If you’re like me and save even the smallest “fiddly bits” of sock/fingering yarn for future use, then you’ll like this project. You create your own ball of yarn by knotting those bits together - nothing like being thrifty and artistic. Check out Hipknitizer’s Yarn Nuggets on Etsy if you want to pump up your scrap stash. This tubular infinity cowl starts with a provisional cast on. You simply knit until you’re done. All the knots and stray ends are hidden in the tube’s interior as work progresses. At the end, you graft the ends together with the Kitchener Stitch, creating a truly seamless tube. If you want to finish with a Three Needle Bind Off, that’s okay, too. All the knots and stray ends are pulled to the tube interior as the work progresses. WARNING: It is addictive to make your yarn and then watch how the color stripes knit up. I kept obsessively knitting the model until it was 100” long (and 8” wide) before attaching the ends, because it was just too much fun!

Hot off the press, the Tilly and the Buttons Lotta dress is suitable for all sewing levels. If this is your first dressmaking project then go for an easy woven fabric such as one of our printed viscose qualities. If you want to take your skills further then the Lotta dress can also be made in jersey, allowing you to use this pattern over and over again to create different styles. With a blousy bodice, full skirt and soft, elasticated waist, this style is as comfortable and flattering to wear as it is easy to make. "A deck of many things is usually found in a box or leather pouch. Each deck contains a number of cards or plaques made of ivory or vellum. Each is engraved with glyphs, characters, and sigils. As soon as one of these cards is drawn from the pack, its magic is bestowed upon the person who drew it, for better or worse." Put together with random "fiddly bits" of yarn from my stash, these dice bags reflect some of the chaos of the in-game equivalent of the Deck of Many Things. What will you draw? Each bag is ~6" wide and ~6" tall, and can hold between 55 and 70 dice, with some stretch. Each drawstring is reinforced with elastic cording.

This little tree frog is not too complicated to crochet, but it does have very tiny details and wire inside the legs, which are a bit fiddly to make.

Béchamel based Creamy Shrimp Croquettes are as popular as Korokke (Japanese Potato and Ground Meat Croquettes) in Japan. They might look a bit fiddly but actually it does not take long to make them. Great to make ahead and freeze.Unlike potato-based croquettes, you can enjoy the rich creamy flavour without pouring a sauce over the top. Total Time does not include the time to chill the béchamel mixture.

Over the past couple weeks, I’ve been testing a little embroidery piece that will be finished into something entirely useful. I’ve been using bullion knots. I love bullion knots!
