Good morning! Today I'm stopping by with a couple more cards featuring a stencil set from the recent Celebrate Release from Simon Says Stamp! I created one stenciled panel, and got two similar cards out of it - I love using angles on cards! I used the Tiled Posy layering background stencil to create a fun panel, then trimmed it in half and created two cards with the one panel. I used the pattern of the flowers to pick where to create my angled trim of the panel. Then I used the So Sorry stamp and die set to create the large part of the sentiment, and added secondary sentiments to each one from the Reverse All The Love preprinted sentiments, popping both sentiments up with foam adhesive. Finished off with a few Honey Bee ombre pearl stickers - they so fun! Here are more photos of these cards: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means that if you use one of the links below, I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Thanks so much for supporting my blog, and stopping by! Have a wonderful day!!!

Hello Lovelies! Being the messy crafter that I am, when I first saw the Tiled Art Stencil, I didn't think that I was going to get this right . That didn't stop me from trying though, and I'm SO glad that I did!I have a soft spot in my heart for yellows and purples. For today's card, I decided to do all my layers in purple, and finish with on ombre die-cut framing my sentiment.Time for Key Supplies!Get Your Supplies!1. Hello there and happy DieCember to you! Yes, it is that time of year again where Simon Says Stamp celebrate all things dies and die cutting. There will be fun things happening throughout the month but today sees the main DieCember release. For my cards today, I am using the new Privet Branch Die. PLEASE NOTE: This post contains affiliate links. Please see below for my full disclosure. I started off my cards by getting inky. I took sheets of Tim Holtz Woodgrain Distress Cardstock and placed them in my Splat Box. I then sprayed them with lots of different Distress Spray Stains. I will be honest with you, I was playing about so I am not 100% sure of the combination but these panels did use Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Villainous Potion, Mermaid Lagoon and Chipped Sapphire. I also spritzed them with Sparkle Sheer Shimmer Spritz before setting them aside to dry. Whilst they were drying, I die cut the new Simon Says Stamp Privet Branch Die multiple times from white cardstock with double-sided adhesive sheet on the back. For the first card, I die cut one of the inked panels using a Hero Arts Nesting Circle Infinity Die. I also used a larger die to emboss this on to an A2 white card base. The inked panel was added on top with tape runner. I then added on one layer of the Privet Branch on top, followed by another two layers, so that it was three layers high. I added on two Simon Says Stamp Reverse Sentiment Strips Birthday sentiments on top (cut using the Simon Says Stamp Sentiment Labels Dies) with foam tape. To finish off, I added Little Things from Lucy's Cards Bubbles. For my next card, I die cut one of the inked panels with the Simon Says Stamp Privet Branch Die. I also cut it another three times from white cardstock with the adhesive sheet on the back. They were layered up on to a white A2 card base and the excess cut off the top. I die cut another two Simon Says Stamp Reverse Sentiment Strips Birthday sentiments and added them on with foam tape. To finish off, I added a few Bubbles. Hello! I'm popping in to share my first cards using the new April 2024 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Wild and Free Flowers! This month's kit is full soft, muted florals, and lovely sentiments! The included stamp set by the same name has some pretty florals and scripty sentiments. There is also a fun embossing folder, lovely pattern paper and embossing powder and ink pad...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, and more! The monthly card kit has even more perks now when you sign up for the new Subscription service! There is a video HERE you can watch to learn more! My cards for this were a little later than planned, and honestly, quite different than what I probably would have made a week ago. Last week, the day after my mom's 77th birthday, we began the process of walking her to heaven. She passed early Friday morning. The next few days were a combination of a heaviness from saying goodbye, sadness for how much she will be missed, and happiness for her to know she is finally without the physical struggles she faced the last few years of her life. When I opened the April card kit, these cards just jumped into my mind, and had to be made. I cut some ovals from some of the pattern paper in the kit, and a larger one from vellum to layer behind for softness. I stamped the florals on the ovals with Heather ink, and then the sentiments over the top in black. The background used the included Floating Flowers 3D embossing folder, and then I finished off with some of the Lilac Dazzling gems. Here are more photos of these finished cards: Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means that if you use one of the links below, I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Hello Lovelies! I feel like Simon Says Stamp is spoiling me with all these yummy inks that we are getting in the releases? Every color in the rainbow and then some! This card is ALL about the inks. These earthy-toned Pawsitively Saturated dye inks are great for layering together, as they complement each other so well. I paired a yellow from the previous release with two of what I am calling the southwestern-inspired red-oranges. The card is finished off with soft brown petals and use white pig

Hello! I'm popping in to share my first card using the new August 2023 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Retro Wishes! This month's kit has a fun retro feel to the stamp set, with a good touch of florals and fun geometric elements. The included stamp set by the same name has some fun images to stamp as well as some great sentiments, there is a 3D embossing folder, pretty pattern paper...that's all not to mention the cardstock, embellishments, and more! I fell in love with all the fun patterns in the stamp set in the kit - and considering the "retro" in the name, I couldn't resist pulling out some fun colors to fit that them, and choosing several of the fun images to stamp a border. And...with the magic of the MISTI, it was just too easy to make several of them - since I just lined each image up once, then stamped several times. I actually made doubles of each of these to have more on hand! I used Tropic (included in the kit), and added Aegean, Citrine, and Pucker inks. I purposely overlapped the center 3 images a bit. I then added my sentiments, stamped in black, then tore the edges of those panels before mounting with foam on my white cardbases. The torn edge adds a touch