Sympathy cards are so tough...I've read it's best to make them when you don't need them, but it's hard for me to make them even when I don't need them...just saying. I made a sympathy card with some
My Big Shot BROKE....😩😞😔😖...creating has temporarily come to a halt!! You say...it's just a die cutter...well, for me, it's like being a Baker without an oven!! Yes, I DO stamp😆, but even accenting stamping or die cutting stamped images...it is scary how much I depend on this machine!!! I ordered a machine from Walmart(2 day free delivery...)...only thing was, when I picked it up and took it home, I found I had ordered a Big Shot without a PLATFORM!! This will be my third machine...who knew a Big Shot would come WITHOUT a PLATFORM?????!!!!! NOT ME!! It DID come with a thick Sizzix die......REALLY???...THAT didn't help me as I had thrown away all the worn pieces of my old one when I knew I was getting a new machine. Yes, I now know to THOROUGHLY READ the description of whatever I am purchasing!!! So, I'm waiting for a two day Amazon delivery for a machine WITH a platform...until then, I have a card to share with you that I made over a week ago, that I hadn't put on my blog yet...all dies...need I say more???... I used a Memory Box die, Triple Stitched Heart die(I think it is retired, but I just got it), and the Mama Elephant Hello Script die. I layered the "hello" and glossy accented it. The Memory Box heart die has three hearts, I extetended the die to make five hearts, extending it across the card. I did this by die cutting the three hearts in the middle of the panel, and then placing the die over the end two (doing this for each side) and die cutting once more to get an extra heart on each side. I made another 5 heart strip and layered underneath the top panel, and then adhered colored die cut hearts that I had cut from the die. Here's a close up... Fun...Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa LinkDeli.com
Hello friends. Just a fun little post sharing some cards I've made using my new goodies from The Greetery. It was suggested when I posted a picture of all my new goodies on IG that I start with the Macra-Made dies, so I did, and yes, I did let out a little squeal out when I ran the dies through my Big Shot! These remind me of my college days when several of my friends and I learned how to make macramé hangers for our plants...oh the simple things!! The flowers in my pots are from the Summer Sketches set. During release week Wanda Guess showed a BEAUTIFUL card (HERE) and then Betsy did her own version of Wanda's card (HERE), so of course I wanted to play along and this is my take on the striped background! I used a striped stencil and a blending brush with some Lovely Lady ink and then simply added the die cut floral branch from Summer Sketches along with a sentiment strip using the Sentiment Suite: Thinking of You set. I was trying to channel my inner Heather Nichols with this card and stamped the Eucalyptus branches on kraft cardstock and then stamped with white pigment ink and Moonlit Fog (Gina K) ink. And of course I had to add the Mason jar from the Just Mason Around set. This card uses the Just Mason Around jar again and the Lemon Blossom set and will be going to my hubby as kind of a joke for his birthday. When he had a kidney stone a few months back, his boss told him that he used to get them (kidney stones) all the time until someone told him to drink lemonade, and since he's been drinking a quart of lemonade a week he hasn't had a kidney stone in 4 years. Truth or old wives tale?? I don't know, but I've been instructed to pick up lemonade every week at the grocery store since then! Anyway, FUN set to play with!! A simple card using the Simple Things stamp set...who would ever have thought Eucalyptus branches could be soooo pretty all on their own??!! And last but not least, a card inspired by Betsy's card using one of the stamps from Summer Sketches as a background stamp. And of course I had to use the Just Mason Around jar again because, well, you have to stamp them in every color combination to see what looks good (they ALL do!) and when they're all sitting there on your desk, well you use them!! Along with the purple flower from Fleur Impressions (Betsy's 1st release) and the flowers and leaves from Summer Sketches (yes, I stamped all kinds of color combo's with this stamp set too so I had lots to choose from!). A little bit of gingham (SU!) at the bottom of my card added to the country feel of this card. Now you know what I've been doing for the past week...it was like Christmas around here!! I still have the bird stamp set and branch stamp set to play with yet, but I will definitely get to them! :0) Thanks for stopping by today ... I love it when you do!

