Hello bloggers! It's time for another Lavinia Stamps challenge! and this time its 'Anything goes'..... so long as it's with Lavinia Stamps ;) Here's my DT make for the challenge.... I've used PanPastels to make the background for the lovely dandelions. I've also added wild grass and the flying ducks. The little leafy stamp at the top is one of Lavinia's £1 stamps, bargain!! I sprinkled frantage over the tops of the dandelions to look like pollen blowing in the breeze. Hi, it's Sunday I finally got a chance to play in my craft room! I wanted to play along at the Simon Says Monday challenge where the theme is to create a card inspired by Tammy Tutterow. Tammy's work is amazing. I chose to case this one.(Sadly I couldn't watch the video tutorial, my internet speed is pitiful at the moment.) I think the only supplies I had that matched Tammy's were the distress inks. I cut the tag from white cardstock and blended with the colours Tammy lists on her tutorial. I didn't have biscotti glimmer mist so I made up a spray with water and blue patina perfect pearls. It does give a subtle sheen when you move it around. I used a Stampin Up bird that I punched at my sister's on a visit a while ago. The flowers and leaves are cut from snippets, coloured with distress ink as well, so I'm also entering Pixie's Snippets Playground. There's always lots of fun happening there! At Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge the theme is to use a rubber or clear stamp. My sentiment is a clear stamp from Annabelle Stamps All Things Grow set. It's stamped in Versafine sepia. Inkspirational has an anything goes challenge. They have just changed to fortnightly challenges to allow more time to enter. CropStop is celebrating World Card Making Day with a blog hop and a challenge link. Make It Monday #187: Partial Die Cuts for the Holidays from Melissa, Melissa made an adorable vintage tag. Good morning! Last night I made these two tags in less than 20 minutes. I was just playing around. My partial die is the sentiment banner. I love this MakeIt Market Kit: Tinsel & Tags kit! It’s the very first Kit I bought and I couldn’t be happier. Not sure why my pictures are a bit darker than they are on my photo site. I had my banner faced the wrong way so some of the cutting board imprints showed up. Remember to have the right side facing the die. I hope you have a wonderful day!

I still had my Distress ink laying out and decided to make another tag; this one for Christmas. I began with a piece of Cryogen metallic white paper using my Cheery Lynn Designs Poinsettia embossing plate to add the embossed pattern. I added Distress ink heavily along the edges and then lightly across the rest of the tag. It really makes the embossed pattern stand out. Cheery Lynn released a new die this month called Poinsettia Strip. It cuts 2 large, 2 medium and 2 small petals in one pass through your die cut machine; this will create two flowers like the ones I made. And they are just beautiful. I just bend the petals down along the embossed line for dimension then stagger and stack them. To complete my tag, I added a Holly Lace Flourish for some greenery, the larger die from the Colonial Lamp Post set of 2, and the smaller die from the Merry Christmas set of 2 (I trimmed off the snowflakes). Next another set of tags that I create Inspired by a photo I found on pinterest, I use chipboard that I paint with light pink acrylic paint, then I cover with tea stained pink card stock and cover again with light coat of the same paint. I stamped different sentiments with gold embossing powder and added crepe paper on the bottom, I embellish with flowers, velvet ribbon, lace, vintage buttons and tea stained seam binding. Selle diferentes sentimientos con polvos de embossing color dorado y en la parte de abajo pegue papel crepe, adorne con flores, liston de terciopelo, encaje, botones vintage y seam binding teñido. I really loved how the tags look when I finish them, so I make a couple more... Me gusto el resultado final de estas tags, asi que hice un par mas... Hi friends, here is a tag I made with stamps, dies, and paper from Heartfelt Creations. I started by tracing the tag on the patterned paper and cutting with scissors. I stamped the flowers, cut with coordinating dies, shaded with distress ink. I sprayed the back with water to shape and give the petals the distressed look. I used a antique safety pin and skeleton key charm from Craftpon on Etsy. I decorated the safety pin with a bead