One of the things that always truck me when travelling to London was how the trains (particularly those to Waterloo station) run along viaducts consisting of Victorian arches, high above ground level. I'm not a train builder, but it seemed to me that one of these would make a suitable backdrop for a LEGO London street.

The real station was in North West London and was opened by the Metropolitan Railway in 1868. The surface building was rebuilt to a design by Charles Walter Clark in the 1920s. Unfortunately it was closed in 1939 and the building was demolished in 1969.
