Hello stamping friends. Thank you for joining me on my blog today. I hope that you've had a fantastic week and are having fabulous day! Today I'm participating in a blog hop for the CASE-ing the Catty Design Team, to kick off the new challenge for the week. If you come here from Kathryn Mangelsdorf's blog welcome, if you've started here with me also welcome. We are about CASE-ing the samples from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue with a different theme to CASE each week. To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit. This week we are CASE-ing the amazing Mediterranean Blooms Suite that is found on Pg. 34 of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. I'm a big fan of this suite. To say I love it is an understatement. I was really inspired by this amazing sample from the Annual Catalogue that was designed by Stampin' Up! Concept Artist Cindy Schuster. I loved the cascading images down the card and then the little rectangle sentiment with the Hello. While the original sample from the Catalogue used the stamped orange images and was coloured with Stampin' Blends, I've fussy cut the Lemon images from the DSP as used them to cascade down my card. I've used the Mediterannean Blooms DSP and various colours of cardstock for the base layers of the card and then on the Basic White layer I've used die cuts from the Citrus Blooms Dies to create a faux Dry Embossing look. By using the same colour cardstock for your die cut pieces as you cardstock layer, when you adhere the die cuts on your cardstock it looks like it has been embossed with an embossing folder. I love this technique. I'n keeping with the similar design to the Catalogue sample I've added the Hello sentiment on a rectangele of Moonlight Mist cardstock and then added a cardstock scallop, Linen Thread and some pleated ribbon. I've finished the card off with some Opal Rounds. I hope that I've inspired you with my CASE of the Mediterranean Blooms Suite. I love this suite and I'm sure there will be more projects with it. There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the CASE-ing the Catty Crew so be sure to make your way around the whole hop to get inspiration from the CTC team. Next up on the hop is the fabulous Andrea Sargent with her amazing project. Rochelle Blok - You are here Andrea Sargent Julia Quinn Courtenay Heuston Rochelle Laird-Smith Peta Stephen Monique Fielder Rebecca Scurr Kathryn Mangelsdorf We would love to have you join us over at our Facebook group to share your creation CASE-ing a project from the 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up! This paper looks so realistic! Look at the these beauties! And I am back with more of the gorgeous Mediterranean Blooms designer paper. This piece has oranges on it. As I did the last post card, I cut out the oranges to attach to the front of the card. Also adding the same light yellow brushing behind the oranges. Another super easy card that delivers a big fat WOW!!

The Mediterranean Blooms Suite might be my absolute favorite in the new catalog - I LOVE it!! The artwork is beautiful, and the dies are over the top! Here's the Suite: The dies in this Bundle, called the Citrus Blooms Bundle, are fabulous. In the video I show you all the dies and highlight the special ones :-) This card is a CASE of one on page 34 of the 24-25 Annual Catalog. When I use a bundle for the first time I like to copy a card in the catalog, to become familiar with the bundle or suite. In

Mediterranean Blooms meets A Different Take Hello, Welcome to Valley Inspirations with Andrea and #479 Challenge with CASEing the Catty. I am so glad you have dropped by. You may have come from the amazing Rochelle Blok, as you take this week’s Blog Hop or perhaps you have come straight here. Either way, I am delighted you are here. At the end of my blog, I have linked to Julia Quinn so you can continue with the Blog Hop. At CASEing the Catty we love to use samples shown in the Stampin' Up! Catalogues as inspiration and each week we have a different theme to guide our CASEing. To CASE is to "Copy And Selectively Edit" or some say "Copy And Share Everything". This week we are CASE-ing projects shown in pages 34-35 that display the Mediterranean Blooms Suite from the 2024 - 2025 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. As I looked at these cards I was taken with the oval-ish frame shown in 3 of the cards. Focussing on the frame, I decided to create a card in this shape. I also loved the leaf detail but wondered about featuring it a different way than being part of the frame. The other inspiration taken from these cards was the blue backgrounds. Here is the result of my CASEing the Mediterranean Blooms Suite: After die cutting a folded piece of Thick Basic White card-stock with the open die for the frame, a second single layer of Basic White card-stock was cut to be used as the card front. This piece was blended with Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushel and Misty Moonlight Classic Stampin’ inks. The colours were applied with Blending Brushes, starting with Balmy Blue in the centre, then Blueberry Bushel and Misty Moonlight nearer the edges to create an ombre feel. I love the organic