and a couple of metal bead findings. I cut out the words from the "All Seasons Sentiments" image and adhered with pop dots. I tore a section of the pattered paper and rolled it over, underneath it I placed a piece of coordinating patterned paper and a die cut made with parchment vellum and the "Decorative Blossom" corner die. I added a pretty lace trim and a rhinestone border for the bottom edge of the tag. I also added some swirls and dots with dries clear adhesive and glitter. Here is another closeup of the flower. Cut two large corners from white parchment vellum with die from "Decorative Blossom" die set, use one corner to decorate the area were the paper was torn. Adhere patterned paper to tag. Stamp "Striped Sun Kissed Fleur" image on cream cardstock with black ink and cut with coordinating die. Stamp 2 each of 2 designs of the leafy branches from "Open Leaf" set on cream cardstock, cut with coordinating dies. Choose 4 flowers, different sizes and color with spun sugar and aged mahogany, sprits back of cardstock with a light mist of water and shape petals to give the flowers a distressed look. Color leaves with bundled sage and forest moss distress inks, shape with paper blossoms tool kit. Take the second die cut corner and trim leaving only the center shape, adhere flower, leaves and lacy die cut as pictured. Stamp the "All Seasons Sentiments" image on cream cardstock with black ink, cut your favorite words or sentiment ink edges with distress ink and adhere with pop dots. Add a bow made with seam binding. Add a vintage safety pin decorated with a bead and metal findings, attach to the bow. Add the key charm to the safety pin with a jump ring. Adhere some white trim to the bottom of the tag and a border of pink adhesive rhinestones. Draw some swirls and little dots with art glitter dries clear adhesive and cover with pink glitter. Also add some glue to some of the flowers and cover with glitter.

Hi everyone, hope you're all well and had a good weekend. I'm scraping in on the last day of Tim's 12 tags of 2012 April tag and I'm also entering my tag into Simon Says Stamp and show where the challenge is 'kaleidoscope of colours'. This tag is nothing like Tim's :) different dies, embossing folder, colours etc., I used what I had and really enjoyed making it. I've used all the techniques that were listed although my stamped image behind the embossing doesn't show up too well but it is just visible. Have a lovely evening.

Here's a birthday card I made using the Snapping Monsters stamp set I recently released: You know I'm a sucker for ink smudging, so that's what I did to the book-page background. I smudged Distress Ink on with sponges, then stamped my girl on white paper. I colored her with more Distress Ink and some Spectrum Noir markers, then fussy-cut her out. I gave her a haircut and added a party hat, stuck her to my background, then added the sentiment and circled it with Prima wire thread. I cut out some additional words from another book page with a larger font that were party-related and added them to my background, too. Such a fun card and I hope that my friend will enjoy it for her birthday!

For my project today, I decided to make a tag using the Vintage Floret Collection and the beautiful dies from the Decorative Chateau Gate die set. Products Used: HCPC 3500 Open Vintage Floret PreCut Set HCPC3502 Mini Vintage Floret PreCut Set HCD 727 Vintage Floret Die HCD 718 Decorative Chateau Gate Die HCDP1 227 Vintage Floret Paper Collection Grand Calibur Other: Pearl Metallic Cardstock, Natural White Cardstock by Neenah Papers, Victorian Velvet, Broken China, Peeled Paint and Vintage Photo Distress Inks, Blue Pearls, Blue Silk Ribbon by May Arts, Foam Squares by Scrapbook Adhesive by 3L. Instructions: Tag measures approximately 8” x 3 ¾”. Die cut 3 small square windows from the Decorative Chateau Gate Die set with pearl cardstock. Cut tag base to 6” x 2 3/8” using pearl metallic cardstock and another piece with Designer Paper. Glue square windows on top and bottom of pear metallic tag base. Glue Designer Paper piece on top of tag base as pictured. Cut sentiment from Vintage Floret Paper Collection and frame with pearl metallic cardstock. Cut sides from the extra square window and attach to top and bottom of sentiment. Adhere to tag using foam squares. Stamp flowers using two smallest flower stamps from the Vintage Floret PreCut sets using blue distress ink on Natural White cardstock. Die cut with coordinating dies. For the