Thank you, everyone who participated in my give away drawing. It was fun to see how you are all encouraged by our paper crafting community. The winner is: Hazel of My Card Attic! Congratulations, Hazel, I will contact you soon so I can get your gift to you. It's spring break this week for our family, and I am going to be off line for most of it. Before I go, I have a card to share for PTI's Make It Monday #207 with Laura Bassen. She showed us how to partial die cut double time! I made a simple wedding card. I love how the background comes through the church windows: I used PTI's Petite Places: Church, and Mat Stack 3 dies to create the double cut. Then I cut out the sentiment with PTI's Swoosh and heat embossed the coordinating stamp in white embossing powder. The heart on the church is cut with a die from Shaker's + Sprinkles from Berry Sorbet cs. The background was a combination of inks: Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise, Orange Zest, and Berry Sorbet. The white panel is raised with foam adhesive. Laura Bassen's card on the Make It Monday #207 video is a real treat! Thanks for coming over to visit! I will be away from blogland for most of spring break, so I want to wish everyone an early Happy Easter. Have a wonderful day! Kara Lynne

Hello! I'm thrilled to be guesting for wplus9 with these dimensional die cut inlay greeting cards featuring the new No One Else Stamp Set and coordinating dies. The trick to getting perfect placement
One of the greatest things about having the exclusive Simon Says Stamp branded products, is seeing all of the amazing …
I've have joined in with the Stretch my Dies classes, these are the first ones I've done. I've always been put off by the thought of watching you tubes for ages while the card is made. But was impressed that they rarely went over ten minutes, there's also a pdf download for each class. While some of the things I already knew but it was nice to be reminded but has I said in a previous post there were a few things that I didn't think off. One of them was to use several dies to make a background, although I didn't make a background, more like a little scene with the Simon Says Stamps with the sun in colour and sunshine die set, the little birds from Home Building die set. Also my favourite die which is permanently on my desk Lavish Branch from Memory box. The sheet of patterned paper was left over from a card and although the class one used plain card I love how this turned out apart from the sentiment which need one over the top. Some matching sequins and job done. Can I just say that the sentiment may look sloping but I can say honestly its straight, its the photographer whose done a bad job. Back at 1pm with Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge.
Did you see Laura Bassen's awesome "Make it Monday" card? I used her technique to make this card. Love it. The stamp set is called "Daydreamer" and die is from PTI too.
I just love this week's ColourQ #146 colors, which for me are Pure Poppy, Simply Chartreuse, Kraft and Black. I think I could create all week with just those colors. But, time is short, so I have one card today. Supplies Used (PTI): Stamps: Happy Hexagons, Communique Sentiments, Tiny Tags, Mixed Messages Paper: Kraft, white, Pure Poppy Other: Hexagon Cover Plate, Tiny Tags Die, Twine
Hi bloggers! Happy Tuesday to you! The wait is over and the BIG day is finally here. No, don’t worry …
I used the Happy Birthday die again, and cut it up to make two different cards. Again, I used Gold foil to cut the words. I used Happy on one card, and Birthday on the other. The black-striped card on the left is actually from a Paper Pumpkin kit - Broadway Star, June 2018. I added the gold Happy, and the 50th. I like the colors in this kit - I'm very sad to see Lemon Lime Twist retiring. The numbers are from a retired set, Number of Years, and were cut out with matching dies. I'm so glad I have those! On the second card, I went with my previous idea for building the centerpiece with circle and leaf punches. I started with a 2 1/4" circle of Pear Pizzazz, then added a 2 1/2" circle of plain vellum. Add the punched out leaves and sprigs behind. Glue dot and dimensional the words on top. Finish off with some Gold Enamel dots. I hope you enjoy these special birthday cards! Supplies you'll need to create these (Stampin' Up, unless otherwise noted. Items may be retired.): Stamps: Number of Years, Well Said bundle Ink: Black, Mossy Meadow Paper: Gold Foil, Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Pear Pizzazz, Crumb Cake, Floral Romance designer series paper, vellum card stock Other: Broadway Star June 2018 Paper Pumpkin kit, Big Shot, Happy Birthday die, Leaf punch, Sprig Punch, 2 1/2" and 2 1/4" circle punches, Gold enamel shapes, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals (Mini and regular) Thanks for visiting, and Happy stamping! Welcome, 'Fetti Fans to Day 1 of the June Release for Reverse Confetti! This month is a fantastic release, with four new stamps sets & seven new Confetti Cuts! Today, we're showcasing two adorable new sets that