This is a really quick card, given the FREE Botanical Butterfly DSP (SAB page 9) and Free but unavailable (til March) Organdy Ribbon Combo Pack (SAB page 7). The Botanical Butterfly enables you to create LOTS of cards, by just adding your sentiment. The sentiment and framelits come from the Dear Doily Bundle on page 47. I must say, I love this bundle so much that I keep going back for more!
I made 40 of these cards for a friend to give volunteers at our Bible study this month. I cut up the DSP in strips and because of the ombre in the paper I used two different background cards stocks to layer on- Daffodil Delight and Grapefruit Grove. I added either Highland Heather or Daffodil Delight sheer ribbon to them. I stamped the sentiment from All That You Are stamp set in Gorgeous Grape on white card stock and punched them with the Pretty Label punch. I stamped the butterflies from Butterfly Gala set in Memento Tuxedo Black on white and colored them with the Stampin Blends markers in Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight and used their matching punch. I finished them off with some retired sequins for bling! Hope you have a wonderful day and thanks for stopping by! Windy Stamp set: Butterfly Gala, All That You Are Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black, Gorgeous Grape Stampin Blends- Highland Heather, Daffodil Delight Paper: Botanical Butterfly DSP, Daffodil Delight, Grapefruit Grove, Whisper White Butterfly Duet punch, Pretty Label punch, sheer ribbon, sequins-retired

Hi everyone! Yay, it's Friday, the start of the weekend, and the As You See It challenge is back for the new year with a marvelous sketch: And here's my creation: Since my time is really crunched this week, I turned to the beautiful Botanical Butterfly DSP that is being offered as a Sale-a-bration item this year. These papers are GORGEOUS and really make your card-creating easy as pie! I cut a piece 2 7/8" x 4 1/8", backed it with a Basic Black mat, then added a sentiment and a die-cut butterfly and it was done! My sentiment is from Flourishing Phrases, and the butterfly is from the retired Bold Butterfly (retired) Framelits. The little ribbon is also a SAB redemption item from the Organdy Ribbon Combo pack! I hope you'll play with our lovely sketch..I will be using this one often...it's a keeper for sure! Check out what all the designers created by hopping over to the AYSI blog! Wow- this is such a pretty card! I just love the way it turned out. It is a totally Susie card. I used the Butterfly Kisses Suite on pages 36 & 37 in the Annual Catalog when creating this card. This card is a fun fold card called a Center Gate Double Flap Fold. Notice here how the top flap is attached to the left front side & the bottom flap is attached to the bottom right side! NOTE: Be sure when attaching the circle words that you only use dimensionals on the top 1/2 of this & do NOT have any dimensionals below thee center of the card- so that you can slide the lower flap under it. This is what it looks like when it is opened it. NOTE: You would not have to make this a double flap card that tucks. You could just attach both flaps to the left side of the card front. Then both flaps would open together & there would be no tucking. Here are the measurements & supplies. stamp set: 'Best Butterflies' card stock: Fresh Freesia- 4 1/4 x 11"- score at 2 3/4" & 8 1/4"- for gate fold card base Fresh Freesia- 3 1/4" strip- die cut scalloped circle Fresh Freesia- 1 1/2" strip- die cut butterfly Parakeet Party- 1 3/4 x 5" Parakeet Party- 1 3/4 x 5" Basic White- 2 3/4" strip- stamp words & die cut stitched circle Basic White- 4 x 5 1/4"- for inside of card designer paper: Butterfly Kisses DSP- 1 1/2 x 5"- striped Parakeet Party 1 1/2 x 5"- flowery ink: Parakeet Party other: Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine; Build a Butterfly Dies; Layering Circle Dies (large scalloped circle); Stylish Shapes Dies (stitched Circle); Basic Pearls; Fresh Freesia Ribbon; dimensionals; glue dots; Tear & Tape I hope you have a FABULOUS Friday!! Happy Stamping! Hugs- SUSIE

Hi everyone, a quick and easy card today, it takes about 15 minutes to make. This is one of the cards the ladies made at the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation fundraiser that I held last weekend. Cut a piece of A4 Sweet Sugarplum cardstock in half lengthwise and then fold in half to make your card base. The Rich Razzleberry mat is 9.5cm x 13.8cm and the Whisper White piece on top of this is 9cm x 13.3cm. Cut a piece of Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper 9cm x 10cm and stick this to the top of the Whisper White piece. Stamp the sentiment on the bottom, making sure to leave enough room for the Rich Razzleberry decorative strip which is made using the Flourish Thinlits. Cut out a Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper Butterfly using the smallest Butterfly in the Bold Butterfly Framelits. Sponge Rich Razzleberry ink on a scrap of Whisper White and cut out using the small solid Butterfly Butterflies Thinlits, layer the two Butterflies together using glue dots. Put all the layers and elements together to complete the card. A small strip of Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper was added to a piece of Whisper White cardstock 10cm x 14.3cm for the card inside. Do you like this project?
