When Making a CASE, all it takes is a glimpse through current or past Stampin' Up! catalogs or through my gallery to be inspired! I was intrigued by this layout found on page 4 of the Sale-A-Bration bromotion brochure (view it here). The neutral palette (navy, silver and gray) shows off the versatility of

3 Lovely Lily Pad cards are my projects for today's Stamping Sunday Blog Hop Sale a Bration 2020. Get the FREE tutorial for the cards.
Yay, the Artisan Design Team are hopping today with projects created using products from the upcoming Sale-A-Bration brochure. The Sale-A-Bration pre-earn period is finally here - from 3 December 2019 to 2 January 2020! This means that demonstrators can earn items in the Sale-A-Bration Shop offering early. For every $110 you spend, you choose a free item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure that matches the level you spent. Demonstrators can even use the pre-order of the January-June mini catalogue and purchase items from that catalogue or any other current catalogue, and earn free Sale-A-Bration products! If you aren’t a demonstrator yet, this is a great sneak peek to see what is in store for Sale-A-Bration beginning 3 January 2020! This is just one of the many fabulous perks of being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator. How cute is this Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set? And of course, it gets better! There are co-ordinating Lily Pad Dies! The lilies on both these cards have been embossed with White Emboss Powder, heat set and water coloured. The background on the right card has been created by using one of the die cuts from the set as a mask with Emboss Paste and then splattered with Champagne Mist. This stamp set has the added bonus of being a "Reversibles" so the outline image can be stamped first, turned over and stamped again to colour in the image. So versatile as it caters for those who love to colour in and those that don't! The background has been created by embossing "Celebrate" from the Happy Birthday to You Sale-A-Bration set and adding a water colour wash over it. I also used the Dark Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blend on the lines of the Lily to add a little more depth once I had stamped it. Stampin' Blends have been used to colour the Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon too so it co-ordinates with my cards. The Sequins are from the Peaceful Poppies Suite and before I adhered them with glue I used my Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker to create a little black dot. This made placement easy and I like the look of the sequins being filled in! This pre-order/pre-earn opportunity is an exclusive benefit for demonstrators to enable them to get products early so they are prepared when Sale-A-Bration starts on 3 January. Next up is my fabulous friend Ashley van Camp, her cards are gorgeous! Please keep hopping along and check out all the stunning projects created by the rest of the team - here's a little sneak peek to whet your appetite! If you live in New Zealand and would like to become a Demonstrator I would love you to join Stampin' Up! and become part of my Stamping Beauties team. Please email me at [email protected] and we can have a chat about this fabulous opportunity. If you would like to purchase any of these products please click on any of the images below or the Shop Now button on my blog. Hello and Happy Hump Day! I'm back with another Design Team card for The Paper Craft Crew Sketch Challenge #PCC368! Today's sketch was a fun chance to use the beautiful Sale-a-Bration Freebies.... Lovely Lily Pad Stamp Set, Lily Impressions Designer Series Paper, and the Lily Pad Dies! I absolutely adore this gorgeous Lily Impressions DSP! It has the most gorgeous images and colors! I used Pretty Peacock as my cardbase color and Flirty Flamingo to matt my layers of DSP. Both sides of the same sheet of paper were used in this card. Side A was used for the background panel and side B for the stitched square panel. The Lovely Lily Pad stamps were stamped with Versamark onto Thick Whisper White Cardstock and heat embossed in White. I used an ink blending tool to blend the Flirty Flamingo and Garden Green Ink onto the stamped images and used the coordinating dies to cut the images out. I added a little darker pink Stampin' Blend marker to some of the ink blended areas to add a little contrast. This card is so pretty and was really easy to create! Thanks so much for stopping by! Blessings, Tina
