Well, we're finally at the end... this is my final winning project from the Make It From Your Heart contest. And it's the one I'm most proud of... I turned a CTMH blank card box into a trinket box that looks like a book on the outside. {yes, I'm patting myself on the back... lol} It' looks so cool in real life. I am in love with this book/box! This 3D project won for the September Stamp Of The Month - Limited Edition category, using the Typeset Level 2 paper pack. First, I sponged Chocolate ink over the edges of the entire box. To make the cardstock look like "pages", all I did was score 1/8" lines onto pieces of Bamboo cardstock and then I lightly sponged Desert Sand ink over the lines. I wrapped a piece of Juniper B&T around the spine of the book, using some 3D foam tape underneath to give it a more rounded look. I also scored double lines closer to the top and bottom of the Juniper B&T "spine", and then inked those score lines in the same manner as the "pages". ~~~~~~~ Well, I hope you enjoyed all my projects, non-winners and winners, too. I've had fun sharing them with you. Happy creating! :) Supplies used (all CTMH): Paper: Typeset B&Ts; Bamboo, Colonial White, Creme Brulee CS Stamps: Limited Edition - Sept. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!... and Thank you for stopping by to enjoy our January Stamp of the Month Blog Hop featuring this month's SOTM: Happy Valentine's S1301! If you've just arrived here from PAMELA'S BLOG then you are on the correct path. This standard-size card design featuring the La Belle Vie papers (X7158B) is inspired by Originals - Sweet & Simple (p. 108). Images were stamped with Black Staz-On ink and colored in with Smokey Plum and Sweet Leaf markers. Edge distressing is done with a sponge dauber and Desert Sand ink. Notice how I colored the adhesive-backed bling gem (from the Boutique assortment Z1763) with a Smokey Plum marker. Our NEW alcohol-based markers can be used to color any of our clear sparkles and pearl adhesive gems nicely! I hope you will try it out!! Here are all of the images (below) that come in this stamp set that is available during January 2013 only! Now you can continue on with our Blog Hop to be inspired by more creativity using this stamp set by visiting WANDA'S BLOG next! Enjoy!!

Welcome to this month's Technique Blog Hop where we are featuring "Interactive Elements" while incorporating Close To My Heart products. Participants can interpret the theme however they choose so it will be fun to see what they have to share with all of us. If you are coming from Haley's Blog, you are on the right track. You can find a complete list of participants at the bottom of this post. For my card creation, I decided to create a Spinner Card (and maybe for the first time - oops). I have possessed this Spinner Thin Cut for quite some time but had not used it, yet. Honestly, I was a little intimidated by it and I should not have been. Directions were included (and are also provided as a download on my website) and that is what I used. Be sure you have a brad to use as it is what allows the spinner to be functional. I enjoyed incorporating these coffee cup images - and had to include the facial stamps this time - from one of my favorite stamp sets. I used Distress Oxide Inks to discolor the background as well as to color the holder on the left. Some paper-piecing was done on the holder on the right. I could not resist using this adorable stamp set, again, "Desserts a la Whirl". As you can see, it includes fabulous sentiments that could be used in the window. If you want to see a Spinner Card in action, and how to create one, watch this brief video. I hope my card inspires you to give the Spinner Card I try! Enjoy seeing what else the participants have to share with you. I don't doubt you will enjoy all of it! Now, head on over to Michelle's Blog to see what she has to share with you and enjoy the rest of July! Participants: 1. Melissa Robinson *YOU ARE HERE* 2. Michelle Loncar 3. Cat Nowak 4. Brandi Robinson 5. Darlys Recker 6. Tamara Sandwisch 7. Wendy Kessler 8. Haley Dyer

