Quello che ha scommesso che questo giro lo avrebbe fatto in 80 giorni e che ha pure vinto e non solo, ma si è anche trovato una bella moglie indiana? Beh insomma, Linda ci ha invitato a ripercorrere quel viaggio a suon di ricette. E io non mi potevo certo perdere l'occasione di viaggiare un po' anche soltanto con la fantasia. Perciò eccoci in Inghilterra, pronte a partire, con bagagli enormi, perché comprensivi dei corredi necessari a cucinare ;) La prima ricetta dunque è per la terra di origine di Mr. Fogg e per il paese da cui l'avventura ha inizio. Ed è un dolce perché avremo bisogno di molte energie. JAM ROLL 4 uova 100 g di zucchero 100 g di farina 00 marmellata di arance zucchero a velo per decorare Sbattete i tuorli con 40 g di zucchero finché saranno ben gonfi, quindi montate a neve gli albumi con lo zucchero rimasto. Unite le chiare ai tuorli mescolando piano dal basso verso l'alto per non smontare la massa. Aggiungete adesso la farina setacciata poca alla volta e sempre mescolando. Rivestite di carta forno la placca, poi stendete la pasta biscotto con l'aiuto di una spatola ad uno spessore di circa 5 mm. Infornate a 180° per circa 10 minuti. Comunque appena sarà dorata sfornate la pasta biscotto e avvolgetela in un foglio di alluminio finché non si sarà raffreddata completamente. Stendete di nuovo la pasta, farcitela con la marmellata, riavvolgete e decorate con zucchero a velo, prima di servire. La marmellata deve assolutamente essere di arance altrimenti non sarebbe il "Jam" Roll; se vi piace potete servirlo anche con la panna montata come ho fatto io: delizioso per l'ora del te!!! La marmellata non è di mia produzione, è stato un gradito regalo, ma prima o poi ci provo, appena le arance sono un po' più buone...