Hello and welcome to this week's CASEing the Catty Blog Hop. This week we are CASEing the new January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue. You are currently visting Angela Meiritz-Reid's blog, you may have come from my talented friend Peta or if you're just joining thanks for stopping by. Please make sure to click on the next button at the end of this post to continue on the hop - you won't want to miss any! The new January-June 2020 Mini Catalogue is absolutely full of gorgeous new products. I can hardly wait to start creating with them! I'm caseing the card at the bottom-middle on page 38 of the catalogue - I like the layout of this card. I started with the spotted piece of paper from the Best Dressed 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper Stack. There are lots of colours in this DSP - I picked Lovely Lipstick and Daffodil Delight. I adhered it to the card base along with a piece of Whisper White cardstock that has been embossed using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. The Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon has been coloured using the Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin' Blends, and I've added a bow in Whisper White Baker's Twine. Using the dies from the Lily Pad Dies I cut out the lilies in Lovely Lipstick and Daffodil Delight cardstock, I then coloured pieces of Watercolour Paper in both colours using ink and an Aqua Painter. I cut these down and adhered them to the back of the dies. The leaves were water-coloured in Mint Macaron and die cut. "Hello" is from the "To A Wild Rose" Stamp Set and has been gold embossed. I also added a few Rhinestones! We would love you to join us with your CASE this week or next, using our Facebook group. Click on the image below to go there. For the first time you'll need to click on the "Join Group" button at the top. After you're added you can post your creation and you don't need to have a blog. This year we are extending our challenges to two weeks. We will still hop weekly, showcasing different cards each week but you will have two weeks to participate. Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the hop! Next up is my talented friend Tina - just click on the Next Blog Button below. In the Stampin' Up! world, we are nearing the end of our three months of Sale-A-Bration - a great time of year, when we can earn free products with every $90+ order of Stampin' Up! goodies. Some of my favourite freebies this year are the Lovely Lily Pad stamp set (free with a $90 purchase), and Lily Pad dies (free with a $180 purchase). I used these items to make a card for my mother-in-law, who recently celebrated her 80th birthday. I have listed below the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card. The lily stamps and dies, and the metallic baker's twine, are all able to be earned for free, with qualifying orders. You can view the Sale-A-Bration brochure by clicking on the link in my blog's right-hand side bar. If you click on any of the thumbnail images below, you will be taken direct to my online store. In these uncertain times, of not knowing which shops are open, you can be assured of being able to shop from home for your Stampin' Up! supplies. After a long absence from blogging, I am going to share some more cards in the coming days. I do hope you'll come back to visit, to see what I've made. So excited for today being Wednesday!! It means I'll be going live tonight with a new card project and you're going to LOVE this one. Today's card is the one I featured last week. It
Happy Sunday! Well! With the temperature in Edmonton hitting a not-so-balmy MINUS 47 degrees with the wind chill today I figured it is a GREAT day to do a blog post and hibernate in my ugella FarrCraft Cave! GEEZ that's cold! In fact, I believe Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is destined to be the coldest place on Earth this week. Swell! Thinkin' Doodle Dog is gunna be missing a few walks! Today I'm sharing my absolute favourite card in for-EVER!! Seriously! In fourteen years of playing with paper this has GOT to be in my top 3 faves. I'll preface by saying I can't take credit for it - I CASEd it from Stampin' Up! Artisan Narella Farrugia over at https://narallafarrugia.com. She is my new favourite stamper to stalk! Check out this STUPENDOUS card she made! It. Is. STUNNING! I changed it EVER so slightly. Here is my CASEd version: LOVE IT!!!! The ONLY reason I changed it at all is because when I used the Cherry Cobbler blends, as she did, for the flowers I didn't get the bright intensity that is shown in her picture. I suspect her lighting played a factor there. To get the GORGEOUS deep red I used my Dark Poppy Parade blend and then did highlights with my Dark Cherry Cobbler. I used my Granny Apple Greens for the lily pads, Soft Sea Foam for the leaves and Pool Party for the water. Sparkle was a must, so out came the Wink of Stella. The other minor change to Narella's card is I used our Adhesive Backed Sequins - she used a red rhinestones, I believe. I could just stare at this card all day. Did I mention I love it?? lol. The set is "Lovely Lily Pad" and it is FREE with a $60 (CDN) order during our Sale-a-brations promotion that runs all month. You can also get the coordinating Lily Pad DIES with a $120 order (so to get both you need a $180 order). I realize a $180 is nothing to sneeze at so DO know that good old fashions SCISSORS can cut those bad boys out! Speaking of, scissors are what I used to cut out the "Thinking of You" sentiment that came from the Woven Heirlooms stamp set. If you would like to place an order to get these items, I would SO appreciate you ordering through my online store (if you are in Canada). You can do so here. If your order is under $200 and you use hostess code BEGD7QRN at the the checkout I'll mail you a little