Hello and welcome to Kylie Bertucci's International Winners Blog Hop! Today I'm joining Kylie Bertucci and a group of very talented demonstrators for a blog hop around the world. I'm so excited to be participating in the Top Ten International Highlights Winners Blog Hop! I earned this honor with my card, Message in a Bottle you can see here. Thank you so much for voting for my card. The card I'm sharing with you today features the Inked Botanical Designer Series Paper. This card doesn't open like a regular card does. It has a flap on the front that opens up. Let me show you some pictures that will explain what I'm talking about. As you can see in the picture below, that middle section is a piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock 11" x 2 1/2" folded in half. The card base is also Lost Lagoon 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". The 2 front side designer series pieces are 1" x 5 1/4". The large front designer series piece is 2" x 5 1/4" and the 2 small strips on each side are 3/4" x 5 1/4". The Very Vanilla piece on the inside is 5 1/4" x 2 2 1/4". I stamped a flower from the Inked and Tiled stamp set in Lost Lagoon and Crushed Curry. The flower on the sentiment on the front is also from that set and is stamped in Crushed Curry. As you can see, this is a simple card to make, and I hope you will give it a try. I've provided links below to all the products I used. Click on the box below to download a free tutorial. I have also included a short video showing the construction of this card. Today's card is another in my series of typewriter cards featuring the beautiful Inked Botanicals Designer Series Paper. I love the combination of Lost Lagoon, Pool Party and Crushed Curry ... and decorating my cards with the cute stamps from the Just My Type stamp set. ☺ I have stamped directly onto both patterned papers. On the plaid paper, I stamped "Hello" in Lost Lagoon ink, then added rows of flowers in Pool Party ink. I sponged around the edges of this paper with Pool Party ink. The typewriter was stamped in Lost Lagoon ink, the paper in Pool Party ink, and the flower on the typewriter paper was stamped in Crushed Curry ink. I used Glossy Dots to adorn some of the flower centres. On the dotty paper, I stamped flowers in Crushed Curry ink. Crushed Curry ink was also sponged around the edges of this piece of paper. The sentiment, from Ringed With Nature, was stamped in Crushed Curry ink on Basic White card, and cut out using a Nested Essentials Die. I laid Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon across the join of the two patterned papers, and secured it behind the Lost Lagoon card mat layer, using Stampin' Seal+. After fussy cutting the typewriter, and raising it up on Foam Adhesive Sheet, I added a bow made from the same Lost Lagoon ribbon. Listed below are all the products I used to make my card. Su Jin Park is a botanical artist who stays and works in South Korea. She studied fine art and design at university and had worked as a colourist and fashion designer in apparel companies. When she moved abroad, she got to know about Botanical Art through Billy Showell and Ann Swan, and she started painting again and has been working on it until now. She sees that there are many patterns in plants, and that they are not uniformly standardized. She is interested in the different shapes, delicate movements, and colours of each plant. Also, she believes that all plants are beautiful, whether it’s a small bud or at the end of its life. She draws pictures with a focus on the various aspects and… Read more

Happy Wednesday, all! Time for a new Atlantic Hearts Sketch challenge and here it is: I needed a special thank you card for one of my stampers who is always so generous and kind! I am trying to use up some of the beautiful designer papers that will be retiring soon, so I pulled out some Inked Botanicals along with the Color and Contour stamps and dies and went to work: I am using some colors from the Color Dare challenge choosing yellow and light teal as my colors: The florals are stamped in Lost Lagoon, and I stamped off the "filler" part of the flower, then added some Lemon Lolly speckles as well as some yellow mat dots for fun. I used some retired yellow and white baker's twine to added a little more interest: My sentiment was also stamped in Lost Lagoon, and I layered different patterns of DSP on a base of Lost Lagoon that was embossed with the Cane Weave embossing folder. I did sponge some white ink on the embossing for a lighter look: I like this fresh color combo! And I love the sketch too! I hope you'll play along with us...there are endless variations to it, and it may be a great way to use up some of those little scraps we all have! Be sure to share your creation with us at Atlantic Hearts! His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence. 2 Peter 1:3 Project Details—All Products SU! Yesterday I shared about the redesign of the Stampin’ Write Markers. The Stampin’ Write Markers brings simple stamping to life. I even took the ... Read More about More Simple Stamping
I'm here today to bring you my card for the NEW challenge we have over at Just Add Ink Challenges - Just Add Ink #673 - Just Choose Two Challenge. Today for our Just Choose Two challenge (to choose two items to feature on your project) we are choosing from Doors, Windows and Flowers. Flowers was a given for me as I love creating with just about anything floral but my other item to feature was a bit harder to choose. I went with Window but not using an acual image of a window but making a window in my card by making a Split Window Card. I've used a Calypso Coral card base and then for the flower element I've used the Stampin' Up! Garden Wallk DSP. This is stunning DSP and there is something in it for everyone. The flowers around the side of the window have also been fussy cut from the Garden Walk DSP. I've finished off the card with the Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon (which I cut in half), some Linen Thread and some Blooming Pearls. There are lots of AMAZING creations from the rest of the Just Add Ink Design Team on the JAI Blog. Go and check out to see what 'two' elements they all used this week and then while you are there you can see how you can enter your project. Can't wait to see what 'two' you used. Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Stamping! Live in Australia? Shop for Stampin' Up! with Me 24/7 HERE Recreate this project at home using the following Stampin' Up! products.
