Glass painting ideas for beginners is a charming idea that has a lot of appeal, but many of us stay away from it on the assumption that it is not easy to do.
Striking colorful fused glass sculpture. Lots of colored squares and rectangles of hand cut glass layered on top of each other like a large sandwich. The glass is fired in a kiln to 1500 degrees until it becomes one single piece of glass. The glass has a black base so light does not come through. The Sentinel will stand out in any location. These beautiful flower meadow hearts will look stunning hanging by a window with the light catching every detail. They are made with Bullseye Glass using hand painted enamel, glass frit (crushed glass) and the flowers are made by melting glass in a flame and moulding it to the shape I require. Each piece would have been fired at least twice in my kiln overnight and slowly annealed for added stability. They are wired to hang and enhanced with a silver bead. They measure 14.5 x 12cm and come in a gift box.