thank you gift! Here are the fine details and how-to's for the card: Whisper White Card Base: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" Poppy Parade Layer (popped up on dimesionals): 4 3/4" plus 2 ticks x 3 1/2" plus 2 ticks Whisper White top layer: 4 3/4" x 3 1/2" Start by stamping the following pieces: - Cut them out with scissors or dies. - Colour the Lily Pads with the light Granny Apple Green Blend and then colour the second largest ring of the Lily Pad with your dark Granny Apple Green Blend - Attach them to the card top layer using snail adhesive. - Colour the leaves with your light and dark Soft Sea Foam Blends - Colour the water at this point. Use your light Pool Party blends to just add some blue around the lily pads and then use the dark Pool Party Blend for a little deeper colour under each of the lily pads for a shadow effect. - Colour your flowers. My preferred technique is to colour the entire flower with the dark Poppy Parade Blends and then highlight the base of each petal with your dark Cherry Cobbler blend. I then take my Poppy Parade blend and go over the entire image again, to make sure there are no harsh lines between the two colours and that they blend nicely together for subtle shading. - Attach the medium flower with snail. Attach the two small flowers and large flower with dimensionals. Attach the leaves with snail. - stamp your sentiment in Black Memento Ink, fussy cut with scissors and pop up in dimensionals. - use Wink of Stella for some glitz on your flowers - add three sequins to finish it off. To mass produce this card I stamped 10 sets of each of the pieces I needed and cut them out. I then coloured them while watching a movie with my girls (GOTTA multitask! lol) and then just assembled. I wasn't originally sold on this bundle ... until this card. Now I say EVERYONE needs it - NEEDS it! lol. Yes, I'm rather passionate about this one. So that's it for today! I hope it's warmer where you are ... and that you have a super stampy day! Thanks for popping in. Tam
When I first got the Lovely Lily Pad stamps, I stamped out lots of flowers, and coloured them with Stampin' Blends (alcohol markers). All of the cards I'm sharing with you this week are the results of my colouring efforts back in November! It's good to use up "bits" that I have a tendency to set aside, and ultimately discard (wasteful, I know). How sweet does this tricolor ribbon look, with the different purple shades in the lilies? Here's a closer look at the subtly stamped lilies at the top of the card. I used Highland Heather ink, stamped off, to give a lighter impression: Listed below are all the Stampin' Up! products used to make this card. Hello and thanks for joining us for our monthly blog hop for Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for February. There are over 60 of us hopping this month so make sure you check out all the amazing talent from around the world. (and perhaps grab a drink before you sit down!) My card is one I saw on the demonstrators Facebook group by a US demo called Karen Barber. I loved her idea of turning the lily flower image into a succulent. It’s amazing the different effects you can get from one image just with a change of colours. For this card I used a couple of different stamp sets. The leaf image is from Positive Thoughts. The Lily flower is from Lovely Lily Pad and the sentiment is from So Sentimental. The leaf is stamped in Sahara Sand ink and the flowers are coloured with light mossy meadow and rich razzleberry blends. It was a relaxing card to make as I love to colour with the blends. I then added the wink of stella pen over the top for some extra shimmer. Make sure you click through the links to see all the other talented artists! My mother was the guru of making wonderful meals from left overs. I have never been able to emulate her with meals. I am much better with paper crafting. Today I thought I would make a wonderful card from 'leftovers' from yesterday's Lily birthday card here Th The Lily, lily pads and leaves were left over from yesterday's card I adhered them to a die cut Whisper White rectangle which was placed inside another die cut piece that has a rectangular frame embossed in it. Inside that was another embossed frame. All were embossed with the Sweetly Stitched Dies and the embossing mats. I coloured the white 3/8" Seam Binding with the Gorgeous Grape Stampin' Blend, and when it was dry, it was made into a bow and added to bottom edge of the lily. The punched sentiment is added emerging between the leaves of the flowers. The Gorgeous Grape card base is layered with Whisper White. The framed Highland Heather layer is added to the card front at an angle, as is the die cut art piece. Noble Peacock rhinestones finish the card. Supplies Used: Stamps: Lovely Lily, Teeny Tiny Wishes Inks: Versa Mark, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape Stampin' Blend (colour ribbon) Papers: Gorgeous Grape, Whisper White, Watercolour paper Accessories: 3/8" Whisper White crinkled seam binding (coloured), Noble Peacock rhinestones, Stitched So Sweetly dies, Embossing mats, Lovely Lily dies, Dimensionals, White embossing powder, Classic Label punch
