This week's Collaboration Cuties Mentor Text Link Up is all about Language Arts. I selected two books by Keiko Kasza, My Lucky Day and The Wolf's Chicken Stew to share. Both books are very funny and both have surprise endings. In My Lucky Day a piglet "accidentally" ends up at Mr. Fox's door. Fox thinks he is about to have a delicious dinner, but piglet has other plans. In The Wolf's Chicken Stew, Wolf's plans to fatten Mrs. Chicken up for his stew are ruined by some unknown and unlikely new friends. There are M A N Y activities you can do with these books. Character work, summaries, predictions, inferences, and on and on. My school sweeties love these books and so does my daughter. My husband does a great piglet voice. If you would like a little FREE activity to use with your students for these books just click on the picture below. The clip art is from Scrappin Doodles and KPM Doodles. If you do not have these texts, you really should check them out. They would be a fabulous addition to your class library. The Wolf's Chicken Stew story book is about a hungry wolf's attempt to fatten a chicken for his stew pot, but has unexpected results. This funny story was written by Keiko Kasza and illustrated by Martha Rago. This is a Heath Literacy featured book. This copy use to be a school book at Thacker Avenue Elementary 301 Thacker Ave, Kissimmee, FLA. Which it is stamped on the cover pages. The previous owners initials are on the inside cover page. This book is in good vintage condition, pages are clean and spine still securely stapled.

"Follow The Light" This is a limited edition print of an original painting. The original painting was done in watercolor and mixed media. All the prints here are reproduced in house from Lee’s original artwork. They are printed on beautiful, textured 100% cotton rag paper. We use Epson UltraChrome inks, which are long-lasting and vibrant. All the prints are signed and numbered. The actual print image is 11 inches wide x 14 inches high. It fits a standard 16x20 mat and frame. There is a border around the image. The print is enclosed in a plastic sleeve with a backer board. It is shipped flat in a sturdy cardboard envelope mailer.
