I created a fancy champagne flute using a few stamps put together in way that was never intended by I think it works. Today it's the first Saturday of the month so it is time for the Project Share blog hop. This is the hop with my good friends Jill, Heather & Verity, we are all Stampin' Up! demonstrators in the same team and we share each others projects on our blogs every Thursday and once a month we do a blog hop. I have made some cards using the new Soft Pastels, I have never used pastels before so had a lot of fun trying them out. Measurements and Materials Card base 5 1/2" x 8 1/4" Score @ 8 1/8" on the long side Use the Stitched with Whimsy dies to make the border on the card base Basic White mate die cut from the Stitched Rectangle This fitted inside the Stitched with Whimsy border It was embossed with the Painted Texture 3D embossing folder The embossed rectangle was wiped over with Versamark I then used the Soft Pastels and dragged them over so the colour stuck to the Versamark I die cut some flowers and leaves using the Pierced Bloom dies I heat embossed in white the sentiment using In Bloom stamp set Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-) Video Tutorial Click below to see the video tutorial :-) Time for the closeups! This month our theme was 'Throwback Thursday' so I recreated a project I did in Junk last year. I found these emery boards that had peaches on them and remembered the You're A Peach DSP and thought I know I can make those cute holders again. Well these emery boards are actually a bit bigger so I had to change my measurements a bit. I think they turned out so cute. I was not a fan of this DSP but I do love how these holders look with the matching emery board. Share. blog hop and our theme was 'Pick A Suite' so I picked the Artfully Composed Suite, I didn't realise I had the entire suite! I took inspiration from the catalogue for this card, I combined several of the ideas you can see on pages 32 & 34 of the new Stampin' Up! January to June Mine Catalogue. I thought the DSP was quite busy so adding a vellum layer really breaks it up nicely and allows a focal point of the die cuts. It is the 1st of July so that means I am hoping with the Stamp Around UK video hop. This month our theme is texture so i have added lots of texture to my projects. There is stitching, embossing and heat embossing. This is my first time using the Stitched With Whimsy dies, I love them, I really love how they nest with the Stitched Rectangle dies as well. Measurements and Materials Card base Thick Basic White 5 1/2" x 8 1/4" Score @ 4 1/8" on the long side Frames die cut from Fresh Freesia using the Stitched Rectangle dies They were then embossed with the Painted Texture embossing folder The Basic White panel was cut with the Stitched Rectangle die and them the Stitched With Whimsy dies were used to add stitches The image was stamped using the Stamparatus so that I could stamp over it in Versamark so it could be each embossed with clear embossing powder The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with white embossing powder Now watch the video tutorial to see how this was made :-) Video Tutorial Click below to see the video tutorial :-) Time for the closeups!
