Okay, so you've had a week now...have you fallen in love with all of the new papers, stamps and more from Close to My Heart? Whether or not you've devoured the new book, I hope you are ready for another dose of creative inspiration with our New Product Blog Hop! If you've arrived here from Judy Faye's blog you are on the right track. We've got over 25 talented consultants participating and you are sure to find some amazing ideas as you hop through all of those blogs! Once again, Close to My Heart is offering a collection of exclusive Hostess Reward stamp sets. These seven sets are available only to our valued hostesses. This first card is created with the one of those exclusive stamp sets, Unicorn Dreams! There aren't many things more whimsical than unicorns, so the fun and whimsical Lollydoodle paper packet seemed like a natural match. The strips of B&T paper and Glitter Paper were trimmed with the Scallop Border Punch and topped off with the new Lagoon Zipper Lace. My second card features a stamp set and papers that have already proven to be popular with my customers! I just love the unique style of the Dreamer stamp set and totally love the slate and blue B&T print of the Ariana paper packet. I added the banners (cut from the Cricut Artiste cartridge) and the new Black Sparkle Flourishes for a little subtle bling. Thanks for joining us for this New Product Blog Hop. Time to move on and see what Melinda has created to share with us! Happy Scrapping! Happy Stamping! Happy Crafting!

Hello! Welcome to the Spring/Summer Idea Book blog hop hosted by the Rose Blossom's Team! If you just came from the talented Tammie's blog you are on the right path. Hop along with us to see loads of inspiration from this talented team! We are so happy you joined us! For this blog hop I constructed a Envelope Mini Album from scratch using the beautiful Skylark paper pack. The main components of this album are: Chipboard, Kraft Cardstock, Skylark Paper pack (CTMH), Skylark Dimensional Elements (CTMH) and Liquid Glass (CTMH). The binding method used on this album is "Stack the Deck + One". There are a total of 7 pages with envelopes slots on each side to tuck in another area to journal or place photos. (I can't wait to put black and white pictures of our family in this!!) This was super fun to make! I am super excited about the unveiling of the Close To My Heart 2014 Spring/Summer Idea Book! You're going to love seeing how our fabulous blog hop consultant group has put these great new products to use in this fun blog hop. (If you're already hopping, then you've already been wowed by the wonderful Wendy Coffman. You will hop on over to the talented Terry Ann Diack's blog next. If you get lost anywhere along the way, feel free to come back here for the complete list of hoppers.) My contribution to this hop is a card known as a side stair step or stair step card (tutorial HERE): To make this card, I used the NEW Balloon Ride paper pack and color palette to stamp one of the two hot air balloon images from the NEW Give a Lift stamp set with Cashmere ink onto Champagne card stock. Then, I cut and scored my card to make the side stair step card. If you'd like a brief tutorial on how to make this card, click HERE. (I decided to try to keep my blog hop post short for your hopping pleasure!) Then I stamped and cut the various elements that you see here. To color in this gorgeous balloon image, I created several masks, sponged with the "quick coloring" technique (see my tutorial for more on how to do this), and also colored with Sorbet and Creme Brulee markers, plus Cashmere and Saddle inks with a blending pen. The cheery "Wishing you happiness and sunshine" image was stamped onto a piece I cut with the CTMH/Cricut Artbooking cartridge. The base was stamped with Creme Brulee ink, then I inked up and stamped the sentiment in Sorbet and Saddle. The scalloped portion was cut with the CTMH/Cricut Art Philosphy cartridge. The "best wishes" banner (Saddle and Crystal Blue inks) was hand cut and adhered to the very front panel. To embellish my card, I used a resin medallion/button piece from the NEW Balloon Ride assortment and some Bronze shimmer trim. I so love all of our shimmer trims! (We've added Teal and Pink!) Can you see the faux brads I made from the shimmer trim? Just use a hole punch! Finally, here's another fun perspective of the side stair step fancy fold card design. If you don't already have your own Spring/Summer Idea Book, you can view it HERE. (And if you don't have a consultant already, just let me know, and I'll be happy to get in your hands!) Before you hop on over to the talented Terry Ann Diack's blog, I'd love to know what you think of this card, the Give A Lift stamp set, and the Balloon Ride paper pack. Thanks for visiting!

