My card today features a brand new set from Stampin' Up! that will be available May 4 in the upcoming Annual Catalog. I love the loose brushed look of this set. As a two step stamp set it makes for beautiful EASY cards by using the "solid" stamps to "color" the images. But you can also watercolor or use markers to color in the flowers yourself, if you are so inclined. For this card, I took the easy way. And I love how it came out. No one would think it was as simple to make as it was. I used the Sketch from this week's sketch challenge at Splitcoaststampers to start. I stamped the flowers and used the solid stamps. Because the nature of this is loose, you do not have to be exact with your stamping. In fact, it looks better if you're not "inside the lines!" I die cut the floral spray and adhered that to a rectangle cut with the stitched rectangle dies. For my band across the middle I used some ribbon that is folded over. Because of the dimension of the ribbon, I popped the rectangle up on foam strips. I'll probably use this as a birthday card although it would be lovely for any occasion. This card went very fast and would be easy to make in quantity. Welcome to the Stamp Review Crew's Hand-Penned Petals edition! The "Crew" is made up of a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators from around the world who pick a stamp set or bundle to highlight on the first and third Mondays of each month, with a bonus hop if there is a fifth Monday. If you landed here from Nikki's blog, My Sandbox, welcome! There are seven of us today so it won't take too long, but there will be lots to inspire you! Hand-Penned Petals is a 15 piece photopolymer stamp set, and has a coordinating 14 piece Penned Flowers Dies set. And of course, if you bundle them both, you save 10%. I love that you can use the filler stamps for a quick card, or color the outline stamps yourself. I chose the peony image for the three cards I have to share today and, of course, I colored them in with Stampin' Blends. The first card uses the pretty Paper Lattice on page 141 of the catalog. I know it's part of a different suite, but everything Stampin' Up! makes just seems to go together! I had a leftover embossed strip from Saturday's card and adhered it behind the lattice. The Soft Succulent looks lovely with the Kraft lattice and Crumb Cake circle - really makes the leaves pop! A few 2021-2023 In Color (Evening Evergreen) Jewels were added to dress it up a little, along with an Evening Evergreen Open Weave bow and a Crumb Cake twine bow. The next card is sooo soft and feminine in real life - the photo just doesn't do it justice. I started with a Fresh Freesia card base and used the scalloped die from the coordinating Penned Flowers dies to trim a little off the bottom. A one inch strip of the plaid Fresh Freesia In Color DSP was adhered to the inside of the back flap. What really makes this card shine (pun intended) is the Fresh Freesia Shimmer Vellum. It is just so pretty and really takes the card over the top. But you know me, I had to add a little more shine, so some silver cord and silver epoxy diamonds completed the card. Look at that shimmery, shiny yumminess! Okay, okay, I'll quit sighing over it and show you the last project. (Seriously, I could have made a dozen more cards with this set!) For the final card, I went bold with the colors. After two with Fresh Freesia, I felt something in BLUE would be nice! I wanted to make this a birthday card, so I borrowed the die cut and greeting from A Wish For Everything. The peony was colored with Night of Navy, Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody, and Granny Apple Green Blends. It was popped up on vellum cut with a Scalloped Contours die, which was adhered over Basic White, adhered over some N.O.N. DSP, adhered over a N.O.N. mat and to the card base. WHEW, that's a lot of layers! The die cut "Happy" was cut from the navy Ombre Specialty Paper, and some Blue Adhesive-backed Gems were added. I was given a set of the Hand-Penned Memories & More cards and just had to make a card with one of the smaller cards from the pack. I grabbed some of the matching DSP called Hand-Penned DSP for the background layered on a piece of Mint Macaron card stock then a white base. The card from the Memories & More pack had the pattern plus the sentiment and the floral stem on it. I then cut several leaves in Mint Macaron card stock plus flowers in Daffodil Delight and Blushing Bride card stocks with the Penned dies. I finished it off with a gem in the center of flower. These cards in the pack can be used to make fast and easy full cards or scrapbooks/smash books. Thanks for stopping by! Have an amazing weekend! A get well card that should make anyone feel better. I used the new Hand-Penned Petals Bundle to create this beautiful card. The bundle includes the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set and the Penned Flowers Dies. This is a two-step stamp set so I stamped the outline flower in Black Memento Ink and stamped the inside flowers in Blushing Bride Ink and the leaves in Crumb Cake Ink. I love the font on the "feel better friend" sentiment which is also included in the Hand-Penned Petals Stamp Set. Details: White Cardstock card base: 4 1/4" x 11", scored at 5 1/2" Blushing Bride 6x6 Designer Series Paper: 5 1/2" x 2", scallop cut using Penned Flowers Dies Accented with Linen Thread and Champagne Rhinestones

Hi crafty friends, Here is a variation of yesterdays card. I had extra Shimmery White Embossing Paste (#145645) which I had coloured with Fresh Freesia ink refill (#155612), so did a second card front for another card, so here it is. Check yesterdays post as to how I did the embossing with the Mask from the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks (#158142). I stamped the floral image from the Hand-Penned stamp set (#155070) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). This was coloured with the following Stampin’ Blends - Granny Apple ren (#154885), Flirty Flamingo (#154884), Fresh Freesia (#155518) and Daffodil Delight (#154883). The coloured image & leaves were cut with dies from the Penned Flowers Dies (#155557). I adhered Adhesive Sheet (#152334) to the Granny Apple Green card (#147014) before cutting the leaves. The flowers were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104330). The shimmery card is from the Supple Shimmer 12”x12” Specialty Paper (#158068). This was attached to the Basic White base card (#159228). The sentiment is from the Home & Garden stamp set (#157910) and stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink (#147052). This was cut with a Waves Die (#158840). The White Glittered Organdy Ribbon (#156408) was threaded through the label and wrapped around the cardfront. I stamped and diecut a bunch of these flowers and was playing with it and decided to use two with a banner inbetween and what a sweet card it made. Basecard is thick white ( I abhor flimsy base so I am exclusively using thick cardstock for the base with a layer of fresh freesia. then a layer of scallops contour diecut in white. Two flowers cut and colored with mango, freesia, balmy blue and granny apple green - popped with dimensional. The sentiment is from Art Gallery pulled a little to fit in the banner from the Floral Heart diecut and pearls to add some sparkle. Easy peasy but SO Pretty!

Welcome everyone, The Hand-Penned Suite (#155503) includes the Hand- Penned Petals stamp set (#155070), Penned Flowers Dies (#155557), Hand Penned Designer Series Paper (#155499) and Genial Gems (#155500), all of which I have used on this card. “Happy Birthday” is from the Artistically Inked stamp set (#154542). I stamped this with VersaMark (#102283) onto Basic Black card (#121688) and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder from the Basics Pack (#155554) which was set with the Heat Tool (#129056). I stamped the floral image from the Hand-Penned stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708) for the outline. The flowers were stamped with Daffodil Delight ink (#147094) and Highland Heather ink (#147103). The leaves were stamped with Mint Macaron ink (#147106). I attached the Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper to the Basic Black card, then this was attached to the Basic White base card. I used Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430) to attach the floral image to the Basic White card which had been embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing folder (#152725). I also added glitter to the flowers and leaves with the Clear Wink Of Stella Brush (#141897). The Mint Macaron embellishments from the Genial Gems (#155500) were added to the card. The Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper is one of the DSP’s on special this month.
