A beautiful antique large French platter from faiencerie Digoin Sarreguemines in the 'Agreste' pattern. The transferware is still lovely and vibrant although there are signs of wear as one would expect of a plate this old. Beautiful patina! 27 cm in diameter and 5 cm deep. Note that none of the antique pottery for sale in my store would be considered dish washer safe, I strongly recommend that all these items are hand washed. Stunning Antique Faiencerie de Sarreguemines et digoin Large Oval Soupiere. This soupiere is just beautiful and would be superb on any table. Dates from around 1910 from the 'Tsarine' collection. The transferware is still lovely and vibrant, although there are signs of wear as one would expect in a soupiere of this age. There is a small hairline and a tiny little chip on the rim of lid of the soupiere (please view photo 7). Sarreguemines et Digoin earthenware 'faience' is increasingly collected by those looking for tableware with history and character. Approx 38.5 cm in length including handles and 14.2 cm high without the lid and approx 23 cm high including the lid.
