Ingredients: Anigozanthos Flavidus Flower Extract Kangaroo paw is a plant that got its common name because of the shape of its flowers. (This is not animal derived) This plant grows around the South-West corner of Western Australia. Kangaroo Paw Extract can be used in a wide range of cosmetic products including hair care. It is a natural source of Ferulic acid, a powerful antioxidant for anti-aging and environmental protection. It also contains natural sugars and fibres, which can help trap moisture on the skin and hair for long-lasting hydration and skin conditioning. Growing tips, disease prevention and the use of Kangaroo Paws (Anigozanthos) in Garden Design
The yellow kangaroo paw can be kept as a container plant in a temperate climate, because the plant can’t withstand frost. Because the plant does not grow large by nature (about 1m high), a container/pot is well suited for a patio or balcony. The kangaroo paw produces a rhizome (rootstock) which enables the plant to survive after a forest fire: through the rhizome, the plant can grow again. The flowers are pollinated in Australia by birds with longs beaks who can drink the nectar out of the flowers. Up to 350 flowers can be formed per plant. An extraordinary amount if you ask me. Sowing description: Sow seeds in a mix of sowing mix and sand (50-50). Slightly cover them and keep soil constantly moist. Germination occurs on a warm and sunny spot.