leaves, stamp star flower in green distress ink and die cut with coordinating die. Shape flowers and embellish with a blue pearl in the center. Add more color to edges of flowers and leaves with distress inks. Arrange flowers and leaves on tag as pictured using foam squares. Make a bow using blue silk ribbon and adhere to tag top. I love Laurel Seabrook's new challenge blog "Inspired By". The inspiration photo for this week brought to mind, Red curves, Elves and Whimsy. As soon as I saw this photo I thought of Santa's bag of toys and the great little stamp set 'Merry Pursuits' (which is unfortunately retired). This card is in a different style than I usually make, but I did have fun making it. I cut a piece of red cardstock 4 1/4" x 10 1/2", scored it at 5 1/4" and folded it to make the card base (the card base is 1/4" shorter than the finished card so that the presents at the top can extend beyond the top fold and cover it). I free handed a toy bag on a sheet of copy paper 4 1/4" x 5 1/4", cut it out and traced it onto the front of my card base. I cut out the shape (cutting through both back and front layers of the card and then using my pattern as a mask I inked the edges and folds of the bag using first Tulip then Grey Wool ink. (see below) Here is the inspiration photo: Here is the pattern that I drew. You can see where I cut the pattern in order to ink the image. There is nothing like Southern Hospitality! That dynamic duo of Brian King and Pam Morris organized a World Card Making Day event in Atlanta - and what an event it was! About 45 Stampin' Up! demos gathered for a weekend of fun, friendship, swapping, crafting and training. It was like a miniature convention - complete with an appearance by Donna Griffith from SU!'s home office! Pam Morris, Donna Griffith, Brian King And in true SU! tradition there were prizes galore! Here I am winning my first prize from Pam - a Frightful Wreath kit and DSP.....oh it was a very good day for prizes if your name was Linda! Who is that photo bomber anyway???? Brian and Pam truly thought of everything - games, projects, demonstrations, contests and Krispy Kremes..........what more could you ask for? Our table hard at work on a Halloween project. December is a very special month for so many reasons. For us it also means that we will have the greatest Joy to present mixed media artwork from our new enlarged international Design team! Dla nas grudzień oznacza również to, że będziemy mieli wielką przyjemność prezentować mixed mediowe prace naszego nowego, powiększonego Design Teamu! Dzisiaj spotykamy się z przeuroczą, utalentowaną: Hello ! Can it really be the last month of the year!? It's a little scary how quickly time rushes by............so, when I received my package of beautiful art supplies from the Mixed Media Place I wasted no time, and got straight to work.....well, not really work; more like fun, lots of fun!!! I couldn't wait to play with the new stencils, stamps, inks and paints. I'm not really a card person, but big tags are different.....I view them as a mini art journal page. So I made some Christmas tags. Witajcie! Czy to naprawdę już ostatni miesiąc roku?!To niewiarygodne jak szybko leci czas... Tak więc, gdy dotarła do mnie paczka pięknych materiałów z Mixed Media Place, postanowiłam tego czasu nie tracić i od razu zabrałam się do pracy... No, może nie całkiem "do pracy", bo miałam ogrom zabawy!!! Nie mogłam się doczekać aż zacznę się bawić moimi nowymi maskami, stemplami, tuszami i farbami. Nie należę do osób, które lubią robić kartki, ale duże tagi to zupełnie co innego.... Traktuję je trochę jakby były mini stronami żurnalowymi. Postanowiłam stworzyć kilka tagów świątecznych. Each tag started as a piece of Sunrise Sunset paper. It was then inked, either straight from the bottle with Distress Stains or more lightly where the ink was diluted with water, either on the mat or sprayed onto the tag. I have then used the Prima Elementals "Halftone" Stencil with texture paste. Bazą każdego z tagów jest papier z kolekcji Sunrise Sunset, który potuszowałam - albo korzystając z Distress Stain prosto z buteleczki, albo odrobinę delikatniej, rozwodnionym tuszem, albo sprejując bezpośrednio na tag. Użyłam również maski z kolekcji Elementals, przez którą nałożyłam pastę strukturalną. The Sunrise Sunset Cling Stamp Set is perfect for Christmas projects. I have used the beautifully detailed lace edging on this tag and embossed it. On other tags I've used the very "Christmassy" looking