Poucas pessoas dão a atenção necessária aos ombros e atividades do dia a dia, como pintar paredes, pendurar cortinas e nos cuidados das plantas, que podem ocasionar dores nos ombros e que podem se tornar lesões. A fisioterapeuta da Mercur, Tania Fleig, explica que praticar exercícios e esportes que demandam esforço dos braços são os que mais facilitam o surgimento de lesões, especialmente quando os movimentos são realizados de maneira inadequada. Mas mesmo sendo menos comum, isso também pode ocorrer nas atividades de trabalho que exigem que as pessoas mantenham o braço levantado por muitas horas ou dias seguidos, como no caso dos pintores e carpinteiros, por exemplo. A má postura por muitos anos e o desgaste normal dos tendões, que ocorre com a idade, também podem levar a lesões nesta região do corpo. De acordo com Regis Severo, fisioterapeuta da Mercur, as lesões nos músculos ou tendões podem tornar-se graves, pois, com o tempo, são capazes de comprometer a funcionalidade do corpo, impedindo ou dificultando a realização das suas atividades cotidianas. "Nestes casos é comum sentir fraqueza e dificuldade para realizar os movimentos do ombro", destaca Regis. Tratamento O tratamento, segundo os fisioterapeutas, depende do tipo e da gravidade da lesão e também de quais músculos foram lesionados. Em muitas situações é possível tratar esta lesão por meio de fisioterapia. E, após o tratamento, com a redução da dor e da inflamação, exercícios de fortalecimento para a musculatura podem ser iniciados, recuperando a funcionalidade dos músculos e tornando-os mais "preparados" para as atividades diárias. As faixas elásticas são boas opções para a realização dos exercícios e o uso de órteses também ajuda a manter o ombro estável durante o período em que a pessoa estiver em reabilitação, dando suporte aos músculos que estão lesionados e enfraquecidos. As órteses confeccionadas em Neoprene® possuem a propriedade de reter o calor corporal, o que pode auxiliar no relaxamento dos músculos e na redução da dor. Prevenção Tania e Regis dão algumas dicas de exercícios com faixa elástica para prevenir o surgimento das dores nos ombros. Confira! 1 - Em pé sobre a faixa elástica, mantenha os pés paralelos e levemente afastados e a coluna bem ereta. Segure as extremidades da faixa elástica nas mãos. 2 - Inspire e durante a expiração, flexione os joelhos ao mesmo tempo em que eleva os braços até a linha dos seus ombros, sem dobrar os cotovelos. 3 - Inspirando retorne à posição inicial. Lembre-se: durante o movimento de agachamento mantenha o abdômen contraído e os calcanhares no chão. Tenha cuidado com a posição de sua coluna, que deve permanecer ereta. Recomenda-se fazer estes movimentos de forma contínua por até 10 repetições. 1 - Sentada, mantendo a coluna ereta, passe a faixa elástica ao redor do seu tórax e mantenha seus cotovelos flexionados bem encostados ao corpo. Segure a faixa elástica com a palma das mãos voltadas para cima. 2 - Inspire e durante a expiração, estenda os cotovelos virando as palmas das mãos para baixo. 3 - Volte à posição inicial inspirando e girando as palmas das mãos para cima. Recomenda-se fazer estes movimentos de forma contínua por até 10 repetições. 1- Sentada, posicione a faixa elástica em diagonal nas suas costas, uma mão próxima ao ombro com a palma voltada para a frente e a outra no meio das costas com a palma voltada para trás. Os cotovelos devem estar flexionados e abertos. 2- Inspire, e durante a expiração estenda os cotovelos, abrindo bem os braços na diagonal, como se fosse espreguiçar-se. Ao final do movimento a posição das mãos deve seguir a mesma linha dos braços. OBS: As sugestões de exercícios na posição sentada podem ser realizadas também em uma cadeira ou banco.