of interest. Finished off with some white jewels for a bit of sparkle and shine! Here are some more photos and views of these cards: Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Welcome to the Simon Says Stamp STAMPtember Blog Hop! This hop should be filled with stampy goodness, so if you stumbled here accidentally, be sure to start back at the beginning at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog. And be sure to hop on over to Anna-Karin's blog next! For my project, I have to say that I am loving the Simon Says Stamp Extra Large Dots Stencil, which I used to create this notebook cover. I tried a new technique for this project and that was to stamp over a stencil. It was a lot of fun and worked better than I thought it would. Here's what I did: I started out with a large stamp, a piece of paper, the polka dot stencil and some ink. I laid the stencil over my paper, inked up my stamp, then stamped right on top of the stencil. When I lifted off my stencil, the stamped pattern was in a polka dot shape! Cool! Without cleaning my stencil, I moved it over and repeated this process until my paper was filled with the polka dot pattern I'd created. As you can see, after stamping on top of my stencil a few times, ink had accumulated there. Instead of washing it off, I put the stencil on top of a manilla tag and grabbed a baby wipe I'd used earlier. Using the baby wipe, I swiped the ink diagonally across the stencil so that it colored in the holes. It created a beautiful polka dot pattern on my tag that I could use for another project on another day. I'd cleaned my stencil and made a second background pattern at the same time. Multitasking bonus! Back to my first stamped paper! I cut it down to size, then smeared some green ink onto some of the polka dots for more visual variety. I then dribbled watercolors down from some of the dots. Next I added on some fabric scraps and paper butterflies, which I cut out of a piece of patterned paper. I inked up the fabric scraps and finished it off with a "Fearless" sentiment from the stamp I used earlier. I also added a safety pin and another fabric scrap. I attached this collage to the front cover of my notebook, which was put together with the Cinch machine. I added tabs, which I made using a tab punch, and embellished it with a few bits of lace. I hope you enjoyed my project and I can't wait to see what my fellow Design Team members came up with! And I especially like how big the circles are in the Simon Says Stamp Extra Large Dots Stencil. It's just perfect for stamping through! I love clever stamp sets. I always have so much joy creating with them. Simon's Mountainscape background stamp is one of the newer clever stamps on the market. While it is one stamp, you can cut the stamped image apart and use just a section and customize it to your liking. Like this project? Pin
Hello! I'm popping in to share another card using the new February 2024 Simon Says Stamp Card Kit - Love Story! This month's kit is full of vintage fun! The included Slider Typewriter and Camera stamp set has such a vintage feel, and a coordinating die with an interactive element (LOVE this one so much!) there is a fun embossing folder, lovely pattern paper and gorgeous ephemera...that's all not to mention the cardstock, envelopes, embellishments, and more! Today's card is a super simple and fun INTERACTIVE card! In the first photo above, you can see what it looks like, until you follow the directions and pull the little slider up to reveal the hidden message! I added a slightly wider strip of cardstock attached to the bottom, so it wouldn't slide all the way out of the opening cut in the typewriter. So fun! Backed with some wonky layers of the pattern paper in the kit to add some color and texture - and a few of the little ephemera bits on there as well! Here are some more photos of it with the interactive part engaged: Here is a closer look at the entire kit contents - you can see it all HERE: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Good morning! Stopping in to share a fun stenciled card from Simon Says Stamp that I partly created a few weeks ago at Lea Lawson's house while visiting her in Minnesota - and then finished up when I arrived home! I used some of her supplies to create this card - kind of fun to raid someone else's craft room sometimes, don't you think? I didn't use anything brand new - although most of it was new to me. I used the Daisies and Leaves stencil, paired with some bright citrus tones of Limelicious, Citrine, and Cheeky, and stenciled in two corners of my panel of cardstock. The sentiments are from a fabulous sympathy set called So Sorry - I love the font, and all the great sentiments that are a little beyond the basic sympathy sentiments. I finished off with a few Clear Drops: Ice from Pinkfresh to add a bit of simple sparkle. Here are more photos of the finished card: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you. Hello crafty friends! I'm so excited to be joining Simon Says Stamp in Day 2 of their Out Of This World Blog H
Hello! I've got one last set of cards to share this month using the new Be Bold Release from Simon Says Stamp - the other posts have been building my birthday card stash, but today I'm switching to Mother's Day cards. While this year will be a bittersweet Mother's Day - since my mom passed a couple weeks ago, and it will be my first one without her - I still have so many wonderful women in my life that have filled that roll in some way over the years as my mom's Parkinson's and the associated dementia slowly stole her away. So while there was a sadness while I finished these cards, there is also so much thankfulness for each and every woman in my life - and fellow mothers who understand just how wonderful and hard the role of being a mother is! For these cards I used the new Pretty Petals set, and since I used my MISTI to stamp them, I lined everything up and stamped in a few color combos. I figure once you've done the work, it only takes a few seconds more to stamp a few times and end up with even more cards. I love how fun it is to try different color combos! I then die cut them with the coordinating die, curled up the edges slightly, and adhered to a white cardbase with liquid glue, so there was a tiny bit of dimension, but not a ton of foam layers. I let the stems hang off the edges slightly, then trimmed the excess off. I stamped the sentiments, then popped those up with foam adhesive - had to have a tiny bit of dimension on there, right? I also rounded off one corner for interest, then finished off with a few fun ombre pearl embellishments from Honey Bee stamps - so cute, and they matched perfectly! Here are more photos of the finished cards: Product links are all below - including affiliate links where possible, which simply means if you use one of the links below that I receive a small commission at no additional cost to you.