connected daisies. Zestaw tych stempli z kolekcji Sunrise Sunset świetnie pasuje do bożonarodzeniowych projektów. Misterną koronkę wykorzystałam na brzegach taga i zastosowałam embossing. Podobnie użyłam też kwadratowego stempla z powtarzającym się "kwiatkowym" motywem. Can you see what each tag is mounted on ? It is the beautiful "woven" packaging card from my Elementals stencil. This card makes each tag firm and sturdy so it can stand nice and straight if propped up on a mantelpiece for display. The little metal numbers and flower come from Mechanicals line. Czy dopatrzyliście się co jest bazą moich tagów? A mianowicie piękne opakowanie od maski Elementals. Tekturka jest sztywna, więc pozwoli na ładne wyeksponowanie moich tagów na kominku. Cyferki i kwiatek są z kolekcji Mechanicals. On each tag I've also used images from paper serviettes. I really love using tissue paper....I like the delicate, transparent effect of it, and I now use this technique on just about every thing I do. Finally to some tags I added some paint splatters, some water colour, a little washi tape and some extra stamping with a Christmas message. Lubię delikatny, prześwitujący efekt, który można dzięki nim osiągnąć i używam ich niemal w każdym z moich projektów. One of the things that I really got into a few years ago after being a bit dubious of them was stencils and since then I tend to use them with most of my creations. I love how they can add texture and interest in an entirely different way to when we use stamps for this same purpose. For this card I chose to incorporate four different stencils by Stencil Girl Products to create all my background interest and kept the stamps purely to add all my foreground imagery. (Often I will use stamps to add further background interest but due to all the layering with the stencils I felt it wasn't required here.) I chose to combine my EKC03 stamp set along with the fabulous stencils by Stencil Girl Products. So.....................here's how I went about creating the card! Step One: Paint a 10.5x21cm white panel with Fresco Finish Dusty Teal paint. Ensure the panel is dry then mask off sections of the top and base with sticky notes. (I masked off approx 2cm at the top and 3.5cm at the base. Step Two: Take the large L169 Crackle stencil, place over the panel and sponge through Snowflake Fresco Finish paint. Heat set. Step Three: Place the top edge of the S142 Bubbles stencil with the edge of the top sticky note and tape into position with low tack tape. Add another sticky note at the base of the stencil then sponge through Hint of Mint Fresco Finish paint. Heat set. Step Four: Remove the stencil and extra sticky note and low tack tape and sponge a very light layer of Hint of Mint over the panel between the two original sticky notes. Step Five: Stencil in some foliage using S078 Swatton Flowers along with Dusty Teal Fresco Finish. (As you can see I used some low tack tape to mask off certain areas of the stencil.) Step Six: Here's what it now looks like. After evaluating it I decided that there wasn't enough contrast in colour between my first two stencils - the crackle one and the bubbles one.) Step Seven: So...........I popped the bubbles stencil back over my previous stencilled circles and once again held it in place with some low tack tape and added an extra sticky note to the base before sponging through Beach Hut Fresco Finish - directly on top of the circles I had previously stencilled with Hint of Mint. Step Eight: After heat setting I then began stamping my composition with Jet Black Archival onto the panel; still with the original two sticky notes in place. I also stamped two images of the daisy heads and some butterflies onto a piece of Smoothy card. Step Nine: I painted the imagery on the panel and the extra stamped bits using Fresco Finish paints in Snowflake, Dolly Mix, Amethyst, South Pacific, Zesty Zing, Pumpkin Soup and Pearl Glaze (for the butterfly wings). Step Ten: Heat set the panel. Remove the sticky notes and this time use them to mask off the stamped part of the panel. Take the S279 Night Sky stencil and sponge through Dolly Mix Fresco Finish to decorate the top and base areas of the panel. Heat set. Step Eleven: Paint a strip of Snowflake Fresco Finish along the base of the panel, heat set and then stamp the wording with Jet Black Archival ink. Add some doodled lines using a 0.3mm black multi-liner where the different parts of the panel meet each other and under the wording and then