Welcome to another week with The Paper Players Challenge. This week we were given a theme challenge: It's A Man's World. I decided to break out a new bundle... Stampin' Up Hey Chuck. I started with a piece of patterned paper from Stampin' Up One Horse Open Sleigh DSP. This is a new Online Exclusive that will be available July 1st. I adhered the DSP to a Very Vanilla mat using liquid adhesive. I adhered the layers to a Wild Wheat mat before adhering the layers to a Copper Clay card base. I stamped a rooster image from Stampin' Up Hey Chuck Stamp Set with Mementos Tuxedo Black Ink on a piece of Very Vanilla. I colored the image with Stampin' Blends: Copper Clay and Wild Wheat. I colored the beak and feet with Stampin' Up Stampin' Write Marker in Pumpkin Pie. I die cut the rooster image and a piece of Crushed Curry card stock with Stampin' Up Hey Chuck Dies. I die cut a piece of Very Vanilla with Stampin' Up Stylish Shape Dies. I blended Crushed Curry ink onto the circle die cut. I adhered circle to the card front with liquid adhesive. I stamped the sentiment with Versamark Ink on a piece of Wild Wheat card stock. I heat embossed white embossing powder from Stampin' Up Basic Embossing Powders. I die cut the sentiment with Stampin' Up Stylish Shapes Dies. I adhered the sentiment die cut to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I adhered the sun just above the sentiment die cut with liquid adhesive. I added the rooster die cut to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I finished the card front off with Stampin' Up 2023-2025 In Color Dots. The inside is a panel of Very Vanilla card stock with the sentiment stamped with Copper Clay ink. I adhered the panel to a Wild Wheat mat prior to adhering it to the card base. I hope you enjoyed todays card and I can't wait to see what you create for that man in your life for The Paper's Player Challenge. Happy June - Time doesn't ever seem to slow down and Summer is just around the corner. You have arrived with the We Create small but mighty blog hop. Our focus is "Patterns Everywhere" Hopefully you will see some amazing use of patterns and Stampin' UP's Designers Series Paper. When I first started paper crafting, I really struggled with patterned papers and how to incorporate the patterns with my design. I am still not an expert, but am getting better at reaching for the DSP. I chose to use inked botanicals - which was actually designed with flowers and leaves that were pressing into ink and then pressing them onto the paper - I went a little more subtle with the plaid designs in the package. Isn't plaid all tied to farm life? I have to give a shout out to Hey Chuck stamp set. The Chickens and dies are sooo fun to work with. Stamps - Hey Chuck Ink - Pecan Pie, Black Paper - White, Lost Lagoon, Inked Botanicals DSP Accessories - Hey Chuck Dies, Blends Markers Continue on our small hop - won't take long. Good day friends! Can you believe we are halfway through the year already??? Where has the time gone. We spend the day in Dekalb yesterday getting the little man all signed up for his fall classes.... less than 60 days before we become the dreaded empty nesters. Man am I glad I have this little hobby of mine to keep me busy! Today's card features Stampin' Up Hey Chuck Bundle. I started with a panel of Stampin' Up 2023-25 In Color DSP and adhered it to a panel of Wild Wheat card stock to create the card front. I die cut a piece of Basic White with Stampin' Up Stylish Shapes Dies to create 3 square dies cuts. I stamped 2 images from Stampin' Up Hey Chuck Stamp Set with Mementos Tuxedo Black ink. Now, you may notice that the chicken images are bigger than square die cuts. This is ok... that's what makes this such a fun stamp set. I stamped the cupcake to the third die cut with Mementos Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored each image using Stampin' Blends: Wild Wheat, Boho Blue, Copper Clay, Moody Mauve, Crumb Cake and Lemon Lolly. I stamped the sentiment on the cupcake die cut with Copper Clay ink. I adhered 2 of the die cuts to the card front with liquid adhesive on the left side. I adhered the third die cut to the card front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I adhered the card front to a Copper Clay card base. I finished off the front with a few Stampin' Up Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems. The inside is a panel of Basic White. I stamped a sentiment from Stampin' Up Charming Sentiment Stamp Set using Copper Clay ink. I adhered a strip of DSP to the bottom of the panel before adhering it to the card base.