I chose to create a layout of my hubby and boys pheasant hunting in December using the new Timberline Collection and a few other marvelously masculine coordinating products. I love this paper and think it's great for so many things. Obviously camping, hunting, fishing, boating, and anything outdoors will work, but so will so many other things. I actually plan to use some of the wood print sheets from the Timberline paper pack for a shabby-chic sign in book I am doing for my son, Tannon's wedding next month. I'll share that when it's done as well. That wood doesn't have to look rustic, it can look shabby-chic as well. In fact, scroll back up and take a look at the cover of the new Idea Book. Can you see where some of that paper was used? Think outside the box! The new products I used are: the Timberline Paper Pack, the Timberline Complements Coordinating Adhesive Sheets, the Timberline Assortment, the Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment, Topiary Mini Chevron Ribbon and the cool new Durables Triangle Studs. If you’re hopping from {Joy’s blog}, welcome! If you’re just getting started, I’d love for you to visit all 21 blogs. When the hop is complete you’ll be right back here! This kit is fabulous! It’s just $15 with a $35 regular priced purchase. It’s full of new product and valued at $46. Just the stamp set alone is valued $17.95. The kit includes cards, triangle metal studs, new teal shimmer trim, cardstock, gold polka dot washi tape and die cut shapes that are ready to stamp! It is compatible with the Artiste Cricut Cartridge, but it’s not required to create these fabulous cards! I created this card last night from my scraps + a bit of Sunset orange cardstock from the card base. Everything else is from the card kit. This is one of the 5 cards for tomorrow’s workshop. I sized this card a little smaller than usual so it will fit in a standard A2 envelope. FREE GIFT TO YOU! Well ladies the new Spring/Summer Idea Book is here. You will love all of the new paper that is in this book. There are 7 new paper packs to pick from along with several new embellishments to compliment the papers. We also have new embossing folders to pick from. Make sure you check out my tab for 'Promotions' to take advantage of this month's special where you can get your embossing folders for FREE! Here are some cards I created for a workshop that I hosted last month. The first two cards I used our new Skylark paper pack along with Petit Perks stamp set. Super cute and easy to make. Notice the beautiful new Teal Shimmer Trim! Even prettier in person. There is also a new Purple Shimmer Trim that is great as well. The card below I used the new Ariana paper pack. I made the pretty roses/flowers using CTMH Cricut Art Philosphy and a quilling pen. Super easy and such a pretty way to embellish a card. This would make a great card for Mother's Day, which is just around the corner! The below card uses our new Ivy Lane paper along with the stamp set from the Ivy Lane WOTG card kit. I am currently using this paper pack to do a layout with flip flaps. I will be posting that soon I hope. Gotta finish up the embellishments and add the flip flap and then I can share it with you. I hope this gave you some inspiration to make some cards and show you how easy it is to make simple cards that you can share with your friends and family. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how these cards are made or if you are interested in getting some of these products to make your very own beautiful creations. Don't forget to check out the rest of the ladies who have posted their creations on this blog. There is some really great stuff. Happy Scrapping till next time! LORI

Hey there, checking in again after a super busy autumn! I was happy to visit with some family I hadn't seen in a few years and travel around the province a bit. Now that COVID numbers are on the rise again, I am glad I visited when I did! I have been having a blast hosting monthly online crop weekends since March. I dole out some challenges and the attendees always hit it out of the park with their creations. I usually do a few creative tutorials with them during the weekend and thought I would share some of the cards I've made during these events. This first one was inspired by a layout done by Gina Brandstetter (which I did duplicate for my album!) and thought I could scale it down to a card front size. Lots of stamping and a bit of embossing and fussy cutting, but love the finished result! This card was to demonstrate an emboss resist technique along with some ink blending and using tools in ways other than they were intended. Slimline cards are making a comeback too, so I wanted to show them that size card. And finally, this set of cards was the result of demonstrating a crayon resist technique and ink blending using the Distress Oxide inks. So pretty and so easy! Thanks for popping in, leave me a comment to say Hello! Roz

Hello on this fine Tuesday. I've got samples to share with you today from my Close To My Heart Spring/Summer 2014 Idea Book Trunk Show. ...
The Balloon Ride paper is one of my faves in the new Spring/Summer IDEA Book. The colors are soft and springy. I also love the crackled effect on the papers which lend well to shabby, vintage-y projects that I love so much. Here I glammed it up a bit with some banners cut from our Brown Glitter cardstock. Wishing you an uplifting weekend.
I never thought I would be one of those scrappers who scraps their pets. After all, I have four kids, so that should provide me with enough photos to scrap for the next 50 years! But the kids are less cooperative as teenagers than they were when they are young - shy of the camera, and mostly annoyed at being harassed by mamarazzi! So, when we welcomed two rescue kittens into our family ( and hearts!) in October, they became a new photo obsession, and the naturally scrapbook pages will follow! Here is my first, of our sweet girl Dallas: The 3 D flowers, leaves and other embellishments were made quickly and easily with the CTMH Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge! I know there will be more to come! Our other kitty, Sophie, is looking a little jealous, so I better get working on a page for her!
Sunday (after church) is usually my play day. I missed last Sunday because we were out of state. So….today I'm catching up on fun time! Although I really enjoyed our trip last week :o) Truthfully I made these cards a few weeks ago but it haven't had a chance to post them yet and I think these are good entries for the Love Inspired theme over at H2H as well as their Hearts Galore challenge. Cards like this one with little hanging banners go together so quick that you might as well make a couple with your scraps at the end of each creative session. I was inspired over at Studio Wow Joy to make this rosette with the new CTMH gold polka dot Washi tape. I made the rest of these using the sketch that I sponsored over at Tuesday Morning Sketches. I love CTMH mini stamps - they're only $2.95 and each one is so fun it's hard to stop stamping them! I figure that I can use the next two to send along with the St. Patrick's Day t-shirts I bought last year for this year for my grand kids. This stam This showcases the same sketch, just had some fun using embellishments that I already had out, and the glitter strip is made just using double stick tape. Fun! Of course if you would like to know more just leave a comment and if you would like to shop my CTMH site click here:
