I enjoyed my visit to Perdenales Falls. The falls were beautiful and the area much larger than I imagined. Pedernales Falls State Park is located 10 miles (16 km) east of Johnson City. The park is on the Pedernales River, 14 miles southwest of the river's mouth at Lake Travis. It wasn't very busy when we arrived at the park and there were several available parking spaces. Once you park, you will walk down a path to an overlook where you can see the falls. THE BASICS Address: 2585 Park Road 6026 , Johnson City, TX 78636 Longitude: -98.243377 Directions: The park may be reached by traveling 9 miles east of Johnson City on FM 2766 or by traveling west of Austin for 32 miles on U.S. Highway 290, and then north on FM 3232 for 6 miles. Latitude: 30.299393 Longitude: -98.243377 Reservations: (512) 389-8900 or online http://texas.reserveworld.com Entrance Fees: $6 Adults and Child 12 and under: Free Hours: Open Daily THINGS TO KNOW Pedernales Falls State Park has 69 sites with water and electricity and 21 backpacking campsites in a primitive camping area about 2.5 miles from the trail head. Some of the amenities at Pedernales Falls include: clean restrooms and showers; dump stations; ice for sale at the campsite entrance; a park store; interpretative trail; horse corral; bird blind, and a scenic overlook. There is also over 21 miles of hiking trails; a quarter mile nature trail; 20 miles of bike trails; a 10 mile equestrian trail; a beach with river swimming; and fishing along the banks of the river. WHAT I WOULD DO DIFFERENTLY Carry water with you. It is a long hike down to the falls and you will get thirsty Make sure you have good walking/climbing shoes. I wore flip flops and one fo the shoes broke which left me with only one shoe to climb boulders and hike back.

The color used is navy, however this can be changed to match any team or nursery color you need...simply add your color change request in the "personalize" section, and a proof will be sent for your approval.
