How fun is this card??!! I love how bright it is and it's so easy to make! Also, no stamp set required!! I have made layered circles cards before, some in black and white and some in colour (https://inkstability.blogspot.com/2020/09/september-2020-monthly-team-blog-hop.html) but I thought the Rainbow Glimmer Paper would make them pop just a bit more! What do you think? Does it pop? Card Measurements Card base: 29.7cm x 10.5cm Inner layer: 14.5cm x 10cm Rainbow Glimmer Paper and extra Basic Black cardstock Instructions Using the Playful Alphabet dies, cut out the letters you require from the Rainbow Glimmer Paper Using the plain Layering Circles dies only, beginning with the largest size, cut out every second die from Rainbow Glimmer Paper (largest second smallest) Using the plain Layering Circles dies only, beginning with the smallest size, cut out every second die from Basic Black cardstock (smallest to second largest) Cut all the circles in half (before sticking them together) Alternating Rainbow Glimmer Paper and Basic Black cardstock semi circles, make two piles beginning with largest semi circle (Rainbow Glimmer Paper) and finishing with smallest semi circle (Basic Black cardstock) With the bottom straight edge lined up and each semi circle beginning in the same position (all to one side) glue the first pile together (making sure to alternate Rainbow Glimmer Paper and Basic Black cardstock) Repeat previous step with the second pile Cut scrap of Basic Black cardstock (mine was 3cm x 13.5cm) Adhere letters to form sentiment Place the two semi circles in position that suits you and adhere to card base with dimensionals Adhere inner layer and use scrap of Rainbow Glimmer Paper to decorate Tip: I chose to take the smallest Basic Black cardstock semi circles off so more colour showed once sentiment was attached (best decided prior to gluing) 😉 Thanks for taking the time to visit. Hi Crafters! Today I am hopping with the Ink & Inspiration Crew with a Technique themed hop. I thought I'd show you the notebooks & name tags I made for the girls who attended my recent Stamp Camp. I asked them all what they're favourite colours were & custom made them. I used the Layering Alphabet dies to cut all the letters & I've used both positive & negative die cuts. All names have been matted on Basic Black cardstock. Koren likes red, pink & purple, so I've used Poppy Parade Textured Weave Ribbon, with Gorgeous Grape & Flirty Flamingo cardstock. Sandra likes light green & purple, so I've used Gorgeous Grape Mini Stripe Ribbon with Gorgeous Grape & Soft Sea Foam cardstock. Thea likes green, so I've used Call Me Clover Grosgrain Ribbon with Call Me Clover & Shaded Spruce cardstock. Sarah likes blue, so I've used Blueberry Bushell Grosgrain Ribbon with Blueberry Bushell & Balmy Blue cardstock. Jenny likes turquoise & purple, so I've used Coastal Cabana Ribbon (Tea Room Combo Pack) with Coastal Cabana & Gorgeous Grape cardstock. Bronny likes mauve & purple, so I've used Gorgeous Grape Mini Striped Ribbon with Gorgeous Grape & Highland Heather cardstock. In order to make my names, I've cut the cardstock to 7.5cm squares & then lined up the top of the letter die with the top of the cardstock & centered in horizontally. I found the letters were all straight as long as the top of the die & the top of the cardstock were lined up. When using the negatives, I found I had to add a bit more cardstock underneath for the wider letters like 'h' & 'n'. I also needed a spare square to either start off the pattern or end it. For the positives, you start with the spare square at the end & place your letters, working backwards, ending with the first letter of the name. For the negatives, you start with the spare square & then place your letters going forwards, ending with the last letter of the name. I've used Adhesive Sheets to stick the names onto the Notebooks. I've also used the Glitter Enamel Dots & the retired gold bulldog clips, but you could use the Gold Library Clips. You are currently visiting Jessie Holton in Australia. Hi Crafters! How are you today? Here are some more samples from my recent Stamp Camp. These use the Layering Alphabet Dies & the InColor Designer Series Paper (DSP) & coordinating cardstock & ribbon. These make for some really fun cards! And the dies are actually much easier to use than I thought they would be. I have used 7.5cm square pieces of cardstock & lined up the top & right hand side of the paper with the dies to cut my pieces, so no wastage cutting them down to size. This