**UPDATE** If you're looking for the free file link, please scroll all the way to the end of the post :-) Hello crafty friends, I hope this day is starting out to be a blessed one. I don’t know how many of you are preparing for Passover, but it is such a blessed and holy time of year. If you are a Christian, then this is the actual and accurate feast day that has been set aside for us to remember how the Lord, the mighty one of Israel brought His people (us…if you believe you have been grafted into the vine) out of bondage. How this is the foreshadow of the perfect work of the cross and how Yeshua was the perfect lamb. I know many will be celebrating resurrection Sunday soon as well. While hiding eggs and giving candy has long been a tradition, it really has nothing to do with the meaning of the season. So as we have grown in the knowledge of our faith as a family, it has become more important for us to focus on the real meaning and understanding of our faith. May the blessings of YHVH be upon you and your households. May the perfect work of the cross and the understanding of the Torah…teaching and instruction of His Word, be displayed in your lives and those in your family Now on to today’s project. Here is a card I created with Close To My Heart Products. I started with a kraft base. I then sponged some ink onto my white mat. I used Pear ink for the outside and Cotton Candy Ink for the inside. I created an SVG file Overlay that incorporates the use of the Sweet As Honey stamp set. I cut one of the overlays out and then used some buttercup ink and stamped on the solid parts with one of the stamps in the the set. (Continue Scrolling Down For Free File Link) This is the overlay bundle I created that goes with the Sweet As Honey Honeycomb Stamp Set. They are in the following sizes: 6x6, 5.75x5.75, 4.25x5.5 and 4x5.25. Having these pre-formatted sizes will ensure that the honeycombs are the correct sizes for the stamp set. I also created the svg files for the stamps in the stamp set. I am offering this bundle free when you purchase this stamp set through my online gathering link. Once I finished stamping the honeycombs, I adhered the overlay to my sponged mat. Next, I used the Believe in yourself sentiment from the Believe In Yourself stamp set and stamped it with some Sky ink pad. I added some of the bitty sparkles to the flourish. I used some foam tape to adhere it to the card for a little dimension. I then stamped some flowers from the Hello Blooms stamp set. I also created an SVG file for this stamp set. I added some Clear Sparkles to the centers of my flowers and once again used some foam tape to give them a little lift. The SVG file set I created is free with your purchase of this stamp set from my online gathering link. Here is one last look at my card. It came together very quickly and easily. I have been enjoying time with my wonderful sister Rachel, visiting from Buffalo...she got snowed in here because of her connecting flight home in Baltimore, so I get to enjoy her for one more day!! Until I get back in my "haven", I've put together a card that uses the pretty Simon Says Stamp Single Roses dies and Painted Thanks die, along with...my beloved paint chips!!... I die cut the roses from 3 shades of yellow...shades are what I LOVE about paint chips...making these flowers was easy and fun to do with paint chips, the leaves from one green paint chip and the "thanks" from a black chip:)!! I layered all the elements... twice for flowers and leaves, three times for sentiment. Added to card with tiny glue dots to adhere to card and to each other. Here's a close up... These flowers are so wonderful:)!! See you in a couple days:)!! Thanks so much for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa InLinkz.com

I want to feature a brand new product called our Cupcake Card Thin Cuts Look at all of the dies you receive with this thin cut!! It totally has everything you need to make adorable Cupcake Cards. Here is what I made: A friend of mine came over and we made these three cupcakes. I love how you can change up the colors and they always look so good!! Do you see the sprinkles on the cupcakes? They are made by cutting out the sprinkles from scraps. I cut out the frosting and kept all of the little pieces to use on other cupcakes. I used a variety of cardstock on these cupcakes. The sentiment comes from our All-star Birthday Stamp Set. and our For All Occasions Stamp Set. Thank you for visiting my blog. I would love for you to show me a little love by leaving me a comment and then please go to our next artist, {Haley Dyer, the Inky Scrapper} and see what she has made with products from our September/October Catalog. I used the wonderful new CZ Design Chunky Happy die from Simon Says Stamp's newest Send Happiness release, to make a couple birthday cards... What I love about this die, is that it is a wonderful stand alone die! I chose to showcase it simply, with only a finishing stamped senitment, using the die a couple different ways. I used strips of patterned paper adhered together, to die cut the outside border for the first one. I then used the outline of the HAPPY die in white card stock, to make the word, HAPPY, stand out from the rainbow background. I layered both the background and the outline, and then adhered together. I was looking for an idea for a sentiment under the "HAPPY". Although I love them, I knew I didn't really