This is part of the second set of twinchies (2''x2'') I sent to my partner. I've sent a message asking her whether she already got them, but unfortunately she's suspended and hasn't answered me. =( I hope they arrived and she liked, but I'm not sure. =(

I was so honored to share my story in Kathy and Barb's blog: Craft for Health. Their motto is: "crafting is the secret weapon in helping people", it is so true! I never thought what a great role scrapbooking and crafting played in my life, other than a job. It was only when Kathy asked me to write about it, I realized the healing power it had in my life and how much it helped me. I know now that everything happens for a reason and this is the path I was supposed to walk in. share my story in Craft for health

I love Michele's theme over at Tag Tuesday, she has chosen School Days. It takes me back to when I was at school. I was a child who did enjoy going to school, although I wasn't a very quick learner and very often was told off for "not paying attention" By the time I reached the age of 12yrs, I settled down and actually started to learn. Learning, back in the day, was so different than it is today, also the schools are more modern now. Teachers taught a variety of subjects and some things I still apply to my daily living now. From the age of four and a half, my first day at school, my mother left me in reception, there was a smaller girl than myself who was crying so much, I went over to her and asked why she was crying, she said her mum has just left her here. I replied, so has my mum, but we can be friends and stay together. We are still very good friends almost 70 years later ( and yes, I am that old ) For my tag I stamped a grungy background and used images from a paper pad, at least I think they are, they've been in my craft room for a couple of years now. They were loose and given to me with other bits and bobs by a friend who has given up crafting. I used the school label, then cut the boys out and laid them over the labels. You can find the challenge here at TAG TUESDAY

2016 Topic 20 Square and Grids Hi there everyone. Tracy here today with a post for this months theme of 'squares' and 'grids' on the PaperArtsy Blog. Instantly my mind went to those fabulous miniature works of art that are 'twinchies' and 'Inchies'. I loves me a miniature work of art and the twinchies (2x2" square) are definitely a favourite of mine. Step 1: Choose a selection of paint colours. I chose Mermaid, Caribbean Sea, BoraBora and South Pacific, using a small brayer I mixed the colours all together on a sheet of glossy card. Step 2: Whilst the paint is still wet and using the end of a paintbrush I scratched some swirl designs into the paint. Step 3: I used an embossing ink pad and stamped various images from my Gothic Blooms ETS03 stamp set... Eclectica³ Tracy Scott 03: ETS03 ...and added gold embossing powder before heat setting into place. Step 4: next I added stamping from ETS03 in Jet Black archival ink and added paint splatters using Little Black Dress, Snowflake, London Bus and Gold paints. Step 5: Cut your master board into 2x2 inch squares ready for decorating Step 6: Using a piece of Smoothy cardstock, I brayered the whole page in gold and then stamped images from ETS03 stamp set. Step 7: Using the various images I stamps in gold and found book text I then decorated each of my 2x2" squares adding black and white pen work to finish off. I decided for this project to use my new stamp set ETS03 to highlight some of the things you can do with it, these little magical works of art are just amazing for trying out new techniques or stamps that you might otherwise be intimidated to give a go. I had an absolute blast creating these little gems and would just love to see what you can do too !!!! You can check out more of my work at.... So many elements on such a small surface, and they look gorgeous! I can imagine them arranged into a teeny tiny book too. I'm having real fun creating Twinchies at the moment these are such fun to make. For this trio, I've applied tissue tape, coloured with Soft Suede Ink (SU) then added iridescent powder. I've then wet embossed images from the stamp set Sense of Time (Su Retired). I've then decorated with various die cuts, images, a postage stamp, lace, jewels and eyelets. Close Ups: I'm entering these at Simon Says Stamp and Show where the theme is Anything but a Card. And over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme is Butterflies or Bugs. The Dt's on both teams have one some stunning work. Have a great week Debi x ps. If you haven't already and you like chickens check out my new blog Here and discover Bambino's adventures.

This is another set of inchies I have been working on in natural colours of cream, greens & sand. I thought I would show you the whole piece before I cut it up. I stitched over the piece with some free machine embroidery in gold thread. All cut up! and ready for the next stage ......... This time I only used 12 of the 16 inchies in the arrangement. This was due to the size of frame which I had decided to use. I will post a picture of the other 4 pieces and the finished framed piece when I get a chance to photograph them, my camera battery died on me before I got any more shots. The finished piece was a gift for my Mum who celebrated her 81st birthday today we had a family lunch gathering at a nice Italian place near her home then back to hers for an assortment of desserts, coffee, wine and some 'Singstar' fun. Happy Birthday Mum x

I felt like making a super-simple card last week, and this is what "happened." The flower stamp is from Inkadinkado. The inks and cardstocks are all from Stampin' Up! The sentiment is from a Studio G set. The squares were cut with Lifestyles (Quickutz) dies. Thanks so much for stopping by, and I hope you'll come back and visit again soon!
