Happy Tuesday, friends! I'm back with another mixed media meets cardmaking project using the newest Verve release. I painted and stained these hearts a while back for an art journal page, but ended up going a different direction so I tucked them away for safe keeping. {grin} Mark doesn't know it, but this card is for him. We've both been working hard at our new healthy lifestyle and he's just been a rock. He's my motivator when I feel like sitting on the couch instead of hitting the gym... my cook when I don't feel like cooking (which is pretty much all the time) and he's just a constant source of encouragement and support. This weekend will be our 8 week weigh-in with our trainer and combined we've already lost over 40 pounds. Pretty amazing and I know I wouldn't have been able to make this change without him, so I wanted to make a card for him. I chose these grungy primitive hearts because they're unfinished, imperfect, a bit flawed... but still beautiful, just like us! I stamped the leaves from New Mercies behind the hearts to represent how we're growing and flourishing together. The corrugated part up top represents how we're stretching ourselves and the bits of sparkle are those glimmers of our true personalities that are beginning to shine through again. The lace and twine blends masculine and feminine and ties it all together. Okay, was that enough symbolism for one card? {grin} I can't help it... I'm a hopeless romantic, thus the "my heart is yours" sentiment from Small Phrases. Speaking of personalities shining through, it's amazing how different I'm beginning to feel. More confident, more energetic, more creative... more ME. The ME that's been hiding away for far too long. The ME I've been desperately trying to wake up is beginning to stir and it's starting to feel like those obstacles I once thought were unscalable mountains are really only high hills. I'll get to them and beyond soon enough! Thanks so much for stopping by today and "listening" to my rambling thoughts. I hope you take a little time for yourself today to remember the person you want to be and do something that puts you closer along the path to becoming that person! Enabler's List: Stamps: Small Phrases, New Mercies (Verve Stamps) Paper: Crumb Cake (SU!), Cream Ink: Versamark, Antique Linen, Walnut Stain, paints and distress stains Accessories: Charming Banner Die Set (A Cut Above by Verve), Primitive Hearts dies (Sizzix), corner chomper, paper crimper, lace trims, flower, scrapper's floss, Light molding paste, champagne glass glitter, clear detail embossing powder

Receiving a handmade card as a random act of kindness (RAK) always touches my heart. This elegant card was given to me by my friend, Sandy. She CASE'd (Copy And Share with Everyone) a card by Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Lianne Carper (who CASE'd Demo Tina Dyck, who found it on the internet
This delightful trio of handmade cards and treat box features an enchanting underwater theme in soft Pool Party hues. The intricate die-cut elements, like coral branches and heartfelt sentiments, add a special touch to each design. By keeping the color scheme consistent and repeating key motifs, the cards work beautifully as a set while still maintaining their own unique charm. This lovely card showcases an underwater scene made with the Seaside Wishes stamp set and dies. The soft Pool Party background, embossed with the coordinating Embossing Folder, sets the stage for die-cut coral and seaweed in Pool Party and gold
Hello and welcome to my blog. Today I'm introducing the cards we'll be making at my in-person card classes coming up next week. You'll make 3 beautiful cards and the cost is $20, which includes envelopes and printed instructions. All you need to bring are your scissors and favorite adhesives. The schedule is as follows: Thursday, June 23rd 12:00 Thursday, June 23rd 5:00 Sunday, June 26th 2:00 Now let's take a look at the cards you'll make. This first card is made with the Texture Chic Suite and Delicate Edges dies. The Suite includes the beautiful Texture Chic Designer Series Paper, Season of Chic Bundle, and the beautiful Distressed Gold Specialty paper. The price of the whole Suite is just $77.50 plus shipping and taxes. I will post a card I made using the Distressed Gold paper at the bottom of the post. Next is the cute Wild and Sweet card with the panda. He looks so peaceful. The third card introduces the beautiful Willow Tree bundle and I used the Texture Chic Designer Series Paper, again, for the background and the Fabulous Frames dies for the frame. I hope you like these cards and live in the Tallahassee, Florida area. I would love to have you attend my classes. Below is the card made with the Distressed Gold paper and also the Willow Dies. Also, I have entered the card below in a card competition sponsored by Kylie Bertucci, and I would appreciate it if you would take a minute to go over to my blog and vote for it. There's only a few more hours left to vote. Just click on the picture of the card below. Details for making this card are also on my blog. Thanks so much. Contact Me! Shop Here! One of my friends made some of these cute nugget frogs. She found the directions here. I liked them so much I made a bunch for cards! Here are a couple I just finished: I did change mine a bit. I used the circle punch for the body...drew the mouth in and use the flower punch for the feet. Soon as I get a chance I'll be finishing some more frog cards...I still have about 8 frogs to use up!