both come with coordinating Confetti Cuts: Mermaid Kisses and Seaside. I started by smooshing some tropical teal ink onto my white panel. I diecut my Mermaid Kisses Confetti Cuts and stamped in the images using versafine onyx black ink. I coloured them in using ink pressed onto my acrylic block, water and a paintbrush. I embossed my lilac panel using the new Scalloped Cover Panel Confetti Cuts and applied a little bit of lavender fields ink with my blending tool. One of the things that I love about the sets designed by Dawn Machell is that the sentiments are all in the same font, so you can easily mix and match from different sets. Here, I paired the "happy birthday" from Monkey Business with the fun "fin-tastic" sentiment from Mermaid Kisses. To finish off my card, I added some rainstones, including a trio to the flower on the mermaid's head. For my next card, I was inspired by the current Fusion Card Challenge: Something Blue photo and sketch to make my card: I used the new Seaside stamp set & coordinating Seaside Confetti Cuts to make my card, as well as the new Scalloped Tag Layer Confetti Cuts. I started by diecutting my Scalloped Tag Layer Confetti Cut from white cardsock. I also impressed it onto a piece of watercolour paper and fussy cut it out by hand. On the watercolour tag, I coloured it in using four Zig markers, some water and a paintbrush. Then, I layered the white Scalloped Tag Layer over top. I layered it over some white cardstock that I trimmed and adhered to my Bazzill Basics Robin's Egg cardstock. I stamped the anchor from Seaside onto its coordinating diecut. I stamped the sentiment onto a strip of vellum in versafine onyx black and heat embossed it in clear. Lastly, I have a card to share that was inspired by this wooden sign that I found on Pinterest. I thought it was so fun! Here's the card it inspired: On a piece of fine linen cardstock, I stamped images from Seaside and Mermaid Kisses in versamark and then heat embossed them in clear. Then, I blended Altenew Dusk ink over top with my blending tool. To make it have more of a "weathered wooden sign look", I applied some cream acrylic paint to it, using a dry brush technique. I split the panel with my trimmer and stamped the sentiment onto another piece of fine linen cardstock, using the "Ahoy!" from Seaside & "new baby" from the previously released Whole Lotta Happy. That's it for today! There will be a $15 gift certificate up for grabs, so you make sure you leave a comment on each sneak peek post for each designer to increase your chances of winning! Comments will close at noon CST on Tuesday, June 7th and the winner will be announced at 5pm later that day. Want another chance to win? Head on over to Reverse Confetti's Facebook page and look for the graphic posted there. Thanks for looking!
Hello all. Here is my third challenge entry for OHW's VCMP. I have always wanted to learn this triple diecutting or triple stamping technique. I've seen a lot of tutorials out there, but like Seongsook in Seongsook's Creation said, there is a lot of paper waste. I understood her tutorial found HERE but I didn't have any rectangle dies or even square dies (never thought I would need them because it's easy to cut those out...hahaha) So I improvised and I didn't stamp the page either. This is a pretty patterned paper. This is my second card based on Seongsook's tutorial. I learned from previous mistakes I made in the first card. Instead of taking a ruler and making "frames" on my paper, I cut transparencies to the measurements I wanted (I used to be a Kindergarten teacher and still have my supplies) I used a Copic mark to color the edges or I would not see what I'm doing. This is the idea I want to achieve. I am also going to extend part of the leaves outside the rectangle. So I lightly traced the bigger rectangles first with pencil. My idea is to not cut off the leaves. This is what I mean. Anything outside the rectangle I kept. I did a better job cutting this second card out with the x-acto knife. My blade just didn't want to follow the ruler the first time. I glued the backs carefully, placing glue in the skinny parts of the cut. Then to avoid wasting paper, I cut a rectangle out of the center of the bigger piece. The leaves that are hanging out are not matted. I had a piece of scrap paper and I wanted some flowers to pop out. I didn't cut it exactly. I wanted that red flower, but not that hard edge so I improvised and made a slightly smaller flower. The bottom mattes have no dimensional tape to it. Just dimensional tape to the small matte on the front of the card is elevated. I wanted this red flower in the corner so I put some dimension adhesive on outside of matte to support it. Did the same thing to a leaf. I accidentally ripped my outside leaf when trying to attach it to the card so I cut out the blue flower and placed it on top of the tear. Here is the first card I made. Maybe you can tell, but the x-acto knife cutting is very crooked. Thanks for looking. Take care! Lynn Materials used: Paper: Colorbok (Beach House) and matching cardstock Stamp: Simon Says Stamp!
