Hello there stamping friends! Welcome and thanks for joining me on my blog today. Today I'm participating in a blog hop for CASE-ing the Catty, to kick off the new challenge for the week. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit. And this week we are CASE-ing from the Stampin' Up! 2024 - 2025 Annual Catalogue the colours of Frames & Flowers DSP - Found on Pgs. 28 - 29. There are 10 colours in this DSP - Early Espresso, Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Lost Lagoon, Old Olive, Petal Pink, Pretty Peacock, Pumpkin Pie, Shaded Spruce, Soft Sea Foam. That's a lot of colours. If you are playing along this week use a minimum of 4 of these beautiful colours. The Frames & Flowers Specialty 12" x 12" (30.5 x 30.5 cm) Paper is unlike other patterned paper packs. It has three sheets of double-sided designs with floral and greenery designs on one side and all-purpose patterns on the other. And it also has three sheets of die-cut greenery elements that you can use on card fronts or to frame photos on scrapbook pages. As a fun plus, some of the die-cuts are sized to fit card fronts, making it easy to create quick, beautiful cards. You get 6 sheets of patterned paper: 1 each of 3 double-sided designs and 1 each of 3 single-sided die-cut designs. Since we are CASE-ing these gorgeous colours why not use the actual Frames & Flowers DSP in our projects? I've used one of the DSP sheets and a few of the die cut pieces for my card today. I've started with a Soft Sea Foam base and then layered with cardstock and die cuts up from there. Like the Stampin' Up! Mix and Match Ephemera, the die cut pieces make it easy to create beautiful cards with minimal fuss. The Soft Sea Foam cardstock with the Pretty Peacock DSP makes for gorgeous colur combo. The Eyelet 3D Embossing folder embossed on the Soft Sea Foam creates some beautiful texture as does the embossing around the die cut circle. I finished the card off with a little foliage spray, Linen thread, Iridescent Pearls, the 'Happy' from the Say Something Mix and Match Ephemera and the Heat Embossed Birtday from the Friends for Life Stamp Set. To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing catalogues. This week, we are CASEING the colours of the frames and flowers DSP. This week, my creativity went for a little holiday.... so I CASED the paper AND the catalogue imagery featuring this paper straight onto a scrap page. I think this page is a very different style to my usual - very structured and rigid (that's a symptom of my creativity being on holidays!! I just couldn't think how else to do this!!) The background paper is pretty amazing - it has a gorgeous ombre feel in the whole sheet as well as the gorgeous silver foil detail - AND it's in the fabulous colour of the Frames and Flowers paper. I CASED the tags as they are in the catalogue - and only added some pretty pearls and the journalling using the Lost Lagoon marker. Oh, and this is different too - the title of the page was created using the Thoughtful Moments hybrid folder - and it's perfect for a scrap page. I hope you've been inspired by the catalogue (and my easy interpretation of it!!) and I would certainly recommend this great paper with the Frames and Flowers - so easy to use!! Here is a little different twist in colors for the Poised Peony. I selected one of the oval frames from the Frames and Flowers DSP. I colored the flower a little softer, and the leaves are Lost Lagoon with a touch of Petal Pink, to coordinate with the frame! With the pre-cut, and colored die, this card goes really fast! And can go for so many occasions! Measurements: Lost Lagoon: 1/2 sheet Basic White: 2 pcs @ 4" x 5 1/4", scrap Frames and Flowers (N): Oval frame die To Make This Card: Add "frame" to one White layer with Multipurpose Glue. DO NOT ATTACH TO CARD AT THIS TIME. Carefully stamp "flower" through the window of the frame in Memento Black ink. It just fits! Next, color as desired. (I used lighter Petal Pink and Lost Lagoon). Stamp sentiment in Pretty Peacock onto scrap of White. Die cut with new Labeled with Love Punch OR Die. Determine placement of "label" and then wrap Basic Beige ribbon around lower edge of card and tie in a knot, as shown. Attach "label" over ribbon with Dimensionals. NOW, you can attach this layer to folded Lost Lagoon card. Finish with scattered retired Pastel Sequins and a little Wink of Stella on the "flower". Welcome to another week at CASEing the Catty Sunday Blog Hop, where utilise the projects within the current Stampin' Up! catalogue to inspire our own projects each week. We also invite you to join with us in the challenge each week by using this inspiration in your own creations and uploading a photo to our Facebook page. This week we are taking inspiration from the beautiful colours in the Frames & Flowers DSP pack. There are a lot of colours in this DSP so you need to choose at least four of them for this challenge. I was inspired To use Lost Lagoon, Soft Sea Foam, Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie, and Early Espresso; as well as the other colours in the die cut piece from the DSP pack! For this card I started out with one of the wreath pieces from the Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP. This is such an unusual DSP pack as it includes three sheets of DSP and 3 sheets of pre-cut die cut designs. I added to this with flowers from Poised Peony, which doesn't seem to match the botanical pieces in the DSP, but it does coordinate beautifully. The sentiment is from Heartfelt Hexagons. You can see from this side angle that I have built up lots of layers which the photographs really don't fully capture. The flowers are adhered with Multipurpose Glue by their stems, and then have Dimensionals under the heads of the flowers which I have curled up slightly. The lovely ribbon is part of Petal Pink & White 1/4" Diagonal Trim. I hope you are inspired to join in the challenge this week, just use at least four (4) of the colours in the Frames & Flowers Specialty DSP to inspire your creativity, then post a picture of your project to the CTC Facebook page. I just love the DSP included in the Frames and Flowers "kit"! This clean & simple card utilizes one of the DSP pieces with a simple Peony. It's mounted onto a recently retired Radiating Stitches rectangle die. Measurements: Petal Pink: 1/2 sheet, 2 7/8" x 4 1/4" Basic White: 2 7/8" x 4 1/4", 4" x 5 1/4" (inside) Frames and Flowers (N): 4" x 5 1/4" (White floral) To Make This Card: Attach background DSP to folded Petal Pink card. Stamp "peony" in Memento Black onto White piece. Die cut with recently retired Radiating Stitches die. Color "flower" as shown with Blends. Stamp sentiment in Petal Pink ink. Mount onto Petal Pink layer and add to card front with Dimensionals. Finish with knot of Petal Pink stripe ribbon (ret) and scattered Rainbow (Petal Pink) dots. I also added a little Wink of Stella to the "flower".
