Friends, one of my favourite songs is U2's "Beautiful Day." A recurring line goes like this: "It's a beautiful day / Don't let it get away." To make the card, I used Scalloped Contours Dies to cut the middle-sized scalloped rectangles from Soft Suede Cardstock. Then I cut a small Basic White tag with the Tailor Made Tags Dies and stamped my sentiment on it in Soft Suede. Using a small, doubled length of Parakeet Party Metallic Woven Ribbon, I tied a knot through the tag and trimmed the ends. From there, assembly was quick. I folded a Basic White Note Card and adhered a 2" x 5" strip of DSP to it. I also attached a 2" x 3 1/4" DSP panel to my scalloped rectangle, adhering it and the tag to the card base with Stampin' Dimensionals. Then I embellished with Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots. Hello again, The new early release Fitting Florets Collection (#163129) will be available from the 1st November. This includes stamp sets, dies, Designer Series Paper and embellishments. Some products will be available for a limited time and others will continue to be available in the Mini catalogue in January. More on this to come. The Framed Florets Dies (#160623) were used to cut the oval of hearts and to cut the inside oval from the Basic White card front (#159228). I dry embossed the Sweet Sorbet card (#159266) with one of the Elegant Eucalyptus 3D Embossing Folder (#159170). This was used to matt the card front and the attached to the Basic White base card. I stamped the flowers & leaves from the Framed Florets stamp set (#161815) with Tuxedo Black Memento ink (#132708). The flowers were coloured with Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends (#159224) and the leaves with Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends (#155521). I cut the coloured flowers & leaves and the detailed leaves with the Framed Florets dies. I used Soft Succulent card (#155777) which was backed with Adhesive Sheets (#152334) for the detailed cut leaves. “Celebrate” is also from this stamp set and stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink (#159216). A Seasonal Labels Die (#156299) was used to cut the sentiment. The flowers & sentiment were attached to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals (#104430). That Evening Evergreen gingham check is from the Fitting Florets DSP. It should be noted that I did some "surgery" on the photopolymer greeting stamp. The whole stamp said "For a special person on a special day" so I just cut the part off I didn't want to use. The two pieces can easily be stuck on a block together and used as a whole stamp later. Take a look at those embellishments. 😍 They aren't even as thick as a dimensional, so they should be fine going through the mail. The die that cuts this oval cuts the outer pierced oval frame and the inner oval at the same time. We popped up the inner oval for some added depth. Queen Anne’s Lace graces the roadside and meadows in the late summer, with its delicate, umbrella-shaped heads seemingly spun out of lace! This cast captures gracefully bending stems, the tiny florets and the wispy, elongated leaves perfectly. I have added a touch of delicate colour to enhance the tile. Product Description: All of my botanical tiles are hand-cast from an original clay mold that I create using flowers from my garden. They reveal many delicate details that often are not noticed in real life - the tiny hairs on a stem, the intricate flower stamens and pistils, the tracing of veins on a leaf. Hi Everyone, Sometimes you just need a really quick card or two and the Frames & Flowers DSP can come to your rescue. The papers are beautiful but the special parts are the die cut pieces you get with the DSP. The die cuts are all in the same colors as the DSP and you can pick and choose a few to layer on your card to get the look you would like. Just add a sentiment and you are done! Hope you enjoy!