Let's create the Spotlight on Nature Fun Fold! It's a simple fold using a 4" x 12" piece of designer paper.
Click Here to Vote for My Card Hello and welcome to my blog. I've made this beautiful thank you card for Kylie's International Blog Highlights. I'm asking you to please vote for my card so I can participate in her Top 10 Blog Hop! CLICK HERE TO VOTE! Look for entry #7. Just click on the heart in the upper right-hand corner. It will turn red when you have voted. The card I'm featuring today is an easel card made with the awesome Earthen Textures Dies and the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. The above picture is the view when it is taken out of the envelope. The below pictures show it in its easel form. The card base is a 4 1/4" x 11" piece of Night of Navy cardstock scored at 5 1/2" and 2 3/4". The 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Basic White is embossed with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder. Below are all the pieces I cut using the Earthen Textures Dies and the Countryside Inn Designer Series Paper. Boho Blue was used for the large palm, the sticks, and the smaller palm. Another palm and stick were cut from Night of Navy. Distressed Gold Specialty paper was used for the leaves and pod and punched with the Bough punch. Below are closeups of each vase. The thank you from Go to Greetings was stamped on Basic White in Night of Navy and cut with a die from the Something Fancy Dies set. The bordering base was cut with a die from the same set out of Boho Blue cardstock. This was mounted on dimensionals. I decided to see how the card front would look in a 4" x 6" frame. Below is the results and I love it! What do you think? Click on the box below to download your free tutorial. To duplicate this card, I have links to all the supplies I used below. I have made a video showing how to make this card. Just click on the picture below to view it. I hope you like my card and will take a minute to vote here for my card. Today's Create With Stamping Friends Saturday Hop theme is a neutral palette; whites, grays, ivorys, browns or black. I chose browns for this card - Basic Beige and Early Espresso. The floral image was stamped in Early Espresso on Basic Beige cardstock and "colored" with Clear Wink of Stella. The W.O.S. picked up the ink from the stamped image like using a Water Painter, adding subtle shimmer, as well. I love the circle dies in the Spotlight on Nature bundle! I think they're going to be used a lot in the near future. That's all for today - see you next Saturday! Up next is Libby Fens at Libby Stamps. Or click the "back" button to go back to Lori at Loritamarie Crafts. These beautiful cards were created with the Earthen Textures stamp set & Dies as well as the Darling Details stamp set.

Do you like mixing up a card design after you've made a card? I often like to use the same elements to create a different look. Let me show you what I mean. Remember this card I shared, using the Sale-a-bration Blossoming Basket stamp set. Well, after I made it with my SU team, I felt like playing around with the same pieces to create a couple of different looks - each with different levels of fussy cutting too. Some people love to fussy cut & some really loathe it so it's good to be able to have different options. No Fuss So I started my mix-up with a no fussy cutting version using the same card pieces. I embossed the pool party card with the Sale-a-bration Basket Weave dynamic embossing folder that's teamed with Blossoming Basket. Partially cutting the pretty Blossoming Basket image with the largest square die in the Stitched Shapes die set gives you a fast & gorgeous look with no fussy cutting. Yay! Again, this idea was inspired by these cards made by the fabulous Emma Godddard. I changed up the blossoms colours using calypso coral Stampin' Blends markers, plus the original old olive & crumb cake Blends. I backed the image with a square of pear pizzazz card & sweet doily. It looks so pretty sitting over the card edge. I couldn't resist adding a fussy cut butterfly too. Fussy Lavender This card fits the bill for those who love fussy cutting or lavender. Doesn't that basket of lavender look so beautiful? The brilliant idea to use the Sale-a-bration Lots of Lavender stamp set with Blossoming Basket also came from Emma Godddard's cards. I changed up the ribbon colours for this version, substituting lemon lime twist ombre ribbon & fresh fig ribbon. I love how fresh it looks. To make the lavender basket: - Stamp the whole Blossoming Basket image - no need to mask off the flowers. - Colour in the basket, then make a long horizontal slit just under the blossoms. - Stamp three