Join the artists, their friends, and families for a reception at the Henry to celebrate the opening of Sanctum and the 2013 UW School of Art Master of Fine Arts and Master of Design exhibition. Sanctum, an interactive art installation, on the facade of the Henry was commissioned by the museum and created by UW DXARTS professors James Coup and Juan Pampin. It opened to the public on May 4. Throughout their program, MFA + MDes candidates have been working with advisers and other artists to develop advanced techniques, expand concepts, discuss critical issues, and emerge with a vision and direction for their own work. Pieces in the exhibition are selected with curatorial assistance by Jim Rittimann, Henry Art Gallery head preparator and exhibition designer.