size worked well as I was able to cut four letters from each piece of DSP, but I don't think you could cut it any smaller than this. Here's a few of the products shown in this card. It's that time again, the Video Blog Hop team is back to share Masculine creations and inspiration with you this month. I'm going to say,..... Masculine is my nemesis, flowers and bling are more my thing (oh that rhymes, I'm a poet, haha). I don't know how many times I sat down to create for this and drew a bit fat 100% blank, and then when I did have an idea I couldn't figure out how to incorporate my personal DSP challenge, needless to say this card was a long time in the "creative making" and my sanity was wearing thin. I don't know how, but suddenly Dude! popped in my head, maybe I was talking to our Husky, Dave - he is a dude (totally has a mind of his own, and does things according to the way of Dave, never a dull moment). My Lined Alphabet Bundle was still sitting on my desk unopened, now I had the perfect reason! I used a "B - side" of the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper to fulfil my DSP challenge, and my favourite technique - masking to add the sentiment from Around the Corner, here's a video tutorial of how I completed all the elements for the card. Be sure to visit all the team and see their wonderful creations and tips they have to share, you are currently visiting Sue Vine - Miss Pinks Craft Spot, to keep hopping around see the list below to see who is up next. Thanks for visiting today, I hope you enjoyed viewing my project. Stay tuned for more projects using Designer Series paper this month. Stampin' Up! Layering Hugs, Flowers of Friendship, Colors and Contours Bundle, Alzheimers Awareness, Rubbing Alcohol with Ink Background Technique
I LOVE the new Layering Alphabet Edgelits! Endless combinations of letters and colors, and there are several ways to use them. Take a look at some of the first cards I made with them: A rainbow of thanks! So bright and cheery! The negatives of the letters. Also cute! Just the die cut letters. Oh, the possibilities! Stamped letters. So quick and easy! More stamped letters, colored with Stampin' Write Markers. I need to try one with Stampin' Blends, too! Lined Alphabet Photopolymer Stamp Set $34.00 Layering Alphabet Edgelits Dies $125.00 Lined Alphabet Photopolymer Bundle $143.00 Many Marvelous Markers $123.00 Generated by SUDSOL, Free Trial at www.sudsol.org Colors: Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Pacific Point, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White The dies are an investment, but I think I'm going to use mine a lot!
Hi everyone and welcome to day 1 of the April reveals at Newton's Nook Designs. All week we'll be showing you new product that will be in the shop this coming Friday, April 20th. Today we're showing off a new stamp/die set called "Newton's Graduation" along with this GREAT die set called "Essential Alphabet"! Somebody's going to win Newton’s Graduation, so keep scrolling to find out how! Now onto my cards! For my first card, I stamped out my image and copic colored Newton. I had practiced cutting out this amazing new Essential Alphabet die on some black cardstock and it sort of just struck me that the negative might make a fun background, like a chalkboard. I took a strip of patterned paper from my stash that had the bookshelves and glued it under. I then popped Newton and the sentiment up. Btw, that sentiment reminds me of Pinky and the Brain..anyone remember that cartoon with the mice that were going to take over the world??? For my second card I used the other main Newton image..I love that globe! I used an embossing folder on the background, cut 2 of the banners out from the NND Frames and Flas die set and stamped the congratulations on the top banner and die cut the 2018 from the Essential Alphabet dies and glued on the bottom white banner. I then perched Newton on the banners to finish the card! Would you like to win the “Newton’s Graduation” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner! Here's how to win: Comment on the NND blog and Design Team blogs (see list below)! The winner will be chosen at random from the collective reveal posts. Make sure to check out each of their blogs and comment for your chance to win. You will not know which blog has been chosen so the more you comment on the better your chances are of winning! You have until Thursday April 19th at 9pm EST to comment -- winners will be announced on the blog post on Friday, April 20th.