lavender images & colour with rich razzleberry Stampin' Blends markers and fussy cut them out. - Slip the lavender into the slit, position them as you like and secure with adhesive - dimensionals. You may want to cut off some of the leaf sprigs so each lavender looks a little different. You can watch Emma's fb live video if you'd like to see this process visually. Thanks so much Emma for sharing this fabulous idea. So, which one's your favourite? Leave me a comment to let me know which one you'd like to make more & pin them for later inspiration too. You can see all my other Blossoming Basket projects here. Thanks for visiting today. I hope you come back again soon for more ideas. Inky wishes, Di Remember - the Blossoming Basket bundle & Lots of Lavender stamps are only available until 31 March when Sale-a-bration ends. Happy Mother's Day! We are experiencing some beautiful weather here in Minnesota. Hope you are too. Today starts another new challenge at Sunday Stamps! and here's what I made using the Flowers of Beauty Bundle (item 163376). I kept my card quite simple, in that I only stamped the sentiment and focused on the dies in the Flowers of Beauty Bundle. And can I just say how awesome the large die cut leaf is and the oodles of flowers you will get with one run through your die cutting machine?! My card follows this weeks new color challenge at Sunday Stamps! below. To join in on the fun and to showcase your creativity, simply create a card following the Sunday Stamps! challenge guidelines below: Use any brand of products you have; Link your new project you created for this challenge (no backlinks) to the Sunday Stamps! blog; The colors from the challenge must be the primary colors on your project. Please do not combine our colors with other color challenges. Provide a link to the Sunday Stamps! website and/or the challenge picture in your post; Feel free to combine our challenge with up to four other challenges; and most of all- Have fun creating with us! This weeks challenge will end on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 6:00 pm EST. For my creation, I decided to make a money/gift card holder on the front of the card and not actually have a "card". The new 3/8" In Color Bordered Ribbon is fantastic. It is soft and easy to work with and it ended up being the closure for my card. Note: Probably for the very first time I did NOT use Dimensionals to create my card! Say what?? I barely never ever not use Dimensionals. And no I am not sick or anything-lol. It just seemed to not need it this time and especially since I made the card open the way it does. I die cut flowers using Peach Pie and Moody Mauve cardstock and added some Calypso Coral ink to the Peach Pie flowers using a Blending Brush to add more dimension to the flowers. I love how it turned out. I paired my flowers with a Peach Pie pattern of Unbound Beauty DSP and a die cut rectangle from the Everyday Detail Dies. The circle for my sentiment is also from the Everyday Detail Dies. And finally, to finish off my card I added a few 2024-2026 In Color Shimmer Gems. Don't miss out on this beautiful bundle in the Unbound Beauty Suite (163390). Place a $50 order using Host Code: 2CWRZSV7 and you will receive the Fully Flowering Ephemera Pack (item 163762) as my thank you gift. I've been wanting an excuse to play with my new Friends & Flowers stamp set and coordinating Festive Flower Builder Punch ever since I made my first project with it--this (Bunny Bookmark) so I jumped at the chance to make my swap cards with it for our demonstrator-only stamp night this month. I used my favorite coloring tool, the Aqua Painter! Sometimes I color outside the lines... and don't notice it until it's cropped and blown up huge and in my face. Oh well! You guys know me and are not under the impression that I'm perfect, right? Hope I...

Let's create a Simple & Easy card using Card Sketch #17! This is the third version of this simple card sketch.
I was going to make a tri-fold card like the one on Cathy Proctor's blog (whatcathymade.com.au) but got a little carried away and made a sampler instead! The Crafting With You bundle is a great set for anyone who crafts. Whether you stamp, sew, paint or knit, it's all there for you. I do them all, so designing this project was fun for me. I used a piece of 12" x 12" Countryside Inn DSP for the base. Then I stamped and cut out all these little pieces using Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Boho Blue, Misty Moonlight and Basic White. After I arranged the larger pieces in the squares, I scattered the spools of thread, buttons and hearts around the sampler. It looks a bit like the way I craft....all over the place!
