Good Morning Friends It is Pam getting crafty with you today! It has been such beautiful weather here in South Carolina that I have been able to clean out my flower beds. We had a cold winter and even snow. So some of the more tropical plants didn't make a come back this spring. I am going to have to pick some new plants to replace the ones that didn't make it. So with plants on my mind that was my inspiration for my card this week! Design Steps: 1. Cut out the water can in silver metallic paper using the Spring Watering Can die. Next cut out all of the flowers and leaves in white using the same die. I cut out 2 each of the flowers and 3 of the leaf stems. 2. Color the flowers and leaves using copic makers. Add shading to the watering can using copics 3. Tape the leaves and flowers to the back of the watering can 4. Cut the hello using the Hello Spring die. I cut one in yellow and one in gray. Glue the gray one in the back of the yellow one slightly off center. Also cut a frame using the Pierced Wide Rectangle Frames dies the second from the largest in vanilla card stock 5. Use a vanilla A2 card base a yellow piece cut to 4 x 5 1/4 and a piece of DP 3 3/4 x 5. Make sure to add the ribbon before you glue the panel to the front of the card. Add the vanilla frame to the card just slightly to the left of center 6. Add the watering can onto the frame as shown 7. Place the hello to the upper right side of the card and it is complete Cottage Cutz Products I hope you check out these cute dies in our store today! This card would make a great Mother's day card too! Blessings Pam

Just Add Ink 173 At Just Add Ink this week, the criteria is 'Just Add Water.' The first stamp that came to my mind was Bootiful Occasions - with the gumboots. I love pretty gumboots and have a pair at our front door that I wear when visiting my husband at his shed! "When the rain is done, out comes the sun!" How I made my pretty gumboots: I stamp the first boot directly to the card, a bit off centre because I want to add the other boot on top. Clean the stamp and use a marker and only draw the outline of the boot (not the clouds) and stamp that onto Designer Paper. I then carefully cut out the paper piece and glue onto stamped boot. Repeat for the second boot, however stamp it onto whisper white cardstock and not directly to the card, cut this out and place off centre over other boot. I also used my markers to add some shadow areas, so it didn't look too paper like and added extra dimension by applying crystal effects to each gumboot, which I don't think the photo is showing very well. One of my new favourite papers from the 2014 Catalogue is Gingham Garden. It's just so me! Stamp Set: Bootiful Occasions (pg24) Accessories: Crystal Effects (pg 174) Designer Series Paper: Gingham Garden (pg153) Colour Combination: Whisper White ; Coastal Cabana ; So Saffron ; Daffodil Delight ; Melon Mambo Thanks for stopping by, Lou X

Bonjour, Je vous fais découvrir une nouvelle carte, mettant la météo de la saison à l'honneur, réalisée pour illustrer le défi inspi que je propose ce mois-ci sur le Coffee Scrap. A bientôt,
Hi stampers! Time for a new Card Concept challenge, where we describe the concept we use to create our cards! Here's the pretty prompt for this week's challenge: What a pretty spring vignette! I was enamored by those pretty boots, so here's my Clean-and-Layered card for today: Truthfully, I had this card started with something else in mind, but when I saw the challenge photo, I changed it up a bit! The boots were stamped in Petal Pink on some rosebud paper from BoBunny's Pincushion collection. They are so cute, I wish I had a pair just like it! I stamped, colored and diecut the other elements of the card: watering can, flower pot and tulips....then layered them on a piece of Basic White cut with the Scalloped Contours dies. I also stamped the little seed packet with Versamark ink on the Calypso Coral card base, then heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder. The sentiment is from Best Year! I also added a little bit more color on the flowers with my watercolor pencils! This is certainly a bright card...hopefully it will cheer up the recipient! And hopefully you'll be able to play along with us as well! Be sure to tell us what your "concept" is (you can see the details on the Card Concept blog) as well! Thanks for visiting today! The drama continues....this silly pup! She is bound and determined to stay in that wee little bed!! Enjoy your day and be blessed! Hi! Hello, and welcome to Pear Pizzazz week of the Colour Creations blog hops. Pear Pizzazz is in the Subtle Family collection and is a bit of a so-so green. I don't love it, but I don't hate it, either. I decided to pull out my Plentiful Plants bundle to play with, and to use some of the plant stamps that hadn't seen ink yet. I paired it with Sweet Strawberry for the sentiments and the Stitched Greenery Die for the background. I don't know what this plant is called in real life, but in my head it's become the Brian May plant. It reminds me so much of his hair, and that's all I can see now! I actually created the inside of the card before I'd finished the front. In hindsight, I wish I'd stamped the Brian May plant again on the Whisper White base, as I did on the front, to extend the height of the plant. Next time! Speaking of next, the next stop in our Blog Hop belongs to Michele Taylor. Jump on over to her blog to see what is sure to be a fabulous card. And don't forget that Cathy Proctor is here to save the day if you run into any problems. She's got a list of all participants in case of an emergency 😉 Bye for now, Tina

Happy Thursday, peeps! I have a little card using the Atlantic Hearts Sketch for this week: I stamped, colored and die-cut the daisies and flowerpot from Flowering Rain Boots and added a sentiment from Special Moments, stamped on a piece of Soft Seafoam DSP: I wanted to give the images a little more color, so I filled them in with a blender pen and ink: I added the little gardening tool and seed packet as well as some Bumblebee Gingham ribbon: It all went on a Crumb Cake card base that was embossed with the Tasteful Textile embossing folder which I inked with Crumb Cake ink before running it through the Big Shot. And it's already out in the mail! Thanks for popping in today! Enjoy it and be blessed! "If God is for us, who can be against us?" The DOstamperSTARS are excited to bring you another Stamping with the STARS Inspiration Hop #DOswts366. This week we're sharing a sketch. I created today's sketch. It's a copy of a layout I used on another card that I haven't shared yet, but will soon. I reached for the Bloom Where You're Planted Suite products. It's currently my favorite suite that I'm playing with. Love the colors, images and sentiment/fonts. How'd She DO That? I have been wanting to use this Macra-Made for you die by The Greetery for some time. I cut everything from white card and coloured the pot with a little Distress Oxide ink at the sides and then spritzed with water to let the colour spread. The leaves, which were from some tiny dies whose origin I can't place, were also coloured with a couple of shades of DOI and again spritzed. To give the pot a 3D appearance, I put a dimensional pad behind the centre and stuck down the sides. The sentiment from Sugar Pea Designs, was heat embossed in silver EP. I used the Stampin’ Up! Plentiful Plants stamp set bundle and coordinating Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP to create a thank you card for the Fab Friday sketch challenge this week.