want a sentiment strip...I wanted a stamp, but it had to be a sentiment for a birthday! I was inspired for the stamped sentiment, seeing a card created by the amazing Kristina Werner. Kristina used a scripted "birthday" which was so pretty, but I opted to use the "birthday" portion of the CZ Design "happy birthday" sentiment, from her Clean Line Everyday sentiment stamp set for my sentiment. I masked the "happy" with scotch tape, and used my MISTI to position and stamp the "birthday" sentiment on the card. I used my Wink of Stella brush within each of the letters, to give the HAPPY some birthday sparkle...here's a close up... The piece of paper I die cut both "HAPPYs" from was this(the finished sentiments are in the papers, as I didn't think of taking a pic until I was almost finished)... The second one, I did not use the background, but simply the outline and the pieces inside the outline for my card... I die cut the sentiment, and made the inside of the letters just a tad higher in height than the outlines for a little interest. I used the same stamped sentiment as the first card, and added three tonic drops for some bling. Here's a close up... I love simplicity, a wonderful die and a rainbow of papers...doesn't get much better for me!! Hope all is well in your part of the world...please stay safe! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
I kept things extremely simple this week. I just received some new patterned paper, so this layout is all about showing that off! Some basic measurements for you, if you like: the patterned paper part is 4.25x4, leaving 1.5 inches for the rest of the card base to fill. I placed my ribbon on the patterned side, not in the middle. It doesn't really matter where you place that dividing strip though.Supplies: Stamps: Floral Frenzy Ink: Bahama Blue, Spring Rain, Paris Dusk Paper: Pacific Point, Good Morning Sunshine Accessories, etc.: Satin Ribbon, corner rounder
Here is very quick and cute Valentine's Treat Holder that you can made with the Big Shot and the Petal Card die cut. My club members really enjoyed this and it is such a fast little project that you can make a bunch of them in no time..To make it, just die-cut the Petal Card die with your Big Shot Machine, cut off to of the 'petals' so that you are left with a heart shape. Put a 2 1/2' square piece of coordinating designer series paper into the square of your heart shape. I used a piece of DSP

Hi my crafty friends! I was sure that I had posted this one, but after some exhausted searching, I have concluded that it must just be my imagination! Surprise, a buckle card! I started by gilding my background. To do this I used the Moroccan mask and taped the edges of it so it was squared up over a piece of coconut white card. Using the Flake and Glitter Glue on a piece of cut 'n dry foam, I dabbed it all over though my mask. You must work quickly when you do this and when you are happy that you have covered all the spots, peel your mask up and wash it off! The glue will not dry while you are doing this, but it will make your mask too sticky to use again if you don't wash it off promptly. Next I used the Sunlight Speckle gilding flakes and scattered them all over my background. Using a stiff brush, I worked them into the glue areas. You just need to keep brushing into all areas are covered and you will start to see the flakes come away from any areas without the glue. You can return these to the container for a later use, no waste. You can also use a piece of Rubit Scrubit pad to do this with if you prefer. Next I cut the largest two sizes in the Stately Circles set together so I ended up with a frame from it. I glued a piece of soft gold card to the back of the circle frame and trimmed away any excess that showed through my decorative edge. I used two of the smaller sizes of the circle set to cut two more smaller frames. I stamped my sentiment on a strip of coconut white using a clear perfect medium so I was able too emboss it in gold embossing powder. I added a mat of soft gold card and cut forks into both ends. Using this strip and my circle frames, I was able to weave it through the openings to create my buckle focal element. I ran a piece of tape across the back of the strip and then added mounting foam for dimension. I mounted this in the centre of my gilded background. I matted the piece with soft gold, then added it to a larger piece of coconut white that I pierced around the edges on. The bottom area was just large enough for a bow using the gold/silver reversible ribbon and a pearl embellishment and stick pins. I added three flatback white pearls to either side of my bow and to the corners on my focal element as accents to finish the card. Finished dimensions are 7" x 8" in size. All for now, Sue x
Hi everyone. Sharing a set of three cards for the CAS Watercolour December Challenge - Thank You, before it closes on Dec. 15th. Bonnie is hosting this month, and what a great challenge for the end of the year. These three cards were created fairly quickly. Once I decided on the design, I simply made three of everything for the card base, die-cut corner panel with copper card stock backing, and stamped thank you. I used a complete stamp set to stamp in permanent black ink and then watercoloured the blooms and leaves with zigs. The matching dies make it quick and easy to cut them out. Here's a close-up of all three ... and ... and ... There are just two weeks to play along this month. We've shortened the playing time this month only, so that the team has some quiet time to get ready for the holidays. :) Stamps: Even more Spring Flowers; Handwritten Greetings (both from Simon Says Stamp) Paper: Mixed Media (Strathmore 140 lb. 400 Series); White (Neenah 110 lb.); Copper card stock (unknown) Ink: Versafine Black; Zigs Accessories & Tools: Corner die (AliExpress), Waterbrush, Matching dies for Even More Flowers (Simon Says Stamp) Challenges: CAS Watercolour December Challenge - Thank You