effect of splattering water over blended backgrounds so added some spatters. While I was blending I coloured some scrap pieces of Basic White card-stock with a mix of Pretty in Pink and Calypso Coral inks ensuring there were sections of light and dark. These pieces were also splattered with water. When dry many different sized tiny flowers were die cut. As you can see, I have still used parts of the Mediterranean Blooms Suite, but not the stamped images and no fruit. I cut 2 of the centre leaf detail die from Basic White card-stock and laid the pieces next to each other at an angle. A couple of other little leaf die cuts were added to finish off the background. Smaller stems of leaves were also die cut. Colour was applied with Blending Brushes and Soft Sea Foam and Lost Lagoon inks. A friend has recently lost the love of her life and I wanted a sentiment to let her know I was thinking of her and sending much love so I chose a sentiment from the Unbounded Love bundle. The sentiment was stamped in Misty Moonlight ink on Balmy Blue card-stock. One of the coordinating frame dies from the Unbounded Love dies was selected, but it was a little long so it was die cut twice to create a shorter label. As you can see, White Bakers Twine from the Essentials Bakers Twine Pack was wrapped around the card-front before the sentiment label was added with Dimensionals and flowers and coloured leaves were arranged. A little splattering of Blueberry Bushel was added with a Stampin’ Write Marker. Pearlised Enamel Effects Basics was added as flower centres and a few Transparent Adhesive-backed Dots were scattered near the sentiment. Another piece was die cut with the open frame die in Basic White card-stock and a thin slice was taken off the left side so that the card inner piece wouldn’t inhibit the card closing. A couple of remaining coloured stems of leaves and flowers were adhered to provide a little decoration to coordinate with the card front. As the card would be hand-delivered, a C6 Basic White envelope was decorated simply with the same pieces as the inside of the card. Thank you so much for spending time here with me. I so appreciate it. Don’t miss any of the inspiration from this talented Crew. The next blog in the hop is the lovely Julia Quinn. Just click on the "next" graphic below to be taken to her blog. It’s CATALOG PREMIER DAY and I am doing the happy dance! Do you have a favorite suite of products? Or pretty paper you can’t resist? My top pick will be no surprise: The Mediterranean B…
When I won the gorgeous new designer series paper, Mediterranean Blooms, at OnStage in Houston, I immediately thought of one of my favorite stamp sets, Sweet Citrus. So what did I make? The background paper is rather busy (but beautiful!) so I added a piece of Vellum cardstock over it to mute it a little. And check out the greeting: Did you know you can emboss in all our colors? I first inked up the stamp with Garden Green ink, and using my Misty stamp positioner, stamped the greeting twice. Then I cleaned my stamp, leaving everything in place, and re-inked it with Versamark. Once stamped I added Clear embossing powder and heated it with my heat tool, and voila! A beautiful, embossed greeting in Garden Green! And then there's those lemons - OMG, one of my favorite stamp/die combinations! Inked in Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight, the images were stamped, then cut AND embossed at the same time with the hybrid embossing folder. Genius! This card came together so nicely, using old and new. And I know this DSP is going to become one of my favorites! Heads up - Sweet Citrus is on the retiring list, so if this is a set you've been craving, don't delay. It will be gone before we know it! The layout is perfect for large images such as these beautiful lemons I cut out from the Mediterranean Blooms Designer Sereis Paper from Stampin’ Up. It includes 6 12x12 double sided papers and you get 2 of each, here is a small sample of each pattern. I love the blue mediterranean tiles patterns on one side and the bright lemon and oranges on the other. I also love that you can fussy cut out the fruit and use it in place of stamps like I did on my cards. I coordinated the paper with two blues, Night of Navy and Boho Blue. The circle die is from the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I love how they all have beautiful details along the edges. The greeting is from the Wonderful Thoughts Stamp Set and cut out with the coordinating Dies. Hi there stamping friends! Thanks for stopping here at my blog. Today I'm playing along with the sketch challenge over at the Global Design Project #446 | #GDP446 | Sketch Challenge. It's been a white since I've played along over at the GDP but was super keen to join their sketch challenge for this week. As soon as I saw the sketch over on Instagram I had a few ideas swirling around in my head. I had just recieved an order from Stampin' Up! a few days ago with the amazing Mediterannean Blooms Suite and knew that is what I wanted to use for my card today. I've predominantly used the Mediterranean Blooms DSP for this card. I'm so loving the blue and white DSP patterns and when you combine a couple of these patterns together