paint between these lines with Snowflake Fresco Finish. Step Twelve: Add some shadowing around the stamped imagery using a Black Soot Distress Marker and lightly add some colour to the wording using Mustard Seed and Seedless Preserves Distress Markers. Take an opaque white pen and colour in the middles of the Dolly Mix stars. Step Thirteen: Adhere the panel to a same size card blank. Cut out and mount the daisy heads and butterflies to the panel and add some Stardust glitter glue for sparkle! Many thanks for visiting! I hope you like the finished item! Happy Tuesday! Here are my projects using the new stamp set Decembrrr from Avocado Arts. Let's Go! Card 1: Thanks SNOW much I made an oval easel card. Not your traditional Christmas color combo, but I went for a frosty bold look with the blue & black. I created this cute winter scene using the snowman, snowflakes and tree images. All colored with my Copics. For the puffy snow, I used Liquid Applique in white, love the dimensional effect it gives. The sentiments "Decembrrr" & "Thanks SNOW much" are one of the many from the stamp set. I added some snowflake die cuts and flowers to finish the card. Tag 1: SNOW good to see you Next up, I made this cute reindeer tag. The reindeer is from the Hollydays stamp set. I used the tree image again, stamped and fussy cut it out several times to use in the background. "SNOW good to see you" is another sentiment in the Decembrrr stamp set. I coordinated this tag with my previous card. Oh did I forget to mention that I added the biggest red shiner for the nose? Adorbs! Tag 2: You're SNOW wonderful For my second tag, I used the pair of penguins in the stamp set. I colored them with my Copics and fussy cut them. Look they're holding hands! LOL I had this snowflake doily die and cut it twice, added some dimensional foam adhesive and layered them. I doodled some dots for a pierced look on the background. I used more of that Liquid Applique for the snow effect. The "You're SNOW wonderful" is yet another phrase included in the set. Hope you enjoyed my projects for you. What cool ingredients for this fortnight’s recipe over at Dragons Dream Tag It On – hop on over there, get some inspiration from the Design Team and play along too. I love this boat stamp! I don’t get to use it very often. I coloured the boat/sand/grasses with water soluble pastels (Warehouse Stationery) and painted the main background with some beautiful shimmer water-colour paints I have. The dragonfly was stamped twice onto acetate and layered for dimension. I raided the grapevine (what’s left of it, lol) for the “driftwood” which is placed over some butterfly washi tape. This tag has a lovely serene feel to it and I am very happy with the way it turned out considering I did it in the 20 minutes between Liam going to school and me going to work, lol Thanks for taking a peek. Hello and welcome to the STAMplorations Typografia CHRISTMAS Blog Hop! STAMPlorations has released some awesome Typografia stamps recently and today we want to show you samples with the Christmas themed ones. Here are my inspirational pieces: Lets start with a Christmas card. I used the stamp together with Memento Luxe Wedding Dress on some black cardstock to achieve a chalk board look. I love chalkboard and Christmas combined together. Matching the chalkboard card I have a chalky gift tag. In addition to the stamped images I used the ARTplorations mini stars stencil for some extra texture. Last but not least I have a very colourful version of a Christmas tag with kind of a mixed media style. I used bonding powder together with gold foil for this stamped image. The foiled parts act as a resist to any kind of watercolours. So I used Brusho Powders to colour the background. I cut some stars from old book paper to add some more interest to the tag. Liker så godt disse nye store tags som Ranger har gitt ut. Her har jeg brukt Manila tag # 10. Mønsterark fra Pion Design - For Father 6x6". Motiv stempler fra Tim Holtz. Tekst stempel fra Kort og Godt. Først distresset jeg begge sider av tag'en før jeg limte på mønsterark. Gjorde ferdig baksiden før jeg startet med fremsiden. Sprayet tag'en med glimmer mist - walnut gold og dylusions ink spray - black marble. Seam binding båndet er farget med distress stain vintage photo og walnut stain. Stemplet motivet rett på mønsterarket. Baksiden er distresset med distress ink walnut stain og vintage photo pluss vann. Limte på en Fragments Charms over årstallet til mottakeren av tag'en.
