from our amazing GD, Agnieszka!).
Hi, everyone, are you ready??!! MFT’s Flashy Florals Card Kit is now available for purchase in the MFT Boutique! You’ve seen some amazing samples over the last couple of days from the design team and that’s just the tip of the creative iceberg—so many things you can do with this kit. Be sure to check by the MFT Blog for more info and more samples, then go snag yours! I have a card for you to show you some more “out of the box” ideas for using your kit. This card started with a Kraft card stock base, then I stamped the triple leaf image randomly with Versmark and went back and stamped the veins with Jellybean Green ink. It was a little hard to see the Versamark part but I love how the veins look just a little off center so it’s all good :) Next I stamped up three copies of the same leaves, stamping the solid image with Jellybean Green and the veins with Steel Gray dye ink, tied them together with hemp cord, and popped them up on foam mounting tape on the card base. I cut “thanks” from Steel Gray card stock three times, adhered them together and to the card front, then stamped the rest of the sentiment, from Kind Thanks, on Smooth White card stock with Jellybean Green ink and popped it up on foam, as well. To finish off I added some enamel dots. And there you have it—Flashy Florals Card Kit is in the store just for you! Happy shopping and have fun! Thanks for stopping by—see you soon! .....is what I was going for with today's card, made to enter the Camp Create Day 2 challenge, and inspired by this photo I found on Pinterest: The challenge at the MFT blog is "Remarkable Resist", and since I am currently in love with all thinks wood plank, I knew I'd have fun making this one. supplies: white and Surf Blue cardstock, MFT Flashy Florals stamps and dies, and their Hello die, VersaMark and white embossing powder, hickory smoke, Berrylicious, silver, frayed leaf and forest glades inks, Impression Obsession Wooden Plank cling stamp, Simon's Stitched Rectangles dies, silvery sequins I white embossed my wood plank stamp on white cardstock, then sponged on hickory smoke distress ink. I used MFT's berrylicious ink for my flowers and to ombre my sentiment. I LOVE the effect that white embossing the plank design gives - it really looks like weathered wood!

It's celebration time at Inspired By All The Little Things! We have reached the 50th challenge this week and you'll see that each of the design team members has chosen a guest to join in the fun! My very good friend, Teresa Kline of Paperie Blooms, graciously agreed to be my guest and you do not want to miss her gorgeous card HERE! Here is my take on the inspiration photo... I was inspired by the twinkling lights in the photo background to use gold watercolor paint splatters on my one layer card background. The striped cake led to my choice of striped designer paper and the beautiful peach and green color palette inspired my peachy florals. STAMPS: Flashy Florals (My Favorite Things). PAPER: Recollections; Metallic gold CS; White (Neenah Solar White). INK: Sweet Nectar, Miami Spice, Flamingo, Beanstalk, Last Leaf, Mojito, Appletini, Falling Star - WPlus9 Pure Color Dye Inks. DIES: Flashy Florals Die-Namics (MFT); Big Hugs and Stitched Border die by Lil' Inker Designs. Be sure to stop by the Inspired By blog to see all the wonderful creations from the rest of the design team and from all the guests! I'm long overdue with offering any kind of blog candy. Since we're in celebration mode with this post, I wanted to offer a giveaway to one of my commenters on this post! I'll choose a winner by random.org and will post the results next Friday, April 7th by noon. Someone will be the benefactor of not one...not two...but FOUR times that I ordered duplicate items by mistake! Eeek! I've deduced that I need to slow down and review my orders more closely - lol! There is a real eclectic mix here...light gray Nuvo drops, 2 paper pads by Reverse Confetti, stamp set by Reverse Confetti, MFT "Cheers" Die-Namics, Brushed silver metallic CS by SU, pack of kraft/lace tags, 50 A2 envelopes. Good luck! Remember...you don't have any questions to answer...just comment on this post and you are in the running!
Fijne dag! Ing