I love photo inspiration challenges because you can really let your imagination go wild and take your project in any direction! Will you create a 3-D object? Something with a bird? Pull the colors from the photo? There are so many choices and we are all so excited to see what YOU do with the lovely soft vintage inspiration photo below! Here is what the Design Team created this week to get you started on your own project! Click here to visit Guest Designer Amy Click here to visit Allisa Chilton Click here to visit Shirley Ross Click here to visit Melinda Everitt Click here to visit Jayma Malme Click here to visit Katy Taylor Click here to visit Paige Dolecki Are you ready to play and join the fun? We have a few very simple rules to follow for our challenge so please be sure to read them as we hate to have to delete a linky to your beautiful artwork! Use Close To My Heart products. Your project doesn't have to be 100% CTMH, but you must use some. After all, this is a challenge blog created and sponsored by CTMH consultants. Incorporate this week's challenge...our vintage Photo Inspiration. Link your project back to Heart 2 Heart from your blog or online gallery. If you are linking from a blog, you must link directly to the actual post, not your entire blog. This will let people find your work long after the challenge has past. You need to mention Heart 2 Heart (H2H) in your blog post. Finally, we do ask that you consider turning off word verification, as it does make it easier for the design team (and others) to leave comments. See, I told you they were simple rules! I can't wait to see what you create and share with us this week! Stay crafty my friends, Paige

Hello everyone! Can you believe it’s time for April? March blew through too fast in my opinion! Welcome to this month’s Stamp of the Month blog hop! A hop goes in a big loop so once you see our 60+ participants, you’ll be right back here. If you’ve come from Michelle’s blog welcome! This month’s stamp of the month is “My Sunshine.” It features 8 stamps, of which 6 are compatible with the Artiste Cricut Collection. Yes, I’m counting the circle as Cricut Compatible even though there’s no line around it. I did create two cards. One is a swing card and the other is based on one of the card sketches in the Make It From Your Heart book. I’m now loving that book and use it as often as I can to base my cards on. The first card came to me as soon as I started playing with the stamp set. The sun looked like it could fit right around the circle on a 5 1/2” swing card. And it does! Then I had to add some cute little clouds. I love this Artiste bundle. One button has a theme. In this case, the sun, hot air balloon and the clouds happen to be on the same button! That is so helpful. A sign of a great stamp set is one that compliments the other sets in your collection. I couldn't resist grabbing my Card Chatter Sympathy set and adding the sentiment, “Just a note to brighten your day… and chase the clouds away.” I cut the sun in Buttercup cardstock two times, inked the stamp fully with Honey ink and rock and rolled the edges of the stamp through Sunset. It’s a bit tricky since we don’t have a block that just fits this stamp. Instead of lining up the stamp with the edge of the block, I used the edge of the inkpad so I wouldn't get too much Sunset ink. My favorite part of this set is the “You’re tweet” sentiment. I’m not a big Twitter fan, I just like it when birdies tweet! So I had to make a second card using that sentiment. My second card is based on a pattern from the Make It From Your Heart. I wanted clean and simple and it worked! Using the For Always black and white, I simply used black ink and stamped away. I have to say that I didn’t like the bird until I added an eye. He looked a little odd without it. HELPFUL TIP OF THE DAY: when making a nice clean card like this. Stamp the images. Go WASH your hands. THEN assemble the card. The ink will be dry and your hands will be smudge free! I test-dove the layout of this card on a different card base. One that wasn’t as fortunate because I didn’t wash up between stamping and assembling. (And yeah, my hands look like I dyed Easter Eggs right now. No, I’ve just been stamping. LOL.) Next up on the blog hop is Hayley Dyer. This stamp set is available for $5 with a $50 purchase! Or if you sign up to be a consultant in the month of April, you’ll receive it and the May, June, & July stamp of the month in your starter kit! It’s only available 4/1-30. That’s a fabulous deal and a wonderful way to kick-start your business!

A fun stationery project completed with the Perfect Fit-Frames stamp set and a Monogram. There are five cards, lined envelopes, seals for the envelopes and a holder to store all of them. This would make a great gift. Each Monogram stamp is approximately 1 1/4" in diameter and are packaged in an adorable little 3"x3" stamp envelope, just like our regular size stamp sets. Each letter is only $2.95. For this project, Close To My Heart papers from the Dakota kit were used along with prepared cards and envelopes from the 50 card value pack. The shapes for the Perfect-Fit Frames stamp set were cut using images from the Art Philosophy cartridge and the magazine-style holder is available with the Artiste cartridge. The 1 1/4" circle punch is the perfect size for the monogram letters. Thanks to CTMH fellow consultant Lisa Stenz for sharing this great stationery idea.
