Because of this you can expect prices to be pretty inflated, so it may be wise to stay a little out of town where the accommodation is a little more affordable. We stayed Sainte Maxime which is a 30 minute drive away, or a 15 minute water taxi. On our day in St Tropez we left Sainte Maxime fairly early, in order to enjoy breakfast in St Tropez. We decided to splash out on a luxurious brunch at the Dior des Lices; a beautiful garden belonging to the Dior flagship where the breakfast menu was simple, tasty and inspired by Haute Couture (by that, they mean ‘Dior’ emblazoned on the cappuccinos! ) After our feast of croissants and cappuccinos, we decided that we’d like to make the most of the beautiful day and spend the afternoon relaxing at one of the beach clubs, and our waiter had recommended Maison Bianca, so we took a taxi from St Tropez town to Pampelone beach – the closest beach to St Tropez. This beach was certainly the place to be with stylish beach bars lining the seafront, and despite the phenomenally expensive fee for the double sun lounger, we soon relaxed in amongst the glamorous guests and enjoyed an afternoon in the sun. After plenty of hours of sunshine, Charlie and I made our way back to St Tropez (my tip would be to ask your beach club to call a taxi for you as not many pass by on the road back to the port) to explore the boutique shops during the beautiful golden hour. We made the most of the stunning lighting by meandering through the incredibly photogenic streets, snapping and shopping – and even bumping into Gerard Butler at the Ice Cream shop! Nice is a stunning city in a really unique location. It's one of many gems along the French Riviera & I'm so excited to share my diary from my recent trip!
In the middle of a sprawling tapestry of olive groves and vineyards you’ll find Eygalieres. A little sleepy village with a weekly market, a handful of restaurants and winding streets lined with stone houses draped in roses and vines. It seemed like the perfect place to hunt out some supper and perhaps a glass of […]
