The last night of club can be bittersweet. You feel proud of all that the clubber have accomplished. You may feel a sense of releif that you actully made it through the year! You want to go outwith a bang but you are tired, the leaders are tired and you don't know if you have the energy for one more theme night. This theme is bound to make your last night a memirable one! FINISH LINE NIGHT! For decoration: Run a long peice of black butcherpaper down the center ofthe hall. With White chalk draw a lane line down the center. At the end of the hall (especially it ends at a door that is not used) you can put up a finish line marker. Line the edge of the paper with balloon clusters for extra festivities! Checkered flags can be added in fun places. This picture is a perfect example of hallway decorations for Finish Night. It is from http://meandmyinsanity.com/2010/01/life-is-highway-cars-party-post.html She planned a Cars themed party. Her party pics can give you some great ideas dor decorating too. This is a great decorating theme if your club does Grand Prix night too! For Games and Theme Participation: Have the kids decorate and bring their bikes and scooters. Almost every kid has at least one of these. If you know of a kid who doesn't ask some families to bring extras so every kid has something to ride. Mark off a riding track in your parking lot or gym. For the olders clubbers use cones and make an obsicale course they need to ride through. By doing this during game time you can free up some leaders to be extra listeners for those kids trying to finish their books. You can award prizes for the best decorated, most colorful, best use of streamers. Many things. You can also have races and give game prizes for that too. For Counsel time: Talk about Hebrews 12: 1-2. We are in a race in this life. Our finish line is heaven. We need to run this race with our eyes fixed on Jesus. We will experience some breakdowns that may have us sitting on the side of the road. We will have the option to detour or leave the the road for another one. But if we keep our eyes on Jesus we can finish the race well. Finish Line night is a great way to end the year with fun and excitment that will have kids looking forward to coming back in the fall.
