This wonderful textile is a remarkable French folk dress bodice, dating to the late 1700s. Such a gorgeous French female folk undergarment!! This textile has a small scale geometric pattern printed cotton on most of the exterior. This type of design was very fashionable during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. This textile also uses a silk brocade to either side of the opening, one green and one gold. There is some indigo fabric on the bottom and on the top straps. This textile is in extraordinary, well preserved condition (please see condition details below) with the fabric tones still vibrant. It was likely patched and worked on over the years, the fabric at the top of the straps looks to have been added later, as do the mismatched buttons. The lining is of heavy hemp and the back has the original lifts for the "rump" or bustle. These rumps are stuffed with dense straw. This is 100% hand stitched. A wonderful and very rare find!! I have several in my collection, please email for details! ( EC88 ) MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures approximately 18 inches long, 25 inches around at the waist, and the shoulders are approx. 12 inches. ~ CONDITION : This textile is in as found condition. It's in remarkable condition for its age! The silk brocade fabric has some holes, thinning and fraying. There are some pale stains, the worst is on the lower right front, as you can see in the photos. I've rarely seen another 18th century article of clothing in such well preserved condition!

If you've been fishing all your life, you probably think you know all there is to know about fishing. If you've never used a fishing pole before, you might think you don't know a thing. Fish like to catch bugs and insects in this area for their food, so try casting your lure in this area, and you'll be able to have the most bites. Just be sure to watch out for the grass and weeds! Many fishermen use light bobbers with little lights inside to help their night fishing. Lighted bobbers have a light inside of it to help fisherman tell when they have a bite. Go with an experienced fishermen if you are a beginning fisherman or wish to learn how to catch something new. They will be able to guide you to the best fishing areas and help you need to know to keep safe and have fun. Fly fishing can be a fun hobby to try.Fly fishing is a great activity that has a unique style and is different from other kind of fishing. If interested, you must buy different lures, lures, and even the kind of clothing you are to wear. Be aware of the weather forecast before each fishing in an area. You will want to avoid the water if there is a thunderstorm brewing. Check the upcoming weather in order to ensure that you don't fall prey to these unfortunate circumstances. You don't have to keep every fish you catch. Be mindful not to start a fire when fishing by the bank.A lot of people smoke cigarettes as they fish, and you need to make sure that the embers you light do not start a fire. The bank might be wet, but surrounding leaves and branches can catch fire. A cloudy day is a great day. When it is overcast, it cause the water to be dark, and fish must work harder to find food. Only keep as many fish for what you plan on eating. It's exciting to catch a ton of fish, but it's very wasteful to bring a huge bucket home with you, you are being disrespectful to the fish and the environment. If you've caught more than you can use, either release some back into the water or give some to your friends. Learn different casting that will have you making sure your lure drops onto the water without making too much noise. Fish are afraid of noise, which makes it difficult to accomplish what you've set out to do. Use the wrist while casting for a near silent cast. Pay attention to the movements of a fish's movement when reeling it in. The jumps will become less energetic until the fish rolls over to one side. This is a key observation that the fish is exhausted: it is now time to start reeling it in. The best time to engage in a break while out fishing is at noon. Enjoy a leisurely lunch and go back to fishing when the light isn't as bright. Don't go fishing all alone, even though fishing is a great sport that many people use to rest, rest and de-stress. If you get into an accident or you get stranded, then you should always have someone along in case of an emergency. Pack insect repellant in with your fishing trips. When you fish, know that there will be lots of bugs and insects like mosquitoes. Without the bug spray, chances are you will be bitten all over. This is the last thing you with good memories of your fishing day. If you are not catching anything for a while, try a different color bait. Some fish are attracted to duller colors, but other fish really want brightly-colored baits. Using barbless single hooks is essential if you want to practice catch and release your fish. This is the only way you can ascertain that you don't injure a fish you release it into the water. To help you have the most optimal fishing experience possible, take care to use a rod and reel that is suited for that fish. For example, a fish like a walleye is better suited to a jig and minnow or spinner rig, while other types of fish are attracted to entirely different lures and bait. Ask people familiar with the best fishing spots. You may be able to gather information from people such as park rangers, park rangers and postal carriers. Always make sure you have gotten permission to fish in the lake or other water body, and never go fishing with no permit. Keep your reel clean and well-lubricated.Casting as well as reeling in your fish are both important steps in the fishing process. A well lubricated reel makes casting time as well as simplifying the process of reeling in the fish. Maintaining your reel can make a huge difference. Pay close attention to the period of day when fish are generally more active. Most fish are active in the morning hours and late evening. However, this rule does not apply to every type of fish; for some, and some varieties of fish have their own timetables. This is why it is important to understand what type of habits the specific species you intend to catch behaves. Fish are protected with a slimy layer that helps them stay moist, you protect yourself from this slime. This practice will keep your fish fresh until you cook it, and it could also keep the fish in a healthy state if you desire to release it. Always make sure you are fully prepared when going fishing.Whether you fish by boat, by boat, or off a pier, you need to have everything you will need to make it comfortably through your trip. It means little whether you have always been a fisherman, or have just started to fish. No matter how experienced you are, fishing is always an enjoyable activity. It's most important to remember that there is always a chance to better your skills if you remain dedicated and focus on the achievements you want to have.
