Artists from all over the world will gather at NUM3ER in London on May 16 through May 17 to create large-scale works before the public. In addition, the event includes film screenings and artist talks.

Sculptor Frank Plant (previously) creates large-scale sculptural drawings of grouped bodies made from flocked steel. One of his most recent pieces, Grow, presents two groups of students engaged in casual conversation. The green-flocked individuals sit together on the ground with accessories such as backpacks and lunch boxes resting casually at their side. And, well, the rest of us are just copycats, or, in social media terms, followers. However, while the world is copying everything they do, there's something that is entirely theirs and is often hidden under their garments. And that is celebrity tattoos.
A 96 page exhibition catalogue with two essays, exhibition checklist, and numerous 4-color images, produced in conjunction with the UNM Art Museum's 2014 exhibition Melanie Yazzie: Geographies of Memory, curated by Lisa Tamiris Becker, Director, UNM Art Museum. Highlighting the art of printmaker and sculptor Melanie Yazzie, whose compelling works of layered images draw upon her rich Navajo/Din? heritage, Melanie Yazzie: Geographies of Memory includes examples of the artist's monotypes, woodblock prints, lithographs and etchings. A special body of Yazzie's recent paper-pulp prints with photolithographic elements, as well as selections of her large-scale steel sculptures and smaller works in bronze, are featured in the exhibition and catalogue along with a body of her recent gouache drawings. Yazzie's works enigmatically weave together geographic, cultural, and autobiographical images and referents, transporting the viewer into spaces and places of memory and imagination.
