Here's a chance to wear a 1950s-era advertising relic around your neck with this large vintage Hudepohl Beer bottle opener necklace! I made this necklace from a 1950s-era metal bottle opener made by Vaughan Chicago for Hudepohl Brewing Co., one of Cincinnati's most beloved breweries. The bottle opener measures 3-3/4 inches long, and it's suspended on a 30-inch ball chain with a 10mm jump ring. If you'd like to figure out exactly where the pendant will fall, measure 15 inches down from the back of your neck. One side has "HUDEPOHL BEER" and "CINCINNATI, O." stamped into it in large block letters. The other side is blank Give this cool, unique necklace a try. Hudepohl, affectionately known as "Hudy," has been an iconic brand of Cincinnati beer since 1885 and is now enjoying a popular new life in Hudepohl-Schoenling Brewing Co., a subsidiary of the Christian Moerlein Brewing Co., also in Cincinnati. For more information, go to http://hudepohlbeer.com/. I got the idea to start making bottle opener necklaces after seeing Paul Newman wearing an old "church key" bottle opener like this one around his neck on a ball chain (or "dog tag chain"). I thought it looked cool and also practical, as there's always someone at a party hunting down a bottle opener whenever there's a bottlecap that simply won't twist off. I happened to have an old beer bottle opener lying around the house, as well as a ball chain lanyard, so I made a necklace for myself. As expected, it was a big conversation piece and came in handy. Try this one out and see what I mean! Shipping charges for domestic orders include USPS tracking.

About The Artwork Ludwig Hudepohl, beer baron at a company picnic with a beer and a cigar. Ah, summer days! He also liked to participate in singing groups. Would be great to see it displayed in a local microbrewery in my home city of Cincinnati! Artist notes: This painting took 3 months to create. It is based on a photo in a book about Cincinnati's beer barons and was made with the author's permission. 1st of 5 paintings in my history series about my Cincinnati, where I grew up and still live.
