Ohh......this rooster just makes me smile! Isn't he cute! Check out this fun wobbly card using the #161553- Hey Chuck Bundle= $51.25- pg. 49. I attached the rooster to a mini action wobbly- so that it moves/wiggles when you touch it! When creating this card I did a technique called Fractured card or Faux Shutter Technique. And it was so easy! And I just love it! Welcome to another week with The Paper Players Challenge. This week we were given a theme challenge: It's A Man's World. I decided to break out a new bundle... Stampin' Up Hey Chuck. I started with a piece of patterned paper from Stampin' Up One Horse Open Sleigh DSP. This is a new Online Exclusive that will be available July 1st. I adhered the DSP to a Very Vanilla mat using liquid adhesive. I adhered the layers to a Wild Wheat mat before adhering the layers to a Copper Clay card base. I stamped a rooster image from Stampin' Up Hey Chuck Stamp Set with Mementos Tuxedo Black Ink on a piece of Very Vanilla. I colored the image with Stampin' Blends: Copper Clay and Wild Wheat. I colored the beak and feet with Stampin' Up Stampin' Write Marker in Pumpkin Pie. I die cut the rooster image and a piece of Crushed Curry card stock with Stampin' Up Hey Chuck Dies. I die cut a piece of Very Vanilla with Stampin' Up Stylish Shape Dies. I blended Crushed Curry ink onto the circle die cut. I adhered circle to the card front with liquid adhesive. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink on a piece of Wild Wheat card stock. I heat embossed white embossing powder from Stampin' Up Basic Embossing Powders. I die cut the sentiment with Stampin' Up Stylish Shapes Dies. I adhered the sentiment die cut to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I adhered the sun just above the sentiment die cut with liquid adhesive. I added the rooster die cut to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished the card front off with Stampin' Up 2023-2025 In Color Dots. The inside is a panel of Very Vanilla card stock with the sentiment stamped with Copper Clay ink. I adhered the panel to a Wild Wheat mat prior to adhering it to the card base. I was inspired by Wendy Lee who altered a piece of the Let's Go Fishing Desinger Series Paper by adding the red lines to it using a Real Red Stampin' Blend. I just loved what Wendy created so I just had to try it. These Dudes from the Hey Chuck stamp set were super fun to colour. I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Dark and Light Stampin' Blends. These are my finished cards. I hope you enjoyed these 3 Hey Chuck cards. Eeek! Today's card is soooo fun! I'm featuring the Hey Chuck Bundle, which I'm loving the more and more that I use it! Today I have a spinner card for you, the sun will 'spin' and rise over one side of the hill and set over the other. SOOO FUN! I've made these penny spinners before, check out this post and video for the mechanism of the spinner. I used my Stylish Shapes dies to make my spinner track. I used a Blending Brush on my Basic White background before I die cut it so add a 'glow' of Daffodil delight around the sun. I also splattered it with Daffodil Delight Stampin' Blends too. For my hills I used Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist. I die cut them with the Gorgeously Made dies then again used Blending Brushes in their coordinating colors to add more depth to them. The images are all colored with Stampin' Blends. Colors listed below. I love this fun card! Just a note, penny spinner cards do cost a little extra to mail so keep that in mind when putting postage on this card. I have a full supply list below. We had Hey Chick in the past and now we have Hey Chuck! And Hey Chuck is just as much fun to use for creating projects. Today I am using the Hey Chuck Bundle to create a note card set. This project is from a recent gathering of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from the state of Georgia. Attendees created the note card set as one of their projects. To color the images watercolor pencils and a blender pen were selected. The technique of using watercolor pencils and a blender pen is often forgotten but is a great alternative to Stampin' Blends.
Each month one of my Flowerbug's Team is featured as an Artist of the Month. For July it was Annette and she chose the adorable Hey Chuck bundle seen here. You're in for a treat! I'll be sharing her incredible projects for the next few days. The card above shows that adorable rooster at it's best. She paired it with gingham accents in Glorious Gingham DSP and our Black & White gingham ribbon. She colored her rooster with Blends markers....

Sometimes you just have to create a card that makes you smile! Amy's great sketch was perfect for showcasing the chicks from Hey Chick! I used Zig markers and an aquapainter to watercolor those feathery critters then added a strip of paper from Serene Scenery. Hope you join us at Freshly Made Sketches! I had so much fun making this card! The background is stencilled to add a bit of interest and the colours I used are lemon lolly and daffodil delight. I even took time to finish off the inside to match!
