Taller than trees and towering over buildings, Johanna Goodman‘s pieced together female forms appear to stretch far above the landscapes before them. The collaged works, which combine elements of art, design, and architecture, are a part of Goodman’s series titled The Catalogue of Imaginary Beings, which aims to explore the individual’s role in history andContinue reading "Elongated Female Figures Composed From Elements of Natural and Urban Scenery by Johanna Goodman"

Knitting Pattern for a sweater with an eye-catching pattern consisting of classic stripes, cables and crochet waves in sizes XS | S | M (L | XL | 2XL) 3XL | 4XL | 5XL. Structure: The sweater is worked in four parts back and forth in rows in a striped pattern and a cable pattern with crochet waves: first, the back part is worked. You starr with the hem in CC 3. Then, the back panel is worked by in reverse stockinette stitch by alternating CC 1 and CC 2. Afterwards, the front part is worked in the same alternating striped pattern and with a cable pattern creating a “wave-look”. Additionally, there are decreases to shape the shoulders and the round neck. The sleeves are worked similar to the front part – but with some increases after working the cuffs. Last but not least, the highlight of the design is added: vertical lines are crocheted onto the cable pattern creating a wave pattern over the front and both sleeves. The fit of the sweater is close to the actual bust circumference with a little positive ease. If you are in between two sizes, choose the larger size. The length is relatively short and the sleeves are long without much shaping.
Knitting Pattern in English for a Summery Raglan Tee with a Checked Lace Pattern, a Round Neck and Short Sleeves in Sizes XS/S | M/L (L/XL | XL/2XL) Structure: The shirt is worked top down with raglan increases and a checked lace pattern. To shape the round neck, you work for a few centimeters back and forth in rows before you are going to close the round neck and work the yoke in rounds. After separating the sleeves from the body, the body is finished in lace pattern in rounds. A hem in 1x1 twisted ribbing is attached to the body. Afterwards, the resting sleeve stitches are picked up again and new stitches are picked up directly out of the body before the sleeves are finished in rounds in lace pattern. Shortly before the cuffs there are worked in a few decreases for a slight sleeve shaping. The cuff is worked in 1x1 twisted ribbed pattern. Now stitches are picked up again around the neckline and a collar in 1x1 twisted ribbing is attached to the round neck. The fit of the tee is close to the body and has no or a little positive ease of up to 10 cm. A negative ease of up to 5 cm is possible too. If you are in between two sizes, I recommend to choose the smaller size. The highlight of the tee is the lace pattern reminding of a checked pattern creating an airy and breezy garment perfect for cooler summer days and warmer spring days Level of Difficulty: medium to advanced Materials: 400 | 400 (500 |500) g “The Cotton“ by We Are Knitters (212 m/100 g) 4.5 mm circular knitting needles and 3.5 mm DPNs (additionally 4.5 mm short needles for the sleeves if preferred) Darning needle Stitch markers or leftovers Knitting Tension: 10x10 cm = 17 sts x 23 rs in pattern on 4.5 mm knitting needles (wet blocked) Measurements: Bust Circumference Finished Tee: 92 | 105 (116 | 129) cm with a positive ease of 0 to 10 cm or anegative ease of 0 to 5 cm. Måste bara dela med mig av min kompis Hannas ljuvliga höstgryta vi fick i helgen, den var himmelsk! Vem säger nej till en mustig gryta, åh vad det är gott den här årstiden. För vegetarisk kan man göra halloumi men koka inte halloumin utan stek den först och lägg i i slutet. Och ju längre […]
