'I have arrived, I am home' is a gatha (verse) I know from Thich Nhat Hanh, meaning, ' I don't want to run anymore. I've been running all my life, and I've arrived nowhere. Now I want to stop. My destination is the here and now. The only time and place where true life is possible.' Still, there are obstacles that keep us from being present, defence mechanisms from the nervous system we can be stuck in, such as fight, flight and freeze. In this practice, we'll work through the body, starting by standing in horse stance. We then move through some lunges and lizard poses before moving down to the floor for a seated sequence. This will release the 'fight, flight, or freeze' energy from the body, and activate the 'rest and digest' part of the nervous system. The sequence will relax you on the deepest level possible - because relaxation is the key to arriving in the present moment. Try this class and arrive home to yourself.
