On the reverse side are the lyrics to Australia's most famous folk song, "Waltzing Matilda" written by A.B. Banjo Paterson in 1895. The music starts when you turn the wind-up key on base. The music stops when either the key unwinds fully or when you set the stein down. The colors in painting, the lettering of song, and the gold trim are in excellent condition - no rubbed off areas. The tin mines of Cornwall have an ancient history that extends back into the mists of time. Cornish trade links with the Phoenicians and Carthaginians, which pre-date the arrival of the Romans in Britain, are documented by Greek historians.