The new Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Flowers 2, from the new STAMPtember® release is SO beautiful!! I used one of the flowers and a couple of the leaves to make three cards to share with you today... The first one is colored with Prismacolor pencils, layered and adhered to a stitched panel stamped with 2 of the sentiments. This flower needs no extas, it is beautiful all...by...itself!! Here's a close up... The second one, stamped, embossed, and colored with Prismacolor markers... I layered the flower and the stitched window and used a sentiment from the new Tiny Words stamp set. Here's a close up... The third one, I stamped the leaves with Versamark, stamped on vellum, and gold embossed... I also stamped a sentiment from the new Spiritual Sentiments stamp set. I colored from behind the vellum, and adhered the whole panel to the card. I added some gold dots with a Prismacolor gold pen from my marker set. I added some braided gold thread. Here's a close up... Truly beautiful flowers....and sheer happiness to put them on paper!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa

Look what one of my downline, Kari, made at her class last weekend!!! She does amazing work. Isn't it just adorable?! She says she found this idea on Pinterest. He's just perfect. And the way the eyes are each on a different layer on the card is kind of sneaky looking isn't it? Too cool. I believe she used these circle punches with the Circle Thinlits dies: 2 1/2" circle for the left white eye, 3/4" for nose and black...

I have made a couple cards using the My Favorite Things LLD All Star High Top die set... This die set is one that was released a while ago, then retired(discontinued). My Favorite Things brought this die set "out of the vault" late last year, and I snapped it up!! It is SUCH a cool die, and SO realistic...and SO MUCH FUN!! It has been in and then quickly out of stock since then, but it's back in stock again, so I couldn't think of a better time to show you what I've made with it! For the first one, I used three shimmery metallic pieces of cardstock, adhered together. I then die cut the high top from the adhered strips. I layered the shoe and some of the pieces(you KNOW how I love layering:)!). The lace brads are die cut from silver metallic, and the sentiment is embossed with a combo of gold and copper powder for a kind of rose gold look...it went better that way with the paper I used than with simply gold. Here's a close up... The second one, I made a traditional converse, black and white... The background paper is different. I have a family friend who works in graphic design and kindly remembers me when her company is disposing of their paper sample folders. The striped paper is one of the pages from one of the books. Here is a pic of the "other" side of the paper..(I had already cut a piece off the page)... I determined that the sentiment could be stamped, and the the piece was big enough for an A2 sized card, so I cut it down, stamped the sentiment and adhered it to a card... Here's a close up... My sister is a HUGE Converse girl...I sent the second one to her(she said she's going to frame it😁, she loved it so much!) Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!! Lisa
I have wanted to make a card with hexagons for a while...and am in a rainbow mood, so...well...I made THREE hexagon rainbow cards:)!! I LOVE the Simon Says Stamp hexagon dies from the Perfect Shapes die set...they are smaller hexagons than the others that I own, and I think that makes them so much more versatile when it comes to using them on cards! I must admit, though, I die cut LOTS of hexagons in many colors, and in all the four sizes, but then couldn't come up with a pattern that I really liked...SO...when you need inspiration...I took to Google, and googled cards with hexagons! I came up with one by Debby Hughes that I loved...you can find it HERE on Pinterest (I tried to link to her blog, but could not)...thank you so much for the beautiful inspiration, Debby!! I loved the one-two-one pattern of her hexagons! I used the layout of her hexagons on all three of my cards...in different ways. Here's the first... I layered the hexagons, used a T ruler to line up the shapes, and a sentiment from Altenew. Here's a close up... The second one is like the first, but the colors lie underneath the die cut outs. The sentiment is also Altenew, as well as some more enamel dots... Here's a close up... The third one, I tried to use up some of the larger die cut hexagons. I layered them, and adhered them to white cardstock. I cut out around the white yardstick with scissors, and adhered the whole thing onto a black card. I used a Painted Hello die cut sentiment from Simon Says Stamp... Here's a close up... Ok...you know me and rainbows...sheer happiness...and such fun!!!! Thanks for visiting me today!! Hugs!!
