Domenica 16 marzo sarà la Festa di Purim e per l'occasione vogliamo darvi la ricetta di alcuni semplici e golosi biscotti tipici i questo periodo: le orecchie di Aman. Durante la festa di Purim infatti è mitzvah donare dei dolci ad amici e parenti e tra i più conosciuti ci sono queste "orecchie" fatte con pochi semplici ingredienti e marmellata.
Ricette ebraiche. La festività ebraica di Purim è contrassegnata da allegria e da alcune usanze, tra cui quella di mangiare dei dolci come le orecchie di Haman, chiamate anche Hamantashen, “le tasche di Haman”, per ricordare l'avidità e malvagità del primo ministro che voleva uccidere tutti gli ebrei

We eat hamentashen on the holiday Purim. They are triangle shaped cookies because Haman had a triangle shaped hat. My dad owns a bakery and is a baker my whole life. He makes these hamentashen every Purim. They are my favorite. When I was in college he always mailed me a box. Now I just make them myself. Hamentashen are traditionally filled with poppyseed filling or prune filling, but my Dad makes other flavors too. Cherry is my favorite, but you can also use apricot jam or use your imagination.