they make for an amazing project. Doesn't the DSP look like those Mediterranean blue-and-white tile designs? I love it! On the other side of the blue and white DSP designs is are beautiful images of blossoming lemons and oranges. These citrus fruits make a beautiful contrast to the blue and white and are beautiful to fussy cut and use on their own, on the front of your card, like what I've done here. I've layered the lemon image on one of the Spotlight on Nature circles and a foliage die cut from the Citrus Blooms Dies. Due to the busy-ness of the amazing DSP I thought the card didn't need much else other than some Linen Thread, some Opal Rounds and the heat embossed Happy Birthday Sentiment that comes from the Friends for Life Stamp Set. Did I say I'm loving this DSP? I'm sure there will be more project using this stunning paper. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping! Live in Australia? Step into a world of vibrant colors and endless inspiration with Stampin' Up!'s Mediterranean Blooms Suite. I recently created a project using this stunning collection, and I'm excited to share it with you! Mediterranean Vibes Inspired by the beauty of Capri, I used the Mediterranean Blooms DSP to create a card that evokes memories of sun-soaked streets and painted blue tiles. Crafting Details Starting with a night of navy card base, I added a layered of DSP. Fussy-cutting lemons from another sheet added freshness to the design. Sentimental Touches Using the Citrus Blooms stamp set, I stamped a sentiment on night of navy cardstock, embossed it in white, and layered it with a complementary sentiment in basic white. Embrace the Suite The Mediterranean Blooms Suite offers endless possibilities for crafting, from cards to home décor. It's available now, so let your creativity soar! As a part of her Creative Team, I get a sneak peek at her templates and then get to design and share my cards with you. My card for today was created for the... Global Design Project Challenge #450. Global Design Project Challenges can now be found on Facebook and Instagram. For my "Thinking of You" card, I used Stampin' Up! Mediterranean Blooms DSP, Everyday Greetings Stamp Set (for the sentiment), Opal Rounds Assortment Embellishments and Natural Tones Linen Thread. Daffodil Delight was used for my card base with layers of Mediterranean Blooms DSP. The image was fussy cut from DSP and adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals. The two small flowers were also fussy cut and adhered with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The sentiment was stamped with Night of Navy ink and adhered with Mini Stampin' Dimensionals. Embellishments are Opal Rounds Assortment. For the bow, two colors from the Natural Tones Linen Thread were used and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot on the stem. Inside my card is DSP layered with Basic White. Another strip of coordinating DSP was adhered along the bottom with two additional flowers fussy cut and adhered in the lower left. DSP was adhered on the envelope flap and trimmed. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. ************************************************* I would love for you to SUBSCRIBE to my BLOG. If you're anything like me, you understand the pure joy that comes from creating something beautiful with your own hands. And let me tell you, the latest project I crafted using the Mediterranean Blooms suite by Stampin' Up! was an absolute dream! 🎨💖 Let's dive into the details of this delightful creation: 🌿Garden Green Card Base: Every masterpiece needs a solid foundation, and what better way to start than with a lush Garden Green card base? 🌸Citrus Blooms Detailed Die: This intricate die stole my heart the moment I laid eyes on it. After cutting it out, I grabbed my Stampin' Blends and added a burst of color to bring it to life. 🌼Mediterranean Blooms DSP: Behind the detailed die cut, I layered some of the stunning DSP from the Mediterranean Blooms collection. The combination of patterns and colors instantly elevated the design. 🌺Fussy-Cut DSP Accent: Waste not, want not! I repurposed a leftover fussy-cut piece of DSP from a previous project and adhered it to the front for an extra touch of charm. 🔥Heat Embossed Sentiment: Using Versamark ink and heat embossing powder, I stamped a sentiment onto Mossy Meadow cardstock. After cutting it out with a die from the Stylish Shapes collection, I carefully trimmed one side and secured it to the card. 🍑Peach Pie Resin Dots: For a finishing touch, I added some Peach Pie 2024-2026 InColor resin dots. These little gems added just the right amount of sparkle and dimension. And let's not forget about the card insert! I kept it simple yet elegant by adhering a piece of Basic White cardstock with some offcuts of DSP. 💌✨ The Mediterranean Blooms suite truly stands out from the crowd, and I can't wait to dive into more projects with it. Plus, I've got my eye on those gorgeous Opal Rounds Assortment featured in the new catalogue – talk about crafting heaven! 💎🌟 Are you ready to unleash your creativity with the Mediterranean Blooms suite? Trust me, you won't be disappointed! 🌸🎨 If you want to add it to your collection now, check it out